Post pregnancy pictures for women who had stomach tattoos?

Q. I have been looking all over for a website that shows pictures of women who have tattoos on their belly, abdomen, upper hip etc. I want to see how many women have had their tattoos deformed or they're fine. I have a really meaningful tattoo that I don't want messed up, but that's not gonna stop me from having a child. I'm just wondering.

A. everyone is different, some people can go through pregnancy without hurting their tattoos... others end up with stretch marks ruining the image.

You won't know how you'll turn out until it happens.

True that artists can manipulate skin during tattooing to reduce future stretching?
Q. I am 20 years old and really want to get a long tattoo on my right side. I know I should probably wait til after having kids, but I really want it and so am weighing my odds. I have heard that tattoo artists can manipulate the skin a certain way to prevent stretching. Is that true?
What other things prevent stretching?
Thank you!

A. not all women who have tatoos on the stomach or side get ruined during and after pregnancy. i have 3 tattoos on my stomach and none of them are ruined. i have 3 tiny stretch marks on each side of my belly button, but, my tattoos are fine. they still look like new. there is nothing the tattoo artists can do to manipulate the skin to prevent stretching. not all women get stretch marks. sometimes, women use vitamin e lotion/oil, cocoa butter, and still get stretch marks. i would strongly suggest waiting until after you have a child. i took that chance, and i came out lucky. its a 50/50 chance. only you can decide if you want to take that chance or not :) good luck on your choice :)

What Quote should i do for my tattoo?

Q. My grandma dies a couple years ago and she was like a mom to me. What quote or tattoo ideas could I incoprporate into my tattoo. She also love pink roses and her name is carol

A. Here are somethings you need to know.

This is PERMANENT! I know that there is laser tattoo removal out there, but it is expensive (last I checked it cost $1,000 a square inch), leaves 70% scar tissue (last I checked), and is 10 times more painful then getting the tattoo (again, last I checked into it). Because of it's permanency, there are some things you REALLY NEED to keep in mind.
You want to be sure that YOU are happy with where your tattoo is placed, don't ever let anyone tell you it needs to be somewhere else. In that same breath though, you need to keep in mind the ramifications as to your placement of your tattoo. For men, a tattoo on the forearm or below the sleeveline is socially acceptable, as men are usually the ones who, do all the heavy lifting, if you will. They are the rough and tough construction workers, the ones who go to war, the ones who do stupid shit and live to regret it later. Women however, are not put in that same category. Women are STEREOTYPICALLY the ones who do the lighter side of things, stay at home and raise the kids, when we work, we work in office type environments, grocery stores, nursing, yadda, yadda yadda.... These places tend to frown upon women with visible tattoos, tend to think these "type" of women are irresponsible, unprofessional, and not taken seriously. It sounds like a bitchy thing to say, but it is the truth, as ugly as it may be. So before you put it anywhere, think of your future, what are you going to do with your life, will this hinder my professional career, so on and so forth.

You also need to think about the possibility of your body changing, whether it be from having kids, drastic weight gain or loss, is your body even done growing. When you get a tattoo, you are making that art a PART of your body, it becomes your skin. Look at your skin now, at your friends skin. You see those stretch marks, those scars from falling or other mishaps? Now think about what your tattoo will look like with those things in them. When your skin inflates (from what ever reason other then just normal water retention) or it deflates, those pretty lines on your design that are now longer thin and pretty, they do what is called "blow out" and make a piece of art on you that looks like Michelangelo himself drew on you, now look like you gave a kinder-gardener a tattoo machine and told them to have fun! The scars on your body, 95% of the time, will not hold color properly, so don't even think you can get it "touched up", because all you are doing is standing on the bow of the Titanic with a water bucket screaming "I'll save us all" when in reality all you are doing is wasting your money and the artists time.

Also, you really need to do some homework on the artist you chose. Don't JUST look at the pictures in their book, try and find some of their work that is a few years old. Most tattoo artists tend to have pictures of their work just after they finish it, when it is all fresh and bright. You need to see how their stuff looks after it is all healed and time has had its chance to get ahold of their work. This is going to be something you will live with form now until AFTER you are dead and buried, make sure it is going to look good later and not just now.

I promise you that if you take your time with it all, your chance of regret is much lower. You hear people say all the time, I wish I had not gotten my tattoo, I should have waited to get a tattoo, I shoulda, woulda, couda, but I didn't. How many people do you hear say, I should have never waited to get a tattoo?

I know that I have given you a bit more then what you might have been looking for, but there is a very good reason for doing so. And please do not think I am some brainless wonder sitting at a computer talking out of their arse. I am actually MARRIED to a tattoo artist (and have been for 14 years now), I have 25% of my body covered in tattoo's and I am speaking from experience far greater then most.

What do you think about women with back tattoos?
Q. i'm thinking of a beautiful design to put on my back in like, a few years. i'm still young now, so it would be a while off. its in color, and its the most beautiful painting i've ever seen. then i would hide other things in the painting, like quotes and stuff. what do you think? too over the top? its just an idea i had.
yes, i would get this along with the anklet tattoo. i've given this less thought, and it would cost more, so i'll probably wait to get this one

A. I have one on my lower back and I'm not skanky so stop with the tattoo generalizations. And to answer your question, if you find something you like and stick with it for a few years, then it's not just a fad type of decision. It's obviously something you really want, so go for it. No regrets! :)

How will it affect the tattoo?

Q. I'm five foot ten inches tall and a size 16 in women's pants. I wish to get a tattoo covering about 85-90% of my back. If I were to lose weight, or have a child, how would that affect the tattoo? It will be a very detailed tattoo. Will it shrink if I lost some weight and will a pregnancy mess it up? Thanks for your time and help.
264357143 is love- I can still donate blood with a tattoo, I'll just have to wait six months to a year in between. Plus in Revalations it states that Jesus comes back with "King of Kings, Lord of Lords" on his thigh.

A. The only way it will shrink is if you shrink. You're a 16, not a big girl hun. When I think of tattoos becoming distorted by losing weight or gaining weight, I think of losing or gaining hundreds of pounds. Tattoos won't shrink, but, they can look funny in skin folds of large people who lose large amounts of weight. Don't worry about it, a size 16 isn't large. Having a child, that may affect your tattoo more than losing weight. When you have a baby you develop stretch marks, which can appear in the design of the tattoo, and cause the skin to look thinner, which makes the tattoo look like it has faded or lost color. Your back though, I wouldn't worry so much about the weight gain in the back as I would about the belly area. You'll be fine, go ahead and get the tattoo, and enjoy every second of it!!! That's a large commitment, and it will change your life! I say for the better, so for for it!!!

