tattoo of his name..?

Q. how do i ask my hubby what is a place he like on a woman to get tattoos without giving it away that im getting one of his name or anything.. i know you say never get it but i will make it small if one day we decide nothing works i can cover it up but i always can leave it to because it could be my memorie of him get what i mean... and later on im getting one of our sons name

A. Personally I sort of like tattoos on the pubic mound in script. That way it is private and unless you are shaved no one knows it is there except him. Other than small or hidden, I am not a fan of female tattoos at all. Only problem is that the area is sensitive so it will not very comfortable getting it applied.

Do any of you have tattoos?
Q. What is it of?
Where is it?
How much did it hurt?

i want to get a tattoo on my inter hip not on the bone. on the inside like between the hips but closer to one side and going up around my hip but never on the hip bone. does any one have a tattoo like that?

A. Lol, it always surprises me how many losers there are hanging around this area for some bizarre reason when they hate tattoos! I can understand visiting an area of a board about something you were enthusiastic about and interested in, but to come on a board in which the entire topic is something you hate? Come on people, get a life!!!

Okay, firstly to quash some silly myths that have been given here -
Tattoos can not give you cancer! I would love to see that person's research on that! At worst you can pick up a blood bourne virus (such as HIV or Hepatitis) - but if you go to a professional tattooist and ask to see their licence and check they have an autoclave (sophisticated piece of sterilising equipment which is a 'must' for tattooists, anything less won't kill off the BBV's), then you will not contract a disease of any sort. The only people who get diseases from tattoos are idiots who go to unlicenced 'scratchers' or shitholes just because they can get some money knocked off. And as long as you follow your aftercare advice and keep the area clean, you won't pick up an infection, it's just like any other surface wound and scab. Your tattoo will NOT harm you if you go to a reputable place (it's worth the money), and take care of it in the following weeks. And to the silly little people saying 'don't do it, it can harm you' - please back up these 'facts' with your research in future, I'd love to see what you know that I don't :-)

As for those saying the tattoos will age and go wrinkly over time. Well we've all seen the fat old men in pubs with blurry faded sleeves haven't we, and yes they look crap. However, what most people don't realise is when you get a tattoo you should have it re-done every 10-15 years maximum (just like a boob job!). Otherwise, they will go horrible. If you keep on top of it and keep refreshing it over the years, it won't end up like that. So don't get a tattoo that you can't afford to have done again in a decade or so, unless you want it to look rubbish. As for it going wrinkly... well honestly honey, I would advise you against getting any abdominal tattoos. If you have children in the future your skin WILL stretch and I've seen some terrible resulting tattoos after a woman has had a baby. I've had a baby and looking what pregnancy did to my skin all the way down to my pubic bone, I am extremely glad I did not get a tattoo there to say the least! The back is a very good place to get tattoos as this is one of the areas of your body that stretches very little over the years (unless you gain heaps of weight!) and generally maintains its shape very well.

And to the idiots saying people get tattoos because they're 'cool' - done a survey, have you? Sure, there are the morons out there who do it for this reason. But most people with tattoos do it because tattooing is one of the oldest and most sacred forms of art, it is a wonderful way of expressing oneself, and they see their body as a natural canvas. You are welcome to dislike it, but who are you to criticise others for expressing their freedom?

ANYWAY. To answer your question:

I have three tattoos, booked in to get my fourth tomorrow, have another two designs in the pipeline, and then will be giving it a rest for a while before I get too addicted! :-)

The three I have - two large backpieces, one is a dedication to my son, one is a dedication to my mother who recently passed away. And one smaller one on the underside of my arm (at the top), of the zodiac symbols of my family entwined. The one I'm getting tomorrow is a large ring of writing again on my back, going from shoulder blade to shoulder blade in a perfect circle, encircling the tattoo I have for my son.

The two on my back were absolute agony, to the point where I wanted it to stop even if it meant having a half finished tattoo for the rest of my life! But the moment they were over I felt great and the pain made me appreciate it even more. I know the one tomorrow will be just the same, but that's not putting me off! The one on my arm hardly hurt at all, sometimes I couldn't even feel him doing it, other times it was just a mild stinging sensation.

Hope that's answered everything. I'll just say one more thing, I know you didn't mention wanting a tattoo here but I'll say anyway - please avoid getting hand/wrist/face/neck tattoos until you are in a career and know what the etiquette is. It's also best not to get forearm tattoos for the same reason until you know what you're doing in life, unless you want to wear long sleeves forever. Tattoos are great, but not when they're hindering your career.

