Read these jokes and tell me what you think?

Q. A woman walks into a tattoo parlor. She gets into the chair and tells the tattoo artist, "I want two tattoos, one on each of my inner thighs. I want a turkey on one thigh and a Christmas tree on the other."

The tattoo artist begins his work, but is a bit confused, so he says, "Lady, I'll do anything my customers want, but I gotta ask, why would you want a turkey on one thigh and a Christmas tree on the other?"

"Well, if you really want to know," she firmly answers, "I'm sick and tired of my husband telling me that there's never anything to eat between the holidays."

What is six inches long with a head on it, that women like to blow?

MONEY.

A man takes his wife to a livestock show. They start heading down the alley where the bulls are kept. A sign in front of the first bull says: "This bull mated 50 times last year."

The wife turns to her husband and says, "He mated 50 times in a year! You could learn from him."

They proceed to the next bull and that sign states: "This bull mated 65 times last year."

The wife turns to her husband and says, "This one mated 65 times last year. That's over 5 times a month. You can learn from this one, big time."

They proceed to the last bull and his sign reads: "This bull mated 365 times last year."

The wife's mouth drops open as she gasps, "WOW! He mated 365 times last year. That's ONCE A DAY! You could really learn from this one!"

The man turns to his wife and says, "Yeah, okay. Go on up and inquire if it was 365 times with the same cow."

A. Lots of smiles. I think the woman in joke one and the man in joke two should get together and discuss the reason behind the meaning of MONEY

Where's the best place to put a tattoo?
Q. Where is the best place to put a tattoo on a woman out of sight, taking pregnancies into effect. I was thinking hips. I don't want any on my back.

A. On your skin! OK bad joke. There are a few places that will warp less with weight gain/loss or pregnancy. A lot of the people had it right with wrists/ankles/calves.

Wrist tattoos are delicate and (IMO) attractive. My friend has a wrist tattoo and she hides it with a watch or a bracelet.

Also, if you have longer hair, behind the ear is a nice place that won't stretch terribly with weight gain. It can be shown off easily with wearing your hair up, but hidden just by wearing your hair down or using stage makeup.

I want this tattoo, any inputs?

Q. http://by69.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/cherry-blossom-lower-back-tattoo-for-girl.jpg
I also want to get in script "Love conquers all" across my chest
and I sunflower type thing on my foot.
I love tattoos and I have a high tolerance for pain.
The pain isn't an issue.

A. If you like the cherry tree, get it. It IS beautiful, though, as someone else has said, not very original. But then again, what IS original in tattoos? I've seen pics of everything from cat butts to dandelions to electricity posts and umbrellas.

What I wanna advise you AGAINST is the chest tattoo. I love tattoos, but NOT those. I feel that one of the best parts about a woman's body is her silky smooth chest and clavicle area. Don't ruin that natural beauty with some lame quote. Yes, everything HAS been done already but that "Love conquers all" thing... that's just TOO MUCH cliche. Almost as bad as the "girlfriend-boyfriend name" tattoo and the rose and the anchor. Quotes about love.

But hey, if you INSIST on getting that quote, at least do it somewhere else. Don't ruin your pretty chest with it.

Have you actually seen an old person with tattoos?
Q. I googled old men and women with tattoos.
These two are amazing!
Really, I think that you can get full body tattoos and they will still look nice years and years later as long as you stay healthy and in shape (and the tattoos started out as really nicely done by a great artist)

Look at these two!
https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdhY1sh1Cfr92B5Fpmo_UiQ6aXh2aZ7-mxxOAfOWJqz5OjjkvZM3Us7-UmXXXqjBJEDY_LjeFCMwNxHhWufv4Azizl2eMotseR1F2126kYjyu_rZJ50sQAkUzbNH0kRfZwUddyYGdjNRg/s320/old-man-tattoo%5B1%5D.jpg

http://www.funatico.com/media/pics/overtattooedoldlady207.jpg

That's amazing.
I wish I could see one of them in real life.

So anyways, my question is: Have you seen an old man or woman with tattoos in real life?
Did the tattoos themselves look good still, or could you not understand what it was?

A. Yes, I have...many times. The most beautiful one I have ever seen was a woman in her 60s who had a double mastectomy. Instead of undergoing breast reconstuction, she opted to have a tattoo done over her scars. It was a rainbow, with clouds, raindrops and 2 doves. It was awesome.

It covered almost her entire chest area. It was indescribable...the most beautiful tattoo I have ever seen. The artist who did it is obviously incredibly talented.

what is a good font for tattoos?

Q. i want to get a tattoo on the side of my foot saying, "live by faith not by sight" but im not sure what a good font would be for it. i want it kind of small..
thank you!

A. http://www.tattoodesign.com/tattoo_lettering_designer/tattoo_fonts/feminine_women_girls/page_1.php

you can write what you want to get and play around till you find something you like.

Tattoo font - Which font is that?
Q. Hi,
I'm searching for a font that looks exactly like that:
http://cdnimg.visualizeus.com/thumbs/4f/52/random,tatoo,tattoo,women,tatoos,cute,feets-4f52f89b7310d850b08b986678100f42_h.jpg

(or at least a bit like that: http://heidirohrdesign.files.wordpress.com/2010/09/tattoo.jpg )

I was searching on daFont for similar fonts, but couldn't find a nice one. I want it for a small tattoo and I don't like those "typical" tattoo fonts with too many big flourishes...
Can you help me?
Are there other websites I could search for the font?