Looking for a quote or tattoo to go with scars?
Q. I am a 19 year old female, I have one tattoo, but I want to get another one. When I was a freshman in high school I got into a car accident and had to have spinal surgery twice. I now have 3 one inch scars on both sides of my spine totaling six in the middle of my back. They are not directly across from each other. I want to get a tattoo to either cover them up or get a quote about them. Also I don't want them to go down the bottom of my back because I do not care for those tattoos. Please give me your advice or suggestions. Thank you!

A. Since they are asymmetrical, their is no one design to cover it, that is why you will need a whole back tattoo to cover them. Sorry, it's the only way. On the plus side, I have never since a women with a whole back tattoo that didn't look awesome.

How can I combine this into a really cute tattoo?

Q. I want to get roses and hawthorn flowers in honor of my relationship with my sister. My sister was born with spina bifida and she has taught me to just have faith in things and everything will work out. We are super close I'm just not sure how to make this into a really beautiful tattoo.

A. Hey!!! I got roses withs vines and thorns around a latin word on my ribs and i can tell you its a really nice place to have that tattoo. Flower+vine tattoos are really good looking on women (and well im a guy and i manage to make it look bad @$$ also) so you might want to consider that region. For the actual design i would say go talk to a tattoo artist, get a consultation. They have great ideas and they know what looks good with your body type, complexion, etc. Oh and dont forget: dont limit yourself with budget or because people tell you it hurts (not that bad actually), because good tattoos arent cheap and cheap tattoos arent good!:)

Hope that helps!:)

Cheers!

Tattoo ideas for the poem Annabel lee by Edgar Allen Poe?
Q. He is my favorite poet and Annabel Lee is my favorite poem. I want a tattoo to represent this. Any ideas would be very helpful. Also for placement it needs to be in an area I can cover easily because of work. I also have one tattoo already on my right hip that runs up to my bottom rib.

A. Something like the first link. I believe that the sea is a crucial part of this poem. It's one of my favorite Poe poems and he's also one of my favorite poets. The sea also features in 'The City and The Sea' and 'A Dream Within A Dream'. It plays a metaphorical and symbolic role in these three poems.

It means that all things will at last be swallowed up by the eternal and immortal. All rivers flow unto the sea.

I think that the first link is a nice setting with a girl on the beach and a moon. This is nice because it kind of says something beautiful and gothic like 'all our life is a shadowplay'.

Having the setting or picture placed in a frame could be really cool. Like a locket, the type of love locket that they had back in the 1800's. Men and women would keep a picture in the locket, the frame is more important in this case. Maybe an oval type shape?

The other thought was an anime type cartoon. Have you heard of 'Lenore: The Cute Dead Little Girl' or 'Ruby Gloom'? I thought perhaps a more defined anime however - Annabel Lee doesn't seem cute or little, she's a very mature sort of immortal love.

Good luck. In the end I don't want to say too much. I understand how special this poem is. The three ideas were a: the sea or beach, b: anime / cartoon caricature. And c: a locket.

Good luck.

Know of any wicked female tattoo artists in Seattle?

Q. Well, I'm going for a visit to Seattle, and nothing is more fun than getting a tattoo'd in a new city! I would really like this tattoo done by a woman, it would be a first for me. I'm thinking of some kind of asian/buddhist pattern... anyway, any thoughts?
Thanks!

Hope this helps. Make sure you check out portfolios, they give a good indication if an artist can do the right style for what youre looking for.

And to the above, if they disinfect the needes first i hope you run very very very far away. Needles should be brand new fresh out of a STERILE packet. (that by the way in some states the artist has to open infront of the customer or its illegal)

Could you critique my first chapter?
Q. "It was a team, a man and a woman, his girlfriend. They drove a dark colored luxury sedan...I'm thinking maybe a midnight blue Mercedes-Benz C-Class. " Patricia Schultz moved deftly through the neighborhood with the Pakistani couple who had contacted her close on her heels. Their foster daughter had disappeared without a trace and the police had no leads. Desperate for even an inkling, they had called her to perform a psychic reading. "Sound familiar?"

"No!" The wife insisted.

"Alright then. Someone saw them. I get that feeling very strongly. The man was very tall. At least six foot five, but probably a few inches taller. He has dark hair but shaves his head. I get the feeling that he is nearer to thirty than twenty, but not thirty.Maybe twenty-eightish? Pale olive skin with many tattoos. " Patricia let it go at that. "Let's move on." She closed her eyes and tried to envision the little girl. " I see dark hair.Thick. Wavy. Very long. Past her waist. Blue eyes? Tall for her age but slim. Maybe 10 years old?" Per her request she had not yet seen a picture of the missing child."I see a pearly colored sedan here in your drive way. Nothing threatening, a carpool I think. It came five days a week,so it must be a carpool. It's dropping her off. She's going in the house and she's being watched by the couple in the Benz. They've been watching her for well over a week."

"Who?!" The husband was clearly frustrated with her vagueness.

"Don't know yet." Patricia admitted. "Let's go inside, shall we?" When she was shown inside the couple's modest three bedroom ranch home. "By and by, who are her parents? Her birth parents?"

"Why?" The husband asked suspiciously.

"Her mother was an old friend of mine." The wife confessed.

"Was? Is she dead?" Patricia persisted.

"Not exactly...we don't really know where she is. "

"I see." Patricia allowed herself to become the missing girl again."She left her bag by the door along with her shoes and went to the Den." Her senses led her to the sofa. "She was here last. Asleep and that is how she left this house." She concluded. "The man and woman entered the house with a key a short time later. Again this was planned. The man made a beeline for the Den, while the woman went to her bedroom. They had been here before while you were away to scope out the place. The man, he relished hoisting the child off the sofa. He felt...fulfilled. He held her close and had to stop himself from running out the door with her but stuck to the preset plan...he whispered something in her ear." Patricia paused then decided to keep what she heard the man say to the child to herself. "The woman brought back a blanket from her bedroom and draped it over the child. Together they departed the house, appearing as nothing more than a couple with their sleeping child."

"Then what!?"The foster father demanded.

"They walked for about half a mile northeast of here to where they had parked the car, placed the sleeping child in the trunk and drove away." Patricia said coolly. What she had heard the man whisper to the child had greatly changed her demeanor toward the foster parents.

"In the trunk?!"

"Yes. Not for very long though. When they were perhaps 200 miles away, they placed her in the backseat and continued on."

"Where did they go!?" The foster mother was in near hysterics.