Good luck :-)

Women with lower hip tattoos before and after pregnancy?
Q. My fiance and i are getting married this summer, and plan on having kids together sometime. I am a pretty small naturally, work to keep my body in shape by eating healthy foods (vegetarian) and excercising, but i know that once pregnancy hits, i might not be so lucky!

I already have two tatoos, both are in areas that will not stretch when pregnant. I am getting a tattoo next month, already have the design planned out, but just wanted to get some feedback from women who have had tattoos BEFORE pregnancy.
The tattoo is going to be on my hip, not where most females get them on the hip bone, but fairly low, where the leg meets the hip, next to the pubic region.
so my question is, how many women have gotten a tattoo in this location, and how far down did your stretch marks appear during pregnancy?

any helpful, mature, comments and advice from personal experiences would be appreciated!

thank you in advance!!

A. I have a small tattoo in a similar location to where you want yours and I am 35-almost 36 weeks pregnant. I have had no stretch marks in that area at all, just a few little ones around my belly button.
I think you will be fine, but when you do get pregnant I recommend Earth Mama Angel Baby stretch oil: http://www.earthmamaangelbaby.com/stretch_oil.html
It's a little pricey, but it lasts throughout the pregnancy.

Attention GUYS!!!!!?

Q. Can you answer this question for me?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmcfqsjSRwdDu_3zno7cbtvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080213124424AA8VuYX
I have answers from girls but none from guys I would like to know what you think as well.
Any females that would like to answer I would like your opinions too.

Oh and so no trolls report me here is another question
What do you think about women (or guys) who have a tattoo(s) in the pubic area?
I'm not saying I want one or have one (tattoo in the pubic area that is) it was just a subject that has come up when talking about tattoos with my friends. I don't really like the idea either & I wanted to see if anyone else thought the same way. Thank you everyone for being honest! :o)

A. What do you think about women (or guys) who have a tattoo(s) in the pubic area?

No, tattoos are a turn off for me. Well, not trying to be sexually explicit or anything, but why would a guy look at the tattoo in the pubic area when he has better things to admire nearby.

Girl friend wants tattoo.... Please help.?
Q. Hi I am a 25 year old guy living with my girl friend, She recently saw few pictures on the Internet of women with tattoos on their body and now she too is intent to go for tattoo on her body. Some of the tattoos were really artistic for me too. But what I am astonished to know is she saw Katie Price Jordan's tattoo of heart above her Pubic area and cute butterfly tattoo of a playboy model on her buttock. Now she too wants a similar tattoos on her pubic area and buttock. She already has naval piercing done last year and her body looks pretty much as similar to Katie Price. Should i encourage her to go with it. If she is happy with it I am happy too and I love her a lot. She even has found the place where the tattoo is done and has the designs of the right tattoos she wants at those places too.

A bit scared that the tattoos on those private areas might hurt her a bit. Just confused whether to let her have the tattoos. She loves tattoos from many years by the way.

A. all tattoos hurt no matter how many people say they dont. it depends on where you get them, how sensitive your skin is, and how tolerable you are with pain. i think on my hip hurt mre than my stomach and wrist. but if she has her belly button pierced, chances are she'll be ohkay. just hold her hand while she's getting it done (:

What do women think of guys with a tattoo on their pubic area?

Q. I'm thinking of getting one, so I'm interested in hearing what women think about it. Do women find it sexy on guys?

A. Well it really all depends on what the tattoo actually is. If the tattoo wasn't something stupid, then it probably wouldn't bother me too much.

Why do women expect men to shave every ounce of hair off their entire body?
Q. i mean seriously women want us guys to shave our mustache, beard, chest, legs, heck even our pubic area. the only hair women like on guys is the hair on their head. i mean come on ladies don't you think you're taking it to far?

A. there are still plenty of women that like hair on men. At least women over 30 or so.

If I had to shave everything by the time I got finished I'd have to start all over where I began. Got hair everywhere but my forehead, palms, and soles of my feet. Unfortunately, as has been mentioned, being that way is not as popular as it used to be. But Sean Connery still gets away with it. Always did. And I think he's never had much trouble getting laid. Me neither.

In fairness, I don't care if women shave anything either. Actually prefer that they don't.