A. actually most tattoo artist that are any good can free hand the words how you want them vs using a font which anyone can use. I believe it is best to get freehand vs basic font so that your tattoo will be an original work of art vs walking around with font that someone else has already... also ask for your layout afterwords so only you will have it.

I recently got a tribal tattoo and I couldn't find what it means. Does anyone else think they could ?
Q. When I got on goggle to look up spinal tattoos for woman, I saw this particular one that I fell in love with. I couldn't find a meaning for it, but then again I'm not the most tech savvy person or patient enough. Anyone up for the challenge to find a meaning ?

http://inspirationcalorie.com/inspiration/tribal-tattoo-designs/ its number 4

A. Very very few tattoos have any specific historical meanings, a few are linked to specific gangs, motorcycle clubs, or groups within large prisons. Some Polynesian designs show a family link to other people with that design, and some Maori designs have links to clans, ancestors and parents.
The other 99% of tattoo designs have no given meaning outside whet the person with the tattoo chooses it to have. "Tribal tattoos" are a selection of black ink designs created by tattoo artists in the early 1990s, they have no history behind them, no previous cultural gravitas and are essentially just nice patterns.

Will my tattoos prevent me from finding a steady girlfriend in Korea?

Q. I have one foot completely covered and one half sleeve, shoulder and a full back tattoo. Generally speaking is this too taboo? Will a westerner with all these tattoos, have a hard time finding a steady girlfriend in Korea?

A. Korea's attitude toward tattoos is gradually changing. Tattoos are considered to be markings of an asian mafia membership (such as Yakuza or Chinese Triads). Most Koreans will understand that you are not in a mafia but they still may be reluctant to get too close to you personally because of the cultural attitudes towards tattoos. While you are here, do as much to cover the tattoos as possible. I know this advice sounds harsh, but it will keep you from being ostracized. A Korean girl will need to be slowly eased into the fact that you have tattoos because it will be a major culture shock to her. Hiding your tattoos is also important because they will attract the wrong kind of Korean women, the ones who hop from western guy to western guy seeking material pleasures. There are many attractive western girls here also that are completely okay with tattoos.

Thoughts on tattoos - good or bad?
Q. I'm 17 and thinking of getting tattoos soon. Women - do you find them attractive. Does anyone know how they will affect my career options?

A. I'm 18..

I personally think it depends on your personal style, how big the tattoo is, where it's at, and what the tattoo is of.... All these things determine if it is sexy or not.
=)

MOST OF THE TIME,.... yes, I like it.
But please, don't just get a tattoo because you want one. You should get it if it has valuable meaning.

I had cancer... and I have "Cancer Surviver" written on the back of my neck in Korean (since i'm part korean)

Men and Women's Tattoos?

Q. Do men like women with tattoos all over their bodies? Is it too much like a man?

A. I believe a tattoo can be sexy on a lady. Just as long as she is not a big tattoo from top to bottom. A discreet location that can be showed at appropriate times should b OK. You have to think about careers also. You can't work some places with tattoo's shinning. Just a personal opinion! My mom had one and sister has one on forearm she wishes it was another location to be able to cover easier without long sleeves.
I don't like a lady with a rash of tattoo's it just isn't lady like and a man with a bunch isn't all that becoming either

Tattoo care question does this matter?
Q. I'm getting a tattoo under my breast.
like right below my bra or right under it

My questions are
1)Will it look stupid because I'm small chested?
2)Is it best If I go bra less as much as possible when the tattoo is healing
3)My phrase is 7 words long, what font size is best to not look to small or to large

thanks
Brock Fesmire

How so?

A. 1. Personally I find that sort of tattoo more visually appealing on a woman that isn't as "top heavy" so to speak. I feel the tattoo stands out better on models with a smaller chest size in that location.
2. If you can it'll help- You don't want anything rubbing against the tattoo while it's healing.
3. I would speak with your artist in regards to this- He or she can help you choose a font large enough it'll not blur with time, but not so large that it will look less appealing. Personally I would try for something where all 7 words fit under your breast at a slight curve, but it's your tattoo and your decision. Your tattoo artist will be able to tell you what will work and what will not, and be able to give you ideas on what will be more visually appealing based on the tattoo and your body.

hair bleaching, hair colorong & hair rebond?

Q. ola ola!!! last month i got my hair bleached done wit my mom and when i got the results its very very uneven!! and in the afternoon i went to a salon to change the color bt still its uneven. then after 3 days i went to another salon and tedeeeeeng. its now better. theeen, after 1 month i want my hair to be rebonded but i am so hesitant. will it damaged my hair more? -.- i need your opinion guys... heeeelp!! ;) tia ïü

A. I do not recommend it. They last about 3 months, and cost about $300-$800. DOING ALL THREE means 3x the risks for hair damaged, hair falls and/or cancer.

Q. So I'm gonna dye my hair next week and I don't wash my hair often (I do it every 2-3 weeks) since I maintain it very good. I wanted to know if anything would happen when I get my next relaxer?