"First to the north, maybe to Seattle. Then on a plane and many and many miles away... I'm sorry, but the child isn't coming back. She's got a new life far, far away from here." Patricia concluded solemnly. She mentally broke her connection with the "missing" child and turned to face the foster parents. "She isn't coming back." She repeated again. "I'm sorry."

A. I think it ends okay. I think the first bit's a little long. It needs to be short, snappy, sweet. You really need to grab the readers attention and let them have no control over when to stop reading that story. I didn't really understand what the first paragraph was about until i read it again. If it was a real book, i would have put it down to be honest.
Try explaining the story first. You could start with the little girl.
lets say her names melinda.

Melinda tiptoed into her house that night. She had an eerie feeling that someone was watching her.
"That can't be right" She whispered. "I'm safe."
Her voice broke the silence. In her mind the danger was stretching, expanding and tugging at every piece of that moment. She sat on her couch, forced herself to relax. Why would anything get her? She was obviously being paranoid. But Oh, how wrong she was. She didn't know she'd be lost. Miles and miles away from her only relatives. It was up to her now.

Atleast now you can gather information about the story. Suddenly starting with commentary like: "it was a team, a man and a woman, his girlfriend" isn't proper english. You wouldn't write that but you would say it. That's what's confusing. Let the reader understand what's happening first unless its an action scene. I also think your first paragraph has too many long sentences and words. I think writing is sort of like a jigsaw puzzle. A mashup of simple sentences and complexities. It needs to fit together. Hope I helped.
Try answering my question :D

does getting a tattoo on the back of the neck hurt?

Q. i want to get a fairly small tattoo on the back of my neck and i was wondering if it hurts or not. this will be my first tattoo. has anyone had a tattoo on the back of their neck and if so, did it hurt?

A. with today's artists , great equipment there no longer is pain in artwork. just the fear of the unknown. sound of gun similar to dentist drill . women have higher pain tolerance. no trouble at all.

Im thinking about gettin a tattoo on top of my foot, do they hurt the worst?
Q. I heard the neck hurt. I would assume all tattoo hurts I have a couple already. I just want to know. I think Im still going to get it done.
I think I want some pretty shoelaces or a

nice shoe saying walk a mile in my shoe

A. for a women there is no pain. the so called pain is from the gun associated with major dental work. you will be nervous. no pain artwork complete. very good original piece of work. very very good choice. women should become artists, their minds create very original artwork. a great great piece of work. if you receive stupid answers , ignore it is just macho maggots showing disrespect to women. you have a life. the maggot ts don't.

Do you think its a good idea for a 16 year old to get a tattoo?

Q. If they are mature, and know they are going to get, then would you let your 16 year old daughter get a tattoo
if no, why?

A. No I would not. I recommend to men that they stay away from a woman with any tattoo, anywhere. I could say the same thing to women about men with tattoos. Tattoos mean trouble. Tattoos are a huge "red flag" that means one or more of the following:
"I am a misfit"
"I will cause you big problems",
"Get to know me and you will regret it"
"I am immature",
"I am needy",
“I am foolish”,
“I am shallow”
“I make bad decisions”,
“I have no sense of right and wrong,”
“I follow fads”,
“I am unemployable”,
"I have been to prison",
"I belong to a criminal gang",
"I am promiscuous",
"I work in the sex-services industry",
"I can not sustain a long term relationship".
“I will fail in my life”
A tattoo is little better than a cartoon—you can’t get a good quality drawing on the human skin. It will deface your body like ugly graffiti defaces a public building. I strongly suggest that you do not get a tattoo. There is a big cost to getting a tattoo, and it is far more than wasted money. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. Most regret it within 5 years. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. The regret starts after you start to notice how people react to you. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. Your chances of getting a good job will be greatly diminished—most companies will not hire you since your tattoo will be seen as offensive to other workers. The majority of western people get tattooed when young and their decision making process is not yet matured. Youth tends to be impulsive. Young people are still developing and they need to be very careful in making important, permanent decisions. The reasons young people get tattooed are not mature (i.e. they want people to notice them, they want to pretentiously “honor” someone in a way that will attract notice, they want to pretentiously present some “deep” quotation on their skin in the hope that people will think they too are “deep”, they are rebelling against their parents or society, they are conforming to what they think are social norms, they are unable to see ahead and view the negative results of their actions, etc.) If you want to see the true level of cultural development for tattoos and other body modifications, look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwOXCmjTsvs . In a large sense, nothing illustrates the degeneration of western culture more than the entertainment industry encouraging impulsive youth to permanently disfigure themselves in order to “express themselves”. But such is the power of suggestion that more and more young people are buying into this Hollywood lie that tattoos are a cutting edge way to “express” yourself. But that is so not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh. Good luck to you in your life. But do not get tattooed. Tattoos are permanent. You can not take them back. There are so many questions on this board about how to remove unwanted tattoos. Pay attention to them. They are there for a reason: People do not want to keep their tattoos. One day you will wish you had never gotten your tattoo(s) and will start to ask how you can get rid of them. Be smart and do not put yourself in this position.

“Research shows that women face more social stigma than men regarding tattoos. Women with tattoos are more likely to have them removed because of embarrassment, body image, or career concerns.
Researchers from Texas Tech University found that women with tattoos are more than twice as likely to have them removed (as compared to men with tattoos). Most women are happy with tattoos when they get them, but their feelings changed within the next one to five years.
In this study, women found that tattoos began to cause embarrassment, and stopped being a source of uniqueness. Women with tattoos often have to hide them, which limits clothing options and increases feelings of self-consciousness.”

Does anyone know of any websites or links to Lebanese makeup and application tips?
Q. I LOVE the way Lebanese women look with their makeup on. I would like to know how they get their eyebrows to look so perfect (without the tattoo, which I might get later, but can't afford right now) and also which makeup brands they use and some application tips. Also, how do you (they) get the hair so shiny???? I tried YouTube, but only got videos of women already made up...No real tutorials or brands....

A. Use eyebrow stencils to get that tattooed look.
They also use tape to get the dramatic eyeline so sharp.

Guys and lesbians are you attracted to women with tattoos?
Q. Do people find women with tattoos attractive? Or are tatoos really only suited to men?

A. I'm a lesbian and it doesn't seem like I would like it, but I actually find it pretty attractive on women (if they don't overdo it at least). It makes them look really sexy in my opinion. ;)

Can eyebrow tattoo be harmful to the skin of our face?

Q. Will it cause early wrinkles or skin sagging? How can we avoid infections ?Is it alright for a first-quarter pregnant woman to have an eyebrow tattoo?I hope to get a good answer soon.....