This new hair is gross crap is rooted in capitalism. No money to be made off of people that are content to be the way they were made. Had to ride the bus home the other day, and jesus, it was an eye-opener. Mexican kids with foot high cockatoo do's, black girls with multicolored, braided, two hundred dollar medusa-like tangles of greasy strings, white suburban punks with those ridiculous three inch long cones sticking through their ears. Bull rings in their snoots. Pierced this, pierced that. Tattoos everwhere that look like they were done with knitting needles and prune juice. Now we're supposed to get rid of all the hair that's not on our heads.

Culturally manipulated twits. The lot. And any woman that expects a guy to shave everything deserves the sort of spineless pushover that would accomodate her.

Is this a good idea for a tattoo?

Q. I want to have a tattoo of daffy duck with lawn mower just above my pubic area so it looks like he's mowing my pubes.my cousin said its a stupid idea because tattoos are meant to express myself. It is going to express myself because I'm like a comedian. So is it a good idea or not?

A. I'm a woman and would personally find it to be a HUGE turn-off. Sounds like a stupid idea to me.

What did men shave with 2000 years ago?

Q. While I was shaving the other day. I began to wonder... If men shaved their faces thousands of years ago. What did they use?
And have archeologists found any examples??

A. Copper and bronze blades were the usual tools used but treatments such as hot wax and tweezers were not unknown.

Gonna resort to cut & paste not going to waste time proving that I know everything.
http://www.quikshave.com/timeline.htm
""PREHISTORIC TIMES, B.C. -
The history of shaving takes us back into the STONE AGE, around 100,000 B.C. when Neanderthal man first started pulling hair from, painting, and tattooing his body. He also enjoyed filing down his teeth for some reason, too. Ancient cave paintings inspected today will indicate that early man discovered other ways to remove hair from his face; in the beginning, he simply plucked them out using two seashells as tweezers. In fact, tweezers have remained throughout history as the most popular grooming tool ever invented, used by both "civilized" men and women to painfully remove body and facial hair. It's too bad they didnt have Quik Shave Razors back then.

The earliest shaving razors discovered were flint blades made possibly as far back as 30,000 B.C. Flint could provide an extremely sharp edge for shaving; these were, of course, the first disposable shavers because flint becomes dull rather quickly. Not only did early man cut and/or shave off body hair with flint; he also seemed to enjoy carving unusual artistic designs into his skin. If he added natural dyes and colors to these cuts, he ended up with a tattoo. Other stone shaving tools found were made during the Neolithic Period, or Late Stone Age.

4000 - 3000 B.C. -

Women are removing body hair by making their own depilatory creams that contain bizarre combinations of scary ingredients, such as arsenic, quicklime and starch.

3000 B.C. -

Permanent shaving razors are developed, thanks to the invention of metalworking. Copper razors are found available now in both India and Egypt.

1500 - 1200 B.C. -

Some of the most elaborate razors of ancient times are produced during this period in Scandinavia. Excavated from the Danish Mound Graves, razors were found inside their own leather carrying cases with mythological scenes etched or embossed into their bronze blades; the handles were carved into horse head-shapes.

500 B.C. -

In GREECE, it is popular for men to crop hair very short and shave the face. ALEXANDER THE GREAT is pretty much the guy responsible for this trend because he is obsessed with shaving. He even shaves during wartime, and will not allow himself to be seen going into battle with a five oclock shadow. Greeks back then considered it an aesthetic approach to personal hygiene, like the Middle Eastern cultures.

500 B.C. -

Around this time, ROMAN WOMEN remove hair with razors, pumice stones and make homemade depilatory creams made from medicinal drugs, such as bryonia. They also use tweezers to pluck their eyebrows. ROMAN MEN have a skilled live-in servant to shave them; otherwise they start their day with a trip to the tonsor, or barber, who will shave a face with an iron novacila, or Roman razor. This type of shaver corrodes quickly and becomes blunt; so most customers usually, or eventually, get cut. But dont worry- the tonsor can fix this by applying to the face a soothing plaster made from special perfumed ointment and spider webs soaked in oil and vinegar. Despite the dangers of going to the barbershop, Roman men continue to flock in daily because they are also great centers for gossip and news.

400 B.C. -

The typical man of INDIA is found sporting a neatly trimmed, well-groomed beard; yet he shaves off all hair on his chest and pubic area; the average woman is removing hair from her legs with razors and tweezers.