A. Heat & chemicals = hair's worst enemies, with hair dye & relaxers that's 2X as much chemicals and 2x risks in getting cancer.

best henna tattoo shop in NYC?

Q. I'm planning on getting a large henna tattoo on my back, something very detailed going from my shoulders down to the tail bone. pls tell me of any henna tattoo shops that have very talented artists and that wont kill my pockets.

A. OOOOoohhh! I love henna! I am a Muslim woman and I'M thinking of getting one when I GET MARRIED! :) but idon'tt know where I want to put it.... i was thinking on my hands and feet and my back..... I will love it because I know how it feel across my lovely skin! OOOhhh :) I hope you enjoy your henna.... and I wish you all the best! :) ALLAH IS GREAT!

What is the best place in NYC for me to get my first tattoo?
Q. For about two months I've been using various sites to find the best place/ tattoo artist to get my first tattoo.
AND I've been going NUTS! There are so many places and so many artist, that I'm truly having a hard time choosing. I need an Artist/place that;

1. Can do colored tattoos really well.
2. Familiar/capable of doing a tat that incorporates Mayan symbols and stone pyramids
3. Friendly staff
4. can ease my nerves, because this will be my first

The idea I have for my tat is a 1/2 sleeve starting from my shoulder. At the shoulder will be a shining fully colored sun, but actually a Mayan sun calendar in the place of the sun. In it's beautiful glare will be a mayan temple, surrounded by vines, trees, etc. with an innocent, creepy, yet beautiful exotic woman standing in front of the temple.

Do you guys have any idea where i should go? Please HELP!!

A. NY ink is a show on VH1 (i think its that channel ) of popular tattoo parlor in nyc, it has its own television show. they're really good and very professional. i would just google ny ink and its location and you can do some research on it. good luck :)

Tattoo Ideas, please?

Q. I'm seventeen and I have been really really interested in tattoos. I want one so, so bad, but I don't want to get a tattoo just to have one, I want one that has meaning behind it and a purpose for being there. But I'm having trouble thinking of what I want.. I kind of want a script , but then again, a design might be more interesting. I either want a script about surviving my childhood (I went through abuse, neglect, poverty and life has gotten much better now[: ) or a design or script (or mixture) describing my love for music that kept me going through the toughest times. I'm not sure on placement.

Any ideas on short scripts or designs ? And opinions on placement ? (It's my first tattoo , by the way)

Thanks, any and all help is appreciated. [:

A. First wait until 18 to get a professional one done. The tattoo you want is the Phoenix.

The phoenix is a bird rising from the flaming ashes. The bird represents you. The flaming ashes represent purification and transformation through fire and adversity. The phoenix is a symbol of rebirth and the resurrection, leaving the old world for the new world of the spirit, dying and rising again, reborn. It basically symbolizes the victory of life over severe adversity.

On women, they look perfect on a chest. You can add musical notes around the outside of the Phoenix for your love of music. Good luck. It should be a spectacular tattoo.

First tattoo placement ideas, and pain?
Q. My tattoo that I really want a called the "hand of fatima" which is part of the Muslim religion, and my name is also Fatima. I wanted to get it fairly big on my back but I don't want to start big for my first tattoo. Do back tattoo's really hurt?

I also want to get a tattoo of a picture of my mother on the inside of my upper arm. Does it hurt to get a tattoo here?

A. To be honest.. go big or go home!

Dont compromise the beauty of your tattoo because you're worried about the pain, if it turns out you really cant tolerate you can break it up into sittings! Bigger tattoos can hold alot more detail and can be made to look really soft and natural (if that make sense) and not a lick and stick.

As for the placement, back isnt so bad - the spine can be more sensitive. However women handle tattoos better than men, something about how our pain threshholds work I believe (so says my tattoo artist). And also the individual person, I love getting tattooed but I know my friend finds it uncomfortable (not painful)

The end result is worth it though and you soon forget any discomfort you went through.

Good place for hidden tattoo?? ?

Q. Hey guys so ive been thinking of getting a tattoo for years but i never though of anything and my family has always been against it. Well bottom line is im getting a paw print tattoo in memory of my dog (had him for 10 yrs) with his name on it OR with The mickey face outline thing (the disney one) because he had a mark on his leg that look exacly like the mickey one but im not planning on telling my parents or anyone but my cousin so i need some hidden locations?? I was thinking on the place where the bra goes under your armpit?? Or something like that?? Because it also need to be hidden when im wearing bathing suits and stuff? Please give me some ideas! This is very important to me

A. Listen closely to your tattoo artists. And take the time to choose your tattoo artists wisely. So here they are in apparent order of preference:

1. Lower Back Tattoos - This is probably the first choice as a location for a woman getting her first tattoo. Sexy, sensual, exposed at the beach but covered up at the office. May be shared with a lover but hidden from the rest of the world - especially parents and Grandma. Celebs like Angelina Jolie her her lower back tiger tattoo and Jessica Alba's bow are two examples of lower back tattoos.

2. Wrist Tattoos - popular with starlets. And can be hidden under a watch or bracelet if need be. Winston Churchill's mother had a snake encircling her wrist. Examples would be Lindsay Lohan for her wrist tattoo "breathe" and Eminem for wrist tattoos.