A. Well your in luck, because last summer I ran into a woman selling lancome cosmetics, had her eyebrows tattooed.

They will give you a local anesthetic (i saw it on tv too) to numb you. It is ok for u to get it while pregnant, its just skin.

If you keep the area clean, it won't get infected.. there is little risk for that area to become infected anyways.

Also, no it won't cause wrinkles and sagging. And it looks very natural too.

How long does it take to fully grow eyebrows back in ?
Q. I am getting so sick and tired of the shave-and-draw look, and I decided to finally grow them in. They look decent when they are on, but I am sick of having to constantly fill them in if I accidentally rub some of it off.

I had them tattooed on 5-6 yrs ago, but they were just really extremely thin. They are fading rapidly thanks to the light/medium brown cosmetic pigmentation that was used in addition to the daily tanning salon visits. I just began to pluck them to get a base shape down then I will be getting them waxed.

I am worried they will grow in looking horrible due to shaving them off for so long, and I want to know if they will take a long time to fully grow back in ?

A. Hi Alicyn! Don't worry, I know many women who have been pluck for many years and once they just leave them alone, they grow back. Because you have been shaving, the hairs will most likely grow in normally unlike people who pluck their whole eyebrow off and damage the hair follicle, causing then to grow in wacky. I have been growing my thin brows in (they were very thin!) for 2 months now and they already look much better. To grow your whole eyebrow back, it will require a lot of patience. It could take anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Don't pluck or wax until your whole eyebrow has grown back in. Then you will be able to shape them as you please. I hear Latisse for eyelashes also works on brows to make them grow in quicker and fuller. Good luck!

Can having a tattoo on your breast affect milk production?

Q. I have a tattoo on one breast and its always been slightly smaller than the other one, but now Im 39 weeks and the breast with no tattoo has grown more than the one with the tattoo and seems to leak more often (the tattoo boob leaks sometimes but not very often) my breasts are not totally unporportionate, you can only tell that one is bigger if you stare at them lol but Im just concerned about not producing milk with the tattooed one.

A. I wouldn't worry. The amount that you leak during pregnancy doesn't indicate your future supply. With my 1st child, I leaked constantly from 5 months pregnant on. With my 2nd child, I only leaked on one occassion during the whole pregnancy. Yet with both children, I've had plenty of milk. MORE than enough, actually!

Congrats on the baby on the way! Make sure that you get good support if you have any problems. The first few weeks of breastfeeding might be difficult, but its worth it =) With the proper support, you and your baby can have a comfortable and successful breastfeeding relationship. Not sure if you know this, but I'll share just in case you dont! Make sure the hospital doesnt give your baby any bottles, or it can sabotage your milk supply. It is very important that your body gets the signal to produce milk by having your baby on the breast every time he/she is hungry! Also, bottles too early can cause nipple confusion, so its best to avoid them altogether for at least the first few weeks to get a good latch and supply established. Another thing, if you ever try pumping, remember that it is NOT an accurate indicator of how much milk you actually produce. Many women's bodies do not respond well to pumps, and can only pump a little, or not at all. Your baby is the most effective milk extractor.

If you ever need any help, contact La Leche League. You can visit their website, or get help in person. http://www.llli.org/resources.html?m=0

www.kellymom.com is also an excellent breastfeeding resource.

Email or IM me if you have any questions =)

Good luck and congrats!

What is a free dating website for chunky tattooed pierced girls?
Q. It's hard to meet men in this small town. Especially when you're plus sized and over half the population looks at you like you're some kind of freak. Is there any free dating websites out there that target plus sized alternative women like myself?

A. Try Dating Cafe, it was and will remain free. Has everything and maybe much more to offer then paid sites.
I've never understood why people pay for on-line dating, anyway. Most of the time they never find somebody because the owners of the dating sites (probably ALL PAID DATING SITES) are USING FAKE PROFILES.
That's the only way to make suckers register and pay - they give the impression of really animated community, but they have only 2-3 real users sending emails/messages to the bots like idiots. It's such a shame how this low quality people are trying to take advantage of people's feelings and take their money just for trying to find their soul-mate.
Anyway, check Dating Cafe, if free, multi-language, and they don't use fake profiles; they even have a video chat.
Good luck!

Do people find women with lots of tattoos to be unfeminine?

Q. I don't have any, and I'm not talking about the woman who has one or two, I mean like a sleeve or just multitudes of them all over. Tattoos in general are not the exotic body art that they were years ago -- many many people from all stages and phases of life have them. They are socially acceptable for the most part (i.e. you will no longer be denied a job - for the most part- based on the fact you have ink).

Even given all this, though, are they still considered more of a male thing?
Awww jeez KIA don't be a butterfly hunter...now I have to re-evaluate my feelings for you....lol...
Personally, I think either no ink or just one or two on a guy is hot. I don't want to be with someone with facial tattoos or a full back of them, but some of them can be really amazing looking. If it's done right, even sleeves don't have to be overwhelming.
Ultimately tho, it wouldn't be a deal breaker

A. I like artistic, feminine tattoos on other women, even when they have a sleeve or when they have their whole chest/shoulder area tattooed, if the tattoos are very well done. I like bright colors, feathers, birds, flowers, cherry blossoms, that kind of thing. I think tattoos can look cute on young women, but they don't look so great when women age, and the tattoo gets dull, fades, and most of all, just looks worn out and trashy. I don't understand women who get tattoos around their stomach area... if they get pregnant the tattoo is going to stretch and become distorted, they could get stretch marks on the tattoo, etc. People don't really think about the long term when they get tattoos. Tattoos are permanent, but they have a short shelf life in that sense. I like the way tattoos look (artistic, well done ones) but I don't like the idea of them being permanent.

I don't think faded, dull, worn out tattoos look good on older men either, but a man can age decently while having a full sleeve or a dozen tattoos on his body, some men can pull it off. I don't think the same is true for women, people expect women's bodies to be smooth and feminine, the tattoos become coarse looking after a while.

I was just looking at a tattoo blog earlier today, in fact! Here are some tattoos I like:

What does everyone think of tattoos on the side of the arm?

Q. I have been wanting a tattoo similar to Sahar from the Real World New Orelans and Elina from ANTM cycle 11. I think it looks delicate and feminine, but I don't know if it will always look good. What do you think?

A. I think their tattoos are really good and they will always look good. But I would like to recommend you some other tattoo designs because tattoo designs must be unique, you don't need to copy their tattoo. If you are looking for some feminine & delicate tattoo designs then in my view butterfly and fairy look good on arms. Let's see on this girl having a wonderful tattoos of butterfly on her arm. we think Both women and butterflies have wonderful, curvy forms. They both have delicate, soft texture and are very pleasing to the eye. Tattoo of butterflies can be any size is also important.