400 B.C. -

Meanwhile in GREECE, the average woman is removing hair from her legs by singeing it off with a lamp. Most Greek men are shaving their faces on a regular basis, following the example of the bold shaver ALEXANDER THE GREAT.

300 B.C. -

One day, PUBLICUS TICINIUS MAENAS, a wealthy Greek businessman, brings professional barbers from Sicily to Rome, which introduces a whole new craze for shaving. Barbers use thin-bladed iron razors, which are sharpened with water and a whetstone. They dont always use soap or oil, which is probably why it takes so long to shave a patron's face. The shaving trend endures until the days of EMPEROR HADRIAN (76-138 A.D.); who would revive the fad for beards. Hadrian actually grew a beard because he wanted to hide the lousy complexion he had on his face.

300 B.C. -

During this same time in ROME, young men about age twenty-one are required to have their first shave. They kick this off by celebrating their official entry into manhood with an elaborate party-like ritual. Other guy friends are invited to watch and give the novice shavee a bunch of nice gifts. Only soldiers and those training to become philosophers are excused from participating in this cultural ordeal.

292 B.C. -

The renowned SCIPIO AFRICANUS MAJOR (236-183 B.C.), conqueror of Hannibal in 202 B.C. also affirms the mode for being clean-shaven. He is admired and copied by men throughout Rome and by neighbors.

50 B.C. -

In ROME, many men are following the grooming example of JULIUS CAESAR (101-44 B.C.), who has his facial hairs individually plucked out with tweezers every day. He also writes this same year that "the Britons shave every part of their body except their head and upper lip."

54 - 68 A.D. -

In early Rome, POPPAEA, wife of the notorious EMPEROR NERO, uses depilatory creams to remove unwanted body hair on a daily basis. Depilatories are used as an alternative to the bloody mess that results from shaving with a blade. The latest available creams include some pretty wild ingredients, like resin, pitch, white vine or ivy gum extract, ass's fat, she-goat's gall, bat's blood, and powdered viper.

AROUND 100 A.D. -

In ROME, shaving the male face starts to become old hat, thanks to EMPEROR HADRIAN (76-138 A.D.), who is now reviving the desire for beards. Actually, Hadrian grows a beard to hide the lousy complexion he has on his face.

476 A.D. -

The ROMAN EMPIRE folds.

THE MIDDLE AGES: 476 - 1270 A.D. -

Because women in Europe wear very large and outrageous headdresses, the bizarre beauty secret of removing all hair from the eyebrows, eyelashes, temples, and necks becomes tress chic. This is masochistically accomplished by plucking and shaving every day, but a real lady who wants to represent herself in the ideal image of contemporary female beauty, knows this is a must. Sure, this makes a woman seem practically bald and somewhat extraterrestrial looking, but it is The Look to die for!

840 A.D. -

In southern Spain, a famous musician and singer from Baghdad known as BLACKBIRD opens the worlds first beauty institute. Here, students learn the secrets of hair removal, as well as how to apply cosmetics, manufacture deodorants, use toothpowder, and the basics of hairdressing.

1066 A.D. -

Shaving and haircuts help WILLIAM OF NORMANDY invade England to overcome HAROLD THE SAXON, King of Hastings. Before the attack, Harolds spies venture out to gather intelligence; they return with the report of a very large group of "priests" seen nearby, but no enemy soldiers. Those "priests" were actually Williams army, mistaken for Holy Men due to the clean-shaven appearance on their faces and exaggerated pageboy haircuts. They shaved off the hair on the back of their heads but kept a short back and sides look, which gave them all a monk-like appearance.""

Peace

What are some areas of the body that girls should not get tattoos??? ?
Q. Im curious to know some of your opinions.

A. Their private areas. (unless part of a full body suit) Most men find them something of a turn-off. I'm not speaking of their lower back. Nothing wrong with that. But the last thing a woman should do is get her breasts or pubic mound tattooed. Some women are of the mistaken impression that this would be a turn-on to guys. I'm here to tell you, unless it is amazing, out-of-the-ordinary beautifully done artwork, these areas should be left alone. I've seen some work done there worthy of recognition. But they are few and far between. Chestplates are a different story. (above the breasts, shoulder to shoulder) Those are fine. ON the breasts themselves, let's not. Take care.