3. Foot Tattoos - A famous holiday vacation splurge. The problem is that tattoos on feet tend to need a lot of touching up because of their propensity to fade quickly. Carrie Otis and Charlize Theron are known for their foot tattoos.

4. Ankle Tattoos - Popularized by super models Christy Turlington and Stephanie Seymour. Can be very delicate or a bold tribal design. Check out an entire gallery of celebrity ankle tattoos

5. Armband Tattoos (true, not a specific body part) - Was once the staple in tattoo parlors around the world. Seemed like other guy in the frat house had one. Pamela Anderson triggered a wave of barbwire. The tribal armband has bought a lot of tattoo artists a new Harley.

6. Back Tattoos (also, back-piece tattoos) - The largest blank canvas on the human body. Most tattoo artists will advise you to go as large as you can comfortably mange, and then go larger. Tattoos can be an alluring enthusiasm. You may think you just want one - and which tattoo artist hasn't heard that a thousand times or more - but keep in mind when choosing your tattoo design and placement how you might incorporate it into an even larger and more elaborate piece. Check out Lena Headey, 50 Cent & LeBron James for back tattoos.

7. Arm Tattoos (which often specifies, upper arm, lower arm, forearm, shoulder and even sleeves) - see Back Tattoos. A single Koi, can in time, become an entire Japanese inspired sleeve. See Amy Winehouse, David Beckham and Anouk for examples of arm tattoos.

8. Chest Tattoos - Pectorals are a favorite spot to make a man's chest look larger. And before you ladies protest, please see number nine. Examples of chest tattoos are Lenny Kravitz and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

9. Breast Tattoos (we're standing firm on the differences between chests and breasts) - Requests for information about breast tattoos has been so popular over the years that I wrote an article entirely on that premise, called "Gilding the Lily: Why We Tattoo Breasts" Examples are Teri Polo, Christina Ricci's Blue-bird and rapper Eve.

10. Neck Tattoos - Once a taboo area for most tattoo artists and tattoo enthusiasts, the explosion in tattooing in recent years has pushed back the boundaries of what meets the community standards of acceptable body art and tattoos. Where once men and women would have full tattoo body suits, necks hands and feet were left untouched so that an individual could "cover-up" their tattoos with a suit or long dress and pass incognito in a crowd or at certain conservative social functions. Musicians and tattoo artists, individuals whose independent sources of income and public reputation as "outlaws, rogues and scoundrels", has allowed them in recent years to get tattoos that were once entirely associated with gang members or individuals who had spent time in prison. But if you want to get a job in a bank when your garage band folds, you might want to think twice. See Allen Iverson for neck tattoos. Robbie Williams has a neck tattoo as well.

Is a foot tattoo a girl thing only?
Q. I'm a male and would really like to get the quote "Even though I walk through the valley of shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me." on the top of my foot, however I've noticed that a lot of women get foot tattoos. Is it a feminine spot only?

A. Personally I don't think so, I think it just depends on the design. I've seen guys with tattoos on their feet and they're perfectly masculine dudes.
With the right font and placement I can imagine it looking pretty damn good and not in the slightest bit feminine.

where to find a cheap tattoo kit?

Q. My brother is doing an apprenticeship with this tattoo guy and i want to surprise him for Christmas with a tattoo kit but i am on a budget because of all the stuff i have to buy but i would like a reasonable one. Please let me know thanks.

A. if he is active in an apprenticeship do not buy him a kit. he will most likely receive equipment from the artist. the machines and equipment in these so called professional kits are cheap for a reason. there is only one "kit" i have ever run across that i would consider suggesting and that is from new york tattoo. they have a pretty descent kit for a bit under 500.00. again, the rest of them are cheap for a reason. the machines are not any good and built with cheap materials. good machines are built by artists that know what they are doing and the best materials are. they use there time, there passion for the art and there knowledge in order to create a good machine.

here is a link to a kit, if i had to, would recommend.
http://www.newyorktattoo.com/intermediate_tattoo_kit_1944_prd1.htm

but again, i strongly suggest you not getting him a kit. just give him the money you would have spent on a kit. when he gets to the point in his apprenticeship when he actually begins to do some work he will use the artists equipment. when he begins to do his own stuff he will by then have a preference when it comes to the equipment he likes. a tattoo artist and the equipment he prefers is worst than a woman and her shoes...LOL

Fiction Books that take place in New York City?
Q. I want a fiction book that takes place in New York City. I looked over the internet a little but didnt find too much of my interest. Here is what I found( I put the summary so you can see what type of book I am looking for):

Candace Bushnell-4 Blondes
Summary: Come to the playgrounds of Manhattans powerful and beautiful. Get an insiders look at the romantic intrigues, liaisons, and betrayals among the elite. This novel chronicles the lives of four beautiful womena model, a columnist, a socialite, and a writeras they face turning points in which each must choose between her passions.

J.M Mcdonell-Half Crazy
Summary:Miranda, a beautiful blond from Arkansas, moves into a New York "garden" (a big city euphemism for basement) apartment with an unfinished dirt floor. It's like a bad joke: she has come to make it big as a fashion model. As she moves in with her dog, Pete, she meets upstairs neighbor David, who's gay and writes bad romance novels. She and David fast become good friends. What's more, within days Miranda lands a big fashion job, and within months her face is on the covers of major magazines. But, jealousy and trouble soon follow.