POLL Guys: Do you like your woman with tattoos or without?

Q. I am a female with three tattoos and i'm tattooing my rib cage in a few days. I'm nervous because i'm a small girl!

A. Oh god yes

Do upper rib tattoos stretch if you get a breast augmentation or pregnant?
Q. So I have finally decided on getting a tattoo on my upper rib cage, a few inches below my armpit, however I am thinking about getting a breast augmentation next year and was wondering if it would cause the tattoo to stretch at all? I feel that there normally during breast augmentations the skin usually stretchs from other areas but I was just curious if there was any pulling from the side. Another concern is when a woman gets pregnant if it would cause the tattoo to stretch at all?

A. yes, my friend who got her breasts augmented had alot of stretch marks, meaning obviously they've stretched alot.. but it depends on how much cup sizes you'll be going up. And yes it will get very much stretched during pregnancy

Both augmention and pregnancy will make them stretch

Where to get a tattoo on a female body?

Q. Where is the best place on a body for a woman to put a tattoo without the least amount of worry of it wrinkling with age decades down the road? I heard stomach is the worst but I see some women who have had kids and their stomach tats never changed form.

A. The shoulders / back don't get too wrinkly / saggy. Stay away from the stomach, ribs, hips if you're planning on getting pregnant.

If you saw someone like this with a tattoo what would you think?
Q. Just curious. 200lb female. A little tall but has a good sized belly and some fat on her ribs/thighs/butt blah blah. She has a tattoo under her ribs. Not trashy just a small cute little thing. Would you think its gross for a bigger person to have a tattoo there? Or is the main problem the fact that she would wear a bikini to somewhere like a beach when she is that big?

A. I don't see anything wrong with an overweight woman getting a tattoo on her ribs. I have a tattoo on my ribs and I am overweight.

However, at the same time...I'm around that weight and I would never wear a bikini on the beach. My personal pool? Heck yeah. But at the beach I rather keep my stomach covered as it definitely isn't my strong spot.

And some of you people are jerks. There's no need to hate on people that are overweight. Good for you that you don't struggle with weight problems in life, some of us do. Stop being an douche for the sake of being a douche.

what do people think about white girls with a chinese goddess tattoo?

Q. I am getting a Chinese goddess on my back, the goddess is based on the book beautiful women, and the imagery is stunning as will my tattoo be, what do most people think about white people (females) getting chinese or Japanese inspired goddess/geisha tattoos? you never see a chinese girl with a Celtic arm band. do you all thin it is sexy, dishonorable, art lover
thanks
no I am not trying to be a harajuku girl or anything like that lol I just happen to love the art in this book and the goddess has great meaning to me

A. I can't answer for what Chinese people would think - but if easterners were getting tattoos inspired by my culture I think I would find it flattering if anything, if it was a good piece of work! I wouldn't think anything less of you for having it, particularly if you have an appreciation for the culture and the art. It's much better than all the teenagers getting (usually incorrect) Kanji symbols just for the hell of it when they have no understanding or particular affinity to the culture their tattoo comes from. I know those kind of tattoos are often the butt of many oriental's jokes, moreso because they almost always have the wrong meaning! At the end of the day, most tattoo styles have their roots in one culture or another, even if we don't realise it. Pin up girl tattoos are traditionally American but I know a lot of British people with them, for example! I go on a tattoo forum and recently there was a guy on there ranting on about how it was so disrespectful and pathetic how non-maori's often had maori tattoos (he was from new zealand) and that how his tattoo was better because it had no meaning it was just a 'popular pattern', until I pointed out that his tattoo was celtic and had it's roots in scotland, wales and ireland, at which point he shut up! Anyway, as long as you're happy with the design and the meaning it holds for you then the opinions of others are totally irrelevant!

What do you look for as a design on a t-shirt?
Q. What subjects are you fond of? Do you have a favorite book (Twilight, Pride and Prejudice) or a favorite movie that you would sport quotes from on your shirt? What colors and styles of designs do you like?

A. As someone in the graphic design field, I tend to buy graphic t-shirts that either have something remarkable about them (some of Ecko Unltd's tees do it for me), something that expresses a mood or feeling I can relate to, or something I am fond of (such as Japanese mythology and animals like the koi fish and lion).

I am not really fond of the grungy Medieval designs which seem to be really popular such as Affliction. However, I bought two of their t-shirts last year, because I liked the line they had by Japanese tattoo artist Horiyoshi III and their bamboo line caught my eyes. The softness of 70% bamboo and 30% cotton aside, they have a tee that illustrates a woman with wings with her hands together in prayer looking up and supposedly crying. The words "affliction" on that tee meant more to me than they would one one of their shirts with a grim reaper or two skulls.

Right now I am wearing a simple white t-shirt with a diamond shape -- similar to that of a construction sign -- and the words "OUT THERE" with an arrow pointing up to the neck hole inside of the shape.

Since I am light skinned, I tend to buy fabric colors in white, black, heather gray, or shades of blue. As far as the ink colors used in the design, I am open to pretty much anything. I have a white Ecko shirt with the rhino running through what appears to be a city-like jungle. There are grays in the rhino and browns in the monkey hanging from a lamp post, but there are also saturated colors in the vines and leaves and also in the parrots shown in the illustration. I also have a black shirt I picked up in Louisiana when I stopped at Rue21. It is a simple black tee that has argyle stars with paint splatter. The two colors used are two I would never think of wearing before: rose pink and bright green.

I find myself carefully picking graphic shirts these days, because a lot of people seem to be big on wearing a company name, number, or band on their tee. Who can blame them though since that are most of the designs I see in stores. I have nothing against that though, because the people who wear those shirts know how to make it look nice more times than not.

How bad does a rib cage tattoo hurt?

Q. I'm a chubby girl and I'm planning to get this tattoo on my right rib cage

http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kzafpbJWl41qa3igco1_400.jpg

how bad will it hurt?

A. Tattoos hurt no matter what. Anyone who says they don't is boldface lying. How badly a tattoo hurts varies on person to person. For me for instance, I sat like a champ for my ribs and foot, but cried like a little b**** on my back. When going to get your tattoo, or thinking about one, pain factor should be the LEAST of your concerns. If you want it bad enough, believe me, you'll sit for it. The picture you provided looks like its just ALOT OF BLACK. Which, because of the nature of having to "pack" the color in there, can be legitimately more painful, then lets say, if you were getting a black and grey shaded piece in the same area. Don't worry about how bad it will hurt, if you want it, you'll sit for it.

