I was thinking of getting this part of vernica shofftall's poem in a different language but I'm not sure because I don't want to seem bitter:
"Plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers."
I was also thinking maybe like a symbol to put on my wrist but I don't know any that would go with the kind of message i'm looking for. So if anyone has any ideas to add on to that quote or any symbols or other quotes, it would be greatly appreciated.

A. I really like the quote, i dont think it sounds bitter at all. As for a symbol to represent independence and strength here are some options. Bamboo tattoos often represent strength and artists love to use them as a background. Orchids are also almost always a symbol of beauty and strength (and sexuality but eh). I kind of like the idea of having bamboo coming out of your quote, or around it. There are some ideas, but this site might help as well, it lists a lot of meanings of different tattoos.