Lauren Henderson-Strawberry Tattoo
Summary:Sam Jones, sculptress and reluctant sleuth, can't resist the opportunity to do Manhattan when she's invited to New York for a group show at a gallery featuring young British artists. New York, loud and brash as Sam herself, welcomes her with open arms and plenty of her favorite margaritas. She's even reunited with Kim, a best friend from childhood who's transformed herself into a quintessential New Yorker, complete with weekly spinning classes and an East Village studio apartment. Despite Sam's promise to stay out of trouble, however, trouble keeps finding her -- one of the gallery's employees is found strangled in Central Park's Strawberry Fields not long after Sam arrives, and the gallery itself has been trashed with graffiti. While Sam's new Manhattan friends pop Prozac and fret about the police investigation, the rest of the young Brits turn up in New York, including the one Sam drunkenly groped in a club not so long ago. Will the exhibition be a success? Will Sam's current boyfriend -- the dashing actor Hugo -- find out about her moment of abandon? And will the details of the strawberry tattoo give away the murderer's identity before Sam herself becomes a target?

It dosn't have to be about crime...I perfer not. want something that has to do with love, life or dreams such as the books above. Also something that dosn't takes Place in the olden days. Some book that takes place in the modern day.

Please tell me the books that you have found and a short summary of it. THANKS!

P.S.I love N.Y! lol.

A. The Clique

Although the characters in the book go to many different places, most of the action in the stories take place in Westchester County, New York. The girls go to school at Octavian Country Day School (OCD), a private all-girls school. Other incidents occur at the Briarwood Academy (OCD's boys school), the Westchester mall, and at various characters' houses.

Massie Block: Massie Block is the alpha (leading) member of her group of friends (known collectively as the "Pretty Committee"). This clique is at the head of the 'food chain' at their prestigious private school, Octavian County Day (OCD). Usually she is the most popular in her group. She is very spoiled and is usually very snobbish, but she has a vulnerable side that shows up when she is under pressure. Massie is known for her wardrobe (designer labels), her quick wit, and her desire to shine above everyone.

Alicia Rivera: Alicia Rivera is Massie's beta (second in command), but her personality doesn't quite shine like Massie's does. Alicia is also a bit kinder in nature than Massie, but tends to be a gossip. Alicia is also known for her wardrobe (heavily influenced by Ralph Lauren), and for her exotic beauty (her mother is an internationally-known Spanish model).

Dylan Marvil: Dylan Marvil is the Pretty Committee's source to the showbiz world, for her mother is famous talk show host for a television show called The Daily Grind. Dylan is bubbly and talkative. Her trademarks are her fiery red hair, her brightly colored style, and her obsession with her weight. (She has tried various fad diets, but does not stick to any of them for very long).

Kristen Gregory: Kristen Gregory is an all-star soccer player at school. However, she is by no means a tomboy. She is a fan of designer clothes, but she cannot afford them (her father, a former rich art dealer, lost his money prior to the series' inception). Kristen is highly intelligent (She is on a scholarship at OCD) and beautiful with her long blond hair. Her trademarks are playing word games, being athletic and avoiding being caught by her parents.

Claire Lyons: Claire Lyons moved from Orlando, Florida to Westchester, New York. Her dad was good friends with Massie's dad in college, so the Blocks allow them to move into the guesthouse. Claire's family is not rich and privileged like the other girls, so she has a hard time adjusting. She is known for her individualism, her non-designer style, and her Keds.

Quote for mom tattoo?

Q. I'm thinking about getting a tattoo for my mom, shes my best friend and we've been through a lot together. She's the strongest woman I know. Anyone know any short quotes about a mom I could get? Thanks for any help :)

A. put something that she says a lot that only you and her would truly understand. it's a personal tattoo so keep it that way instead of having a cheesy quote!

I need some ideas for my tattoo?
Q. I wanted to get a tattoo that signifies the beauty of love and how it sometimes doesn't always work out the way I hoped but at the same time I should always remember that I am a strong and independent woman.
I was thinking of getting this part of vernica shofftall's poem in a different language but I'm not sure because I don't want to seem bitter:
"Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers."
I was also thinking maybe like a symbol to put on my wrist but I don't know any that would go with the kind of message i'm looking for. So if anyone has any ideas to add on to that quote or any symbols or other quotes, it would be greatly appreciated.

A. I really like the quote, i dont think it sounds bitter at all. As for a symbol to represent independence and strength here are some options. Bamboo tattoos often represent strength and artists love to use them as a background. Orchids are also almost always a symbol of beauty and strength (and sexuality but eh). I kind of like the idea of having bamboo coming out of your quote, or around it. There are some ideas, but this site might help as well, it lists a lot of meanings of different tattoos.

Best place for a female tattoo?

Q. I am 18 and I want to get a small tattoo somewhere. I'm thinking something like a kanji symbol or maybe even a word in Engish, just something small. Where is a good, cute place to get something like this, that wouldn't be too painful?

Also, and ideas for the actual tattoo would be appreciated!
I AM PLANNING ON GETTING THE KANJI OR WORD TO SAY 'HOPE' OR AT LEAST SOMETHING RELATED TO IT, BECAUSE THAT IS MY MOM'S NAME. NOT A POINTLESS TATTOO. ALSO, I WANT IT TO BE SOMEWHERE I CAN HIDE EASILY, BUT SHOW WHEN I WANT TO!