Here's what you should do: Make an appointment. Don't just go be a "walk-in" for something like your ribs, unless you are (and even if you are) heavily tattooed, there is a certain amount of mental preparation required for what people fail to recogonize is a PROCEDURE.

The day/night before your appointment, make sure you rest. Stock up on plenty of your vitamins, eat well, don't drink or engage in drug use and get a good nights sleep! If you're having a stressful day, it might be in your best interest to reschedule your apointment. I cannot tell you the countless times I have seen customers come in all stressed out from a days work or whatnot who go to sit for a tattoo and simply cannot take it. Mind you, these are customers whom I've watched sit for HOURS on a good day.

If you are a woman, (as I am as well) I HIGHLY reccomend not getting tattooed a week before/during/after your period. I'm telling you, it simply hurts more. Serotonin, the chemical in your brain that deals with things like emotion/hunger/etc also deals with PAIN. During your mentrual cycle, your hormones are all out of whack, affecting neurotransmitters in your brain such as, serotonin. I'm telling you, it just hurts more.

Hope that helped, and good luck on your tattoo!

If i get a tattoo on my rib cage , will it be affected in the future when i become pregnant ?
Q. It will be a quote of about 8 words going diagonally down my rib cage , nothing too big .

When i become pregnant , and get bigg , then small again ,what normally happens ?

A. Any body can be toned back into shape after a pregnancy. I'm sure you've seen imagery out there of women in their 50's that have the bodies of 20 year olds. Haha, as far as tattoos are concerned, depending on *where* you get it on your ribs, you may or may not have problems. (I digress; eventually, a text tattoo will get "old" looking, so you'll need to get it touched up eventually... but that's whether you're pregnant or not).

If your pregnancy does effect it, it would likely stretch the lettering out and make it... "thicker", I guess is the only way I can describe it. Cocoa butter rubbed on your skin on a daily basis will make it easier for the skin to maintain elasticity and it'll help the skin go back to its... "original" pliability after the pregnancy. Of course, you will have to get back to your original weight after having a baby, which for some women, is never an easy task.

I'm trying to say, it doesn't have to turn into an unsightly mess if you don't want it to or if you don't allow it to happen. But you're going to have to work for that result.

What accounts for a constant presence referred to as a "conscious" and why does it seek purely moral interests?

Q. Genetics? God? There have been experiments to determine whether or not this is a chemical process related to our decision-making and emotion parts of the brain. As these have yet to provide anything conclusive relating to whether it is or isn't a chemical reaction (unfortunately, we do not have the technology) this question is entirely philosophical.

Your presumption would be correct, but unfortunately Yahoo Answers will not allow me to edit my original question.

Where should I get my ambigram tattooed at?

Q. I am wanting to get a tattoo of an ambigram one way saying strength upside down it will say courage. I wanted it on the inside of forearm however since I am going to apply for a dental hygiene program I feel as if this would hurt my chances in the feild. any other ideas of where I should put it where I can hide it if I need for a job? I already have one of my inner ankle, and I am a women. also, what do you think of this tattoo idea? thanks!

A. If you really want it on the inside of your forearm I say go for it. You can always wear a 3/4 length sleeve shirt underneath your scrubs. If you don't like that, you can get it on the upper inside of your arm. You can get it on your side or on the top of your foot.

What is a good spot on my husbands body for the tattoo of my name?
Q. First of all, don't get judgemental, this is our decision and we are sure about it. we are getting married this summer and he knows where he wants his name on my body...that is easy because i am a woman.

but i don't know what an appropriate place on a man's body is, especially for a NAME... also, he is a policeman so he can't have it showing out of his uniform. please help me think!

A. Id def say get it on his chest! I think thats like the sexiest place on a man. My boyfriend got an M on his arm for me (and didnt tell me til after!), and i really wish he would have gotten it on his chest.
I know you dont wanna hear it, but I think a name isnt the best idea. Id suggest getting a picture or design that is symbolic to you and your relationship. That way if something happens along the road and you two do break up, he can play it off.
I got a tattoo of a shooting star on my foot for my boyfriend. I rarely see shooting stars. But I saw one on our first date, and another the day he asked me out. So it has alot of meaning but it is not as completely blatant as a name but we both know what it is.

Should I date a woman with a full sleeve tattoo?

Q. A full sleeve tattoo on a woman that is petite and otherwise innocent looking...
Maybe it means nothing? Maybe it says something about her personality, character?
Should I beware? Is she a biker chick? Are her previous boyfriends all huge and scary looking tattoo clad Hells Angels?

What drives a beautiful innocent woman to put a tattoo on her entire arm (sleeve)? Maybe she just likes it, or maybe she is one tough cookie?

A. Full sleeve of tattoos on an otherwise ordinary girl.... that sounds awesome to me. I usually see that as a sign that she's quirky in a fun way, but at the same time she is conscious of her appearance and not too weird.

What's the harm in taking her out a few times, get to know her. I would.

Tattooed women, Do you have any tattoos on your ankle/leg? If not then why? Is a sleeve better on arm or leg?
Q. This made me curious ever since I read someone else's similar questions. I have tattoos on each side of my ankle and just assumed that it never looked bad or bothered anyone, since I've gotten all compliments. I never understood though why people are saying that tattoos on the leg only look right on "certain" women who know how to pull off that look. What does that mean? I like the way a leg sleeve looks (a small one) + it can easily be concealed when needed. Also, why would anyone think it looks too masculine for a women to tattoo her leg.- Most guys I see have their arms & back, not their legs!
Thanks!

A. I have a tattoo on my ankle. It doesn't quite go all the way around and I do plan on finishing it, as well as getting one on my other ankle. For me, I would get my legs covered before my arms. It's easier to cover if you need to do so. I wear jeans most of the year anyway, so it would be less likely to fade.

To each their own. Put your tattoos where you want them, not where other people think they should be.

Why do so many lower class young women like tattoos these days?

Q. Women my age love tattoos. But, it seems like tattoos weren't as popular twenty, even ten years ago. Don't get me wrong. I've seen some smoking a$$ hot punk rock chicks, but that's different. They go all the way - the clothes, attitude, tats, everything.

I'm talking about trashy suburban girl who gets the tramp stamp or whatever.

A. Ahhhh. Nothing says Am I skank more than tattoos.
Fair or unfair, tattoos have a socially constructed connotation associated with them. These women are labeled as tramps, whores, or other derogatory sexually promiscuous terms. Although these are often bias generalized claims, there have been sociological studies done by the American Psychological Association, Federal Bureau of Prisons, and other demographic researchers showing strong correlative evidence associating tattoos with high risk behavior, illegal substance abuse and sexual promiscuity.