A. I wasn't planning on answering this, just gathering ideas for how people think/feel about visible tattoos. But I had to answer after some of these ridiculous answers.

First of all, under your arm aka wrist is painful and its hard to hide! Hello, do you have a summer where you live? It will always be visible. Your ankle or top of foot are easy places to place a tattoo and hide if need be. There are definite times in summer you might want to wear socks/shoes and could easily hide it. Your stomach, while painful near any bones (ribs/hips) is hide-able as well. That is where I put mine. It rarely shows and is very personal this way.

The wrist is a bad place for several reasons, many of which are dated and, personally I believe, are unfair and stereotypical. However this is a big decision and I will tell you them anyway so you are completely informed. People "out there" look down on women with visible tattoos. How do I know? I was just told today, by my family, that "people with tattoos are living on the fringe, not main stream society." So please be aware of the many people who will see a visible tattoo and right away think they know what "type" of person you are, even before they talk to you.

I too would love to get a wrist tattoo, but for now, as I am about to enter into the health care profession, I think instead I will place it on top of my foot. Easy to hide or show if I wish!

I also urge you to NOT place it on your neck. Think of your wedding dress, other people's weddings that you may be in, possible places of employment who actually ban tattoos! I also believe a neck tattoo would be really painful.

And a word such as HOPE, being your Mom's name but also a inspirational word alone, I myself would prefer that in a place that I could read it as well. Also, if just the word Hope seems plain, try dressing it up in a fancy font, or having the artist make something up for you. They could even make it so it reads HOPE upside down as well as right side up. I think its an anagram? Maybe, not sure of the word.

Lastly, please do your research and pick a tattoo artist you know, or have thoroughly researched their work and experience. Don't just go for the cheapest price. You pay for what you get- quality can be more expensive, but not always the MOST expensive. Good luck!

I wanted a tattoo on my inner forearm, men what do you think?
Q. an ambigram on my inner top forearm of "regret" then when u look at it upside down it says "nothing" what do you think?!?!?! i think regret nothing is very meaningful and to have it done in ambigram would be awesome!!!! just that im a teacher....then i no imma have to wear long sleeves...but thats not tooo much of a problem. also how do u MEN think about women who have tattoos in there forearms?????
4 hours ago - 4 days left to answer. also, i dont mind buying some concealer to cover up the tattoo....the ambigram is in cursive sooo it looks really feminine to it as oppose to it lookn manly, because alot of ambigrams have large bulky ganster lookn fonts...would i be looked at as trashy???? and for work, if i dont wear a long sleeve, or concealer on it, i dont mind wearing one of those wrist bands.

A. Going strictly from my personal opinion. Beautiful women don't have tattoos. Sexy lusty women have tattoos to advertise their rebellion. Ugly women have tattoos to get your attention off them and on something else.

I view tattoos as a sign that the person lacks self-respect.

Question for women with upper arm tattoos / sleeves...?

Q. ... do you tend to pick tops based on whether it matches the tattoo(s) or not, or do you just wear whatever like you did before?

I've had tattoos on both upper arms for a little while but last week got quite a big one which, along with the other two on that upper arm, fills up the majority of it. Now I've had that done I suddenly find myself thinking "Oh that top looks rubbish now" and more restricted in what I wear! I never thought I would pay much attention because as far as I'm concerned it's just a part of my skin and you don't pick clothes to match your freckles or birthmarks do you! Maybe it's just because it's so new that I'm very aware of it, I don't know. They're all black and grey though so I don't have the colour issue, but for just styles and patterns clashing. Did any of you feel this when you first had large work done on your upper arms or were you normal about it from the start?

Oh and the usual disclaimer... this is not an opportunity to spread your negative opinions about tattoos, tattoos on arms, tattoos on women, whatever. Either answer the question or take your ignorance elsewhere!
Haha chest pieces would also come under this!! It's weird though, when I see a chest piece or arm tattoo or whatever on another woman I never think 'Hey that clashes with your top!', it always seems to work! I think I'm just too paranoid when it comes to my own image ha!

A. Hey Mama! I have two full sleeves, and both are very different, so I wouldn't be able to match my tops with my tattoos. My left arm has a lot of reds, oranges, blues, and yellows. My right arm is mostly green, yellow and brown, so it's too difficult to match!

Upper arm tattoo. what do you think?
Q. http://www.flickr.com/photos/animalshelterlover/2915692814/
i am curving the words around the dog...
Its people which destroyed th breed the the dogs themselves. when the dogs fall into the wrong hands those are they ones that get aggressive

A. I like the tattoo idea. I think it will translate well into ink. And I hate people that train dogs to be mean. Most pit bulls I know are as gentle as kittens. That is an awesome tribute to pit bulls. :)

And I love upper arm tattoos. On both men and women. My husband and I both have upper arm tattoos.

What is the dumbest tattoo you have ever seen?

Q. Either in person or online?

I saw a girl with a huge Hello Kitty tattoo on her chest at Hot Topic today. I thought that was pretty stupid :/ I wonder what she's gonna look like when she's 80 years old...

A. Oh i've seen so many funny, dumb and unnecessary tattoos!

i think the funniest one was when i saw an eldery woman (80-85) , with a tattoo that said 'forever young' with hearts around it, on her arm. it was pretty ironic.

and online i saw a lady who got a website name tattoo on her forehead. she got paid $10,000! and she did it so she could get her kids through school.. haha!

Q. well at the moment i have 2 tattoos but there always been this big taboo with tattood women im having the rest of 1 finished off next week along with stars coming from just behind my ear coming a little bit down my neck the meaning for me is my little sister as my lucky star

A. art work was started by ancient egyptians. their canvas was women's body's. this does include cleopatra. males started receiving bad work late 1800s. women with art are making a very positive impress on with employers. first impression this woman has confidence in her self. does not make rash decisions. has respect for herself as well as others. art work is meant for women. it is a issue with the vast majority of Society . simple solution. these macho morons should have four words tattooed on their forehead. LEARN TO RESPECT WOMEN. in my sixties. disrespect to women is at its all time low. the verbal abuse in public causes a old guy to go ballistic. what i fail to understand the words to a small woman. are not used against a antique aged guy. your art work will add beauty. i have art signifies respect women. family member plays national football league. san diegochargers identical piece. stay strong. old people have a word balderdash. it means anything you want it to. to those who disrespect women. guess what it means.

Q. I want a tattoo on my left wrist. I want it to say "Smile when the world frowns upon you". I'm looking to get it in late December for my 18th birthday. It would be great if the tattoo place was in orange county, but if not it's okay, I'll make the drive for an amazing tattoo!! It would also be great if the place also did piercings too. Just in case I chicken out. Please leave the place's link so I can check out their work :)

Guys question about Tattoos?
Q. Ok guys do you like tattoos on women? I'm not talking about being covered in them! . I have two, one on the side of my hand and one on my ankle. If you dont like them why? and if you do how many would you feel was appropriate (and where)? Ladies can answer to :) (about other girls and also about guys ;)

A. I really like tattoos. I am not attracted to women like Kat Von D but I don't think they look bad either, it's just that their look is not my thing. As long as the tattoos are well done I would really like to talk to a girl about her tattoos. If the tattoo is a butterfly or a chinese symbol may be not but an interesting design is something I would like to see on girls.

are lower back tatooo considered trashy if you have more than just that tattoo on your back?

Q. I was telling one of my friends about all my ideas I have for tattoos I want, and when I mentioned that one that I wanted would be on my lower back, he just told me that any lower back tattoo would be too trashy, no matter what it was of.

I know that the so-called "tramp stamp" is over done, but I would have more than just a lower back tattoo.

Also, what do you think of my tattoo ideas:

I want a portrait of my grandmother on my right shoulder, we were very close so this is a memorial tattoo

I want a Tree of Gondor on my upper back, not just because it looks nice, but because of what it represents. It represents hope and love and there is a lot of symbolism but I will spare you the "history" lesson. also, I am a huge LOTR fan, it something that reminds me of my family, as we are all huge LOTR fans, and it brings us together in a way.
Below that I want an ankh, flanked on each side by cherry blossoms.
The ankh because it represents life and it also reminds me of when I was a kid, and I first found my love of history when my teacher was getting us ready to visit an exhibit about Egyptology. The cherry blossoms for both their Chinese and Japanese meanings.
Below that i would like the inscription on the One Ring. This is for my love of LOTR.

And below that, in the typical "tramp stamp" spot, I want a steal your face, i really love grateful dead. i know there are pros and cons of getting a band symbol, but it would also be for my best mate, he is a huge dead head. but not just that, my mom was so strict and controlling that even into my adult life i was afraid to stand up to her, but he helped me find my voice, stand up for myself, and break out of my shell, even if our friendship ends badly, i am so much better off for having known him.

on my left wrist i want a tattoo of the words "Elen sila lumenn omentielvo" (A star shines upon the hour of our meeting) in the tengwar script. I like the formality of the saying and I also like to meet new people now that i am allowed to go out and be myself, it will be small enough to be covered by a watch or chunky bracelet
sorry for writing a book :)

A. A 'Tramp Stamp', which is a derogatory term for a certain type of tribal style lower back tattoo, is usually used by the geeks who aren't getting any, and a few hateful women who don't have the figure for them. All lower back tattoos do not fall into that category, but it's difficult to educate the masses, when the favorite American pastime is for people to spout derogatory things about others, the object being to make themselves look better, as if that makes any sense. The Grateful Dead logo would only be called a 'Tramp Stamp' by the ignorant and uninformed. I'm not real big on 'quote' tattoos, but hey, it's your ink. Whatever melts your butter. But, like I said, lower back tattoos are fine, a lot of very nice women pay large amounts of hard-earned money to get really good work done in that vicinity, as well as other places. The really 'trashy' tramps of the world are actively vulgar-mouthed as well as promiscious. It has little or nothing to do with ink that costs hundreds of dollars in the first place. Eye-poppin' skin art doesn't come cheap. Neither do the women who go to the expense of wearing it. (P.S. Since you mentioned the Grateful Dead, if you can find it, there's a live album called Live Dead, released in '69, that has a blues cut called 'Death Don't Have No Mercy' which you've just gotta hear... it'll take your head off, and burn up your wires. Take care.