Those chicks with tramp stamps are the kinds of girls you take home to bang. But don’t get into relationships with them because they are often immature gold digging skanks who sleep with everyone. Oh yeah, make sure you use a condom because you don’t want to end up with chlamydia trachoma (which 1 in 20 women have between the ages of 14-39 according to the center of disease control… probably much higher if they have massive tattoos considering the scientific coloration between sluttiness and tramp stamps). Also, if they pop out a baby (which they often do), they may have issues getting epidurals through their tattoos.

Why do so many people in prison have tattoos?
Q. Both men and women, and I'm not talking about tattoos they get in prison, most of them had tattoos before they got locked up.
To Olivia, I'm not saying that all tattooed people are criminals. If you go to any prison you will find that 9 out of 10 prisoners have tattoos. I am just stating a fact, not a generalization. I have nothing against people with tattoos. I have reported you for your insulting answer.

A. Tattoos and criminals sort of go hand in hand, It could have something to do with trying to be a hardcore person.... It's probably to do with being a try hard....

What is the coolest tattoo you have every seen?

Q. On a celebrity, friend, someone you don't know...on anyone.

Something that not everyone has...unique.
...for a girl and not to big

A. The most beautiful tattoo I've ever seen was on a 60ish year old woman who had had a mastectomy. She did not want breast reconstruction and got a tattoo of a rainbow, with clouds, raindrops and 2 doves tattooed over where her breasts used to be.

It was amazing...done so well. The artist obviously was extremely talented and the woman was so happy with it, she was crying. I still admire her for that. I wish I had a photo of it but I don't.

What in the world is with girls and piercings, tattoos, etc?
Q. I'm a guy and I think girls with piercings (pretty much anywhere other than the ears) is absolutely horrendous looking! So ugly! It makes the girls look like total trash, definitely makes me lose attraction for them.

Why do they do it? I see girls with natural beauty who then get ugly piercings and tattoos. Why????

A. We get them because it expresses ourselves.
it makes us unique...
some women also get them for cultural, spiritual, and religious religions.
just because we get piercings and tattoos...doesn't give you the right to judge us.
we are ourselves...and if you don't like someone for who they are...then go find a woman without piercings and tattoos...i hear there's plenty.
like honestly if you don't like them...then don't look at us...look at someone else.
like honest to **** people like you piss me off.
we look like trash cause of a small hole in OUR body...that you don't like.
like seriously...go**** yourself already.
and stop judging other based on their appearance!

What would you think of a tattoo like this?

Q. A naked woman with her legs spread tattooed on a guys stomach. The guys belly button would be the part that was between her legs.

A. Make sure to not clean your belly button so that the hole has plenty of lint and crumbs

What do you think about older women with tattoos?
Q. so, im thinking about getting tattoos like crazy. Mostly on my arms. People always be like that's stupid what are you going to do when you get old, but im thinking if you're 80 with tattoos.. Who cares because you'll still look old just with tattoos. I mean if your 110, with or without tattoos, im pretty sure you're not going to be the most beautiful thing on the planet. Just send me you're opinion on this.

A. I would think, hey, there's an older woman with tattoos, she must be a unique, strong-willed person. I am getting close to forty, and have two full sleeves, leg tattoos, and back tattoos. I love all of my tattoos just as much today as I did back when I got them. I say, get settled into adulthood, then tattoo yourself crazy!!!

Looking for a personal review or reference for a tattoo artist in Seattle, WA?
Q. I am taking a trip to Seattle over the new year, and I'm hoping to get a tattoo while I'm there.
I've already done some research on Google, and so far I'm leaning towards Stephanie at Madame Lazonga Tattoo.
Does anyone have a personal reference or review from a tattoo artist in Seattle?

As I said, I've already done some research, I'm looking for personal experience.
Looking for a reference for ANY tattoo artist, not necessarily limited to Stephanie at Madame Lazonga Tattoo.

A. Hello --- i go to Magenta at Diamond Tattoo in Kent. Here is a video of the tattoos she
has done. The leg one is a cover up and it's now 4 days old. There is more to go as after
4 plus hours the skin said no more and we had to give it a rest until later, so the highlights
and color are still to be put in. Hopefully you are going before the 12th of January as she
will be out here in florida to do the all women artists tattoo convention.

Hope this is a help.

Please explain the reason for extensive tattoos!?

Q. I have several friends who have recently gone & got tattoos. I'm not talking about little subtle tattoos, I am talking about an entire leg, arm, torso, etc. The thought of how permanent that is really freaks me out. Not saying it's right, but so many employers discriminate against body art (unfortunately). One friend almost looks diseased, because she has so many designs on one leg. I would think these can't be covered up easily once you get so many. Please help me understand the thrill. It just looks odd to go to a formal occasion with body art all over your arm. It's almost a lifestyle change. Again, I am not discriminating, I'm just wondering if I'm missing something, or if you can cover them with makeup?

A. You're right, it is a lifestyle change! You suddenly become part of a new 'culture' and the first thing people see about you is your tattoos.

I'm not heavily tattooed - I have 8, one is smallish, one is medium and the rest are medium-to-large. One of my upper arms is covered, it isn't joined up into a half sleeve because it's all black and grey but it is still very noticeable. Couple on the other side and the rest are on my back which is mostly covered. I will be having quite a few more tattoos before I'm done though.

It is true that it's addictive. I never saw myself having a lot of tattoos, and once upon a time it used to matter to me what it'd look like in an evening dress etc. But it sort of creeps up on you, you get one you want a second, you get a second you want a third, then suddenly you want about twenty!

We all have our individual reasons but for me, I just see them as an extension of my own skin. Personally, I don't just have random things in random places. Although the designs are all different, they are all based on a similar style and I see my body as one large canvas that I'm decorating in some sort of order. It's not all planned out or anything but, for example if you had a real canvas, you wouldn't just place the odd bit here and there on it that didn't correlate, you would work it into one design layout, even if that comprised of different designs. Does that make sense? Well that's just how I see my body.

And I think they're beautiful, and they make me feel much more confident about my appearance. They are my favourite thing about my outward image, so I'm not ashamed to show them off in dresses or whatever.