Has anybody heard of BICO Australia? Its jewelry. Do you like it? Is it worth buying?
Q.

A. Bico Australia was started by two Australian surfers from the famous Bondi Beach in Sydney.

Bico jewelry is modern, urban style chains and pendants based on tribal, cultural, and tattoo symbols from around the world. The Bico jewelry artists in Australia take ancient symbols and make contemporary and urban street-wear designs from them. Bico is for both Men & Women.

Meanings: The very cool addition to Bico Australia necklaces is that all the pendants have meanings, so you get a piece of jewelry with a unique look that can stand for something that's important to you.

Just to give a few examples: Strength & Power, Luck in Love, Indestructible Spirit, Protection from Evil, The Hunter, Fearless, Good Luck, Guts & Glory, Stronger than Steel, High Risk High Reward, Peace, Faith without Limits . . . .

There's also familiar symbols such as crosses, asian tattoo Kanji characters, the Om, celtic knots, zodiac astrology symbols, Hamsa, ankh, dragon tattoo, faces, fish, and spiders.

If you'd like to see all the designs and the different meanings for each symbol, they are on our website at:

www.TribalHollywood.com

Because Bico Australia was started by surfers, there are also surf and skate style leather necklaces. The founders wanted jewelry that looked cool on a board (surf, skate, or snow) and would hold up to the outdoors (all the silver plated jewelry has an invisible protective coating to retain the finish & Bico is very high quality). Bico also has great bracelets with unique patterns and leather wrist cuffs.

I hope that helps. If you are ever in Hollywood, CA our store is located at the ArcLight Cinemas complex where the famous Cinerama Dome is on Sunset Blvd. We would be happy to show you the Bico Australia jewelry in person.

Need some tattoo suggestions?

Q. Ive been thinking about getting a tattoo, particularly an octopus (theres reason behind it, but i wont get into that), but i wasnt sure where to get it, how big to get it.. etc.

Im 19, female, and i usually dress pretty girly, i wear alot of skirts and tank tops.. i just wanted to get it in a spot that wont look trashy or overly masculine. I dont really want a cute looking octopus, i wanted a more gnarly one like this:

http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kxrn3okWym1qajqsyo1_500.jpg

any suggestions are helpful :)

A. I think the location of these women's large octopus pieces look really nice and feminine:

My favorite placement of these is the last one. I also think that if arranged properly, it would look pretty classy in this kind of location/arrangement:

Attention GUYS!!!!!?

Q. Can you answer this question for me?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmcfqsjSRwdDu_3zno7cbtvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080213124424AA8VuYX
I have answers from girls but none from guys I would like to know what you think as well.
Any females that would like to answer I would like your opinions too.

Oh and so no trolls report me here is another question
What do you think about women (or guys) who have a tattoo(s) in the pubic area?
I'm not saying I want one or have one (tattoo in the pubic area that is) it was just a subject that has come up when talking about tattoos with my friends. I don't really like the idea either & I wanted to see if anyone else thought the same way. Thank you everyone for being honest! :o)

A. What do you think about women (or guys) who have a tattoo(s) in the pubic area?

No, tattoos are a turn off for me. Well, not trying to be sexually explicit or anything, but why would a guy look at the tattoo in the pubic area when he has better things to admire nearby.

Girl friend wants tattoo.... Please help.?
Q. Hi I am a 25 year old guy living with my girl friend, She recently saw few pictures on the Internet of women with tattoos on their body and now she too is intent to go for tattoo on her body. Some of the tattoos were really artistic for me too. But what I am astonished to know is she saw Katie Price Jordan's tattoo of heart above her Pubic area and cute butterfly tattoo of a playboy model on her buttock. Now she too wants a similar tattoos on her pubic area and buttock. She already has naval piercing done last year and her body looks pretty much as similar to Katie Price. Should i encourage her to go with it. If she is happy with it I am happy too and I love her a lot. She even has found the place where the tattoo is done and has the designs of the right tattoos she wants at those places too.

A bit scared that the tattoos on those private areas might hurt her a bit. Just confused whether to let her have the tattoos. She loves tattoos from many years by the way.

A. all tattoos hurt no matter how many people say they dont. it depends on where you get them, how sensitive your skin is, and how tolerable you are with pain. i think on my hip hurt mre than my stomach and wrist. but if she has her belly button pierced, chances are she'll be ohkay. just hold her hand while she's getting it done (:

Best place for a tattoo on a woman?
Q. I'm planning on getting a tattoo soon - roughly circle shaped (a celtic design of some sort, incorporating a yin yan sign) and around 4 - 5 cm across. I was planning on getting it on the bottom of my back, but I'm not sure that design would look good there - and tattoos there seem to have a stigma of being 'trampy'. I like the idea of the top of my back inbetween my shoulders, but I'm pretty sure that's gonna hurt alot. I'm putting alot of thought into this as I don't want to regret it in the future - any help will be much appreciated :)

A. it's the person that makes the tattoo
the tattoo doesn't make the person

if you think the design is best on your lower back get it there.

you can have the artist put the outline on a few places of your body to see what fits best for you

i have tattoos on my foot, ankle, thigh, top of shoulder and back of my shoulder