The employment factor is of course important - some people carry on without regarding it but I think they are mostly foolish, it is definitely important to consider it. No tattoo is worth not being able to feed your family for! I'm currently studying to be a teacher, and generally speaking visible tattoos are not allowed in that field. But I know some teachers with sleeves or visible tattoos at least and I've spoken to them and asked around, and the general consensus is that long sleeve aren't that bad (here in rainy England, at least!). Particularly for women, who, when it does get hot in summer, have the option of looser fitting, light and floaty tops. My tattoos so far don't go past my elbow for this reason, to give me the option of half length sleeves, I don't know if I'll change my mind in the future but I'm going to wait until I'm at least in my career before going onto my forearms.

You can get special makeup to cover tattoos but I personally don't know of anyone that uses it. The general consensus is that tattoos are just as much part of the skin as moles, freckles, birthmarks, etc. Just because it came later down the line doesn't mean they don't become natural for us, if that makes sense.

I totally understand why it might be difficult to grasp the concept when you're not 'sucked in' yourself! And there's nothing wrong with asking about it! I think there are a lot of things about people that we don't understand and sometimes will never understand, but we simply have to accept the diversity in life and accept people for what they are, without judging them for these traits. :-)

Edit: Oh and something else, as I reread your question and noticed the 'not little subtle tattoos' bit. There are a lot of people who get one or two tiny little things and leave it at that. And that's great for them. But generally speaking, they're a totally different type of person. People who end up extensively tattooed are usually seriously interested in tattooing as an artform, and usually people who just have one or two little things are not. It's like comparing people who have earlobe piercings to people who are heavily modified with piercings - different kettles of fish, earlobe piercings are very common, but someone who gets their ears pierced aren't really part of the same culture that gets fifty holes in their face. Personally, I find it weirder when people do just get one or two little tattoos. I don't judge and of course it's their choice - free world! I just think it's like dipping your toe in the water and never jumping in, I don't really see the point, whether they just have one to have one or what, I don't know. My sister has two tiny tattoos and we totally disagree - she is just like you and cannot understand me, and I can't understand her! I just personally think big tattoos look much better than tiny tattoos and hold up much better over the decades too. But once again we're back to the diversity point - and lets face it the world would be extremely boring if we were all the same! :-)

I need some tattoo ideas...?
Q. Okay for my next birthday my fiancee and I are going to get his first and my first ever tattoo and we are doing it together. We want it to symbolize us as a couple and for us being together forever. I don't want ANY name ideas. NO NAMES. I am more so looking for quotes, or pictures even... If someone would like to come up with something involving Tigger and Pooh without making it too childish of an idea that would help... I call him Tigger and he calls me Pooh... I was thinking of something to do with honey for him and something dealing with tiger stripes for me... I just need some ideas to run it by him before he gets home from his SOI and MOS school... Also, since he is in the Marines he cannot have a tattoo on his wrist, or his arm as far as I know so his would have to be on his torso like his side or back or something. But like I said, something that matches and that people can look at and tell that they match.
Well he will have been in a year by the time that we actually get it and I already know what PT gear looks like I mean I have seen him in his skivvy shorts plenty of times. And I wouldn't suggest him to get one of his face. That is retarded. And why would he get it on his foot? Stupid, yet again. I want it somewhere that when we stand together the tattoos would generally be in the same spot and close together. And yes, yet again, I know that they change because I have seen this change. I know more then you think, and if you are going to answers my question at least give me and ANSWER to my QUESTION instead of trying to be a know it all... Mmmkay? THANKS.

A. well this might sound odd...i plan on getting with my husband whenever it happens...i was planning on getting the bar code tattoo and on the bottom where the numbers go it will have our birthdates and day we married...get it?...also i was thinking of getting puzzle pieces on the stomach him on his and me on mine on the ribs...the puzzles will fit each other..its sort of biblical tho i dont know how u feel bout religion.since woman came from man rib it will be a sort of connection...but yeah hope u find something!

Would a valkyrie wing be a good tattoo for a guy?
Q. I know that the valkyrie were woman that chose who would live and die on the battlefield and I know that it symbolizes strength and protection on the battelfield so would it be weird if a guy got it tattoed?

A. If you want it and have a great image that you love and a skilled and experienced tattoo artist, then get anything that you want. Images have no gender. If you want it get it.

How would you perceive an attractive female with a not so girly tattoo?
Q. but not manly at all! just not the average hearts, butterflies, all that unoriginal stuff (no offense they look cute and all!) haha

something alittle more. for example a tattoo like angelina's, megan fox's tats etc?

i personally love them and it makes them a little endearing and mysterious, its not something you'd expect from a pretty girl. makes her unique

def. badass! what do you guys think? just curious?

A. i personally think that not so feminine tattoos are hot on women, and all the guys ive dated would def. agree.

most of the guys ive dated or been interested in, ive met because they noticed my tattoos and were intrigued, which is not very common for pretty young girls to be very heavily tattooed. [i mean, two sleeves, full chest piece, feet, ribs, one calf, piece on the neck behind the ear.. pretty heavy]

i mean, you'll never be able to get EVERYONE you ask to agree that theyre hot or not, but from my experience and from people i know, heavy tattoos or not feminine tattoos on women are extremely hot.

at the same time, i do get weird looks, or ive had an old woman say to me "those are for ugly girls" or things like that. i do have people ask "why such a pretty young girl would do that to herself", so yes, there will always be haters. but get a tattoo for yourself, not for the rest of society!!

tattoos are also starting to be a lot more socially acceptable these days-- almost everyone, even a community's most-respected people, are getting tatted up now!

I want a small tattoo but my boyfriend of 2 years doesn't want me to get it. Advice?

Q. I just want a small quote on my ribs that means a lot to me. He knows it's important, he just does not find them attractive. I value his opinion more than anything, especially since he will have to look at it for the rest of our lives, but I'm having trouble just giving up on getting it. I considered getting it regardless in the hope he'd like it but I'm scared for his reaction honestly. He is the love of my life and I'm worried if I get it that he will never really get over it. Please no "don't get tattoos" comments. Thanks!

A. Its ur body, ur temple, u are not his property, get a tattoo if you want one, my ex demanded that i do not get any and well i have to full arms, chest, ribs, and thighs done, and i love it, but a little advice, it hurts like a m#$#%% b$#%% on the ribs, unless you can take pain, go ahead, some men don't like women with tattoos, sure once he realizes it will be hidden, he would be fine. ur choice, good luck!

Best location for tattoo in a woman?
Q. I want to tattoo a small/medium feather in my inner wrist as my first tattoo...but also like to do a second one and would like some opinion, i'm thinking about a quote (always be true to yourself) in my side rib just where it goes my bra, or three birds bellow my belly button on one side. Which one you think is most beautiful/sexiest?

A. Honestly a place like your wrist or your calf is much better. You don't want it to come off like a tramp stamp and end up regretting it.
