Can someone help me with some tattoo questions/concerns?

Q. I am looking to get a tattoo for my birthday in a few months and I am hoping someone can help me with a few questions and concerns.

I know that some tattoos are a bit pricy considering the size and location on the body. The one I want it fairly small, smaller than my fist and I want it on my ankle. It also contains several colors. I have heard that the more colors in your tattoo the more expensive it is. But I have also heard that this is false.

First question; based on the size and location of this tattoo how much pain should I expect?
Second question; what would be a good amount of money to save before going to get the tattoo (I know quotes change by day so I'm not really expecting to get a decent quote from a parlor)?
Third question; is it true that it's more expensive for colored tattoos?

I also am concerned that the tattoo will fade in color later in life. Does this happen, and if it does, what can I do to prevent it? And of course there is the standard concern of the tattoo getting infected.

Here is a picture of the tattoo I want. It's the heart one (I am clarifying as there are two tattoos on the woman in this picture.)
http://www.geekytattoos.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Zelda_Heart_Container.png

A. Hi! Well, I have three tattoos. One on my ribs, one on the side of my hip and another on the inside of my ankle. I'm telling you this because I have a point - I promise. Taking each 'pain' of all three tattoos didn't measure up to the pain I had when I got my tragus pierced. When I got my tragus I wanted to cry. For the tattoos I almost fell asleep.

Anyway, everyone has a different pain tolerance, what might hurt me might not hurt you and vice versa. The ankle IS a boney area so you will experience some discomfort. To me the outlining hurts the worse than the shading but I've heard for most people the shading hurts worse.

I would save a good bit amount, granted I don't know the pricing where you're located but looking at the tattoo it does look like it would cost a pretty penny considering it does have a lot of dimension in it.

Around here where I live (Louisiana) generally speaking colored tattoos that have more than two do tend to cost a bit more than just black tattoos. And like I said before, since your tattoo will have a bit more depth in it, the price will raise.

Coloring does fade BUT if the tattoo artist uses good quality ink, you should be on the safe side. My tattoo artist (who happens to be my uncle) used this new Japanese ink and the colors are fricken vibrant as hell. I have pink, orange and blue and I've had this tattoo for almost 4 years now and it's still as bright as it was the day I got it. The things you can do to prevent is keep it out of direct sunlight. AFTER it has healed, use sunblock on it because the sun will drain the color out and if you go into a tanning bed, cover it up.

Like I previously said, I have three tattoos none of them got infected but then again everyone is different. Just keep it clean, and do as your tattoo artist tells you. After I got my tattoo done on my heel my uncle had told me whenever I leave my house put a bandaid on my tattoo because if I don't the dirt from the ground kicking up will get into it but make sure it's an actual bandaid not a gause.

Also, please PLEASE PLEASE make sure the tattoo artist you're going to is a GOOD one who does good work and uses clean things. I'm not saying this being I'm thinking you wouldn't other wise but I just feel like I need to stress this because my uncle is a tattoo artist and I've seen horror stories coming in the shops and it's just awful.

I hope I helped some, good luck!

Women with tattoos?
Q. You like your tats, regret them, want more? Guys what do you think of ladies with tats on the forearms, arms, legs, neck, back ect. This inetersting topic came up not too long ago...so Id like to here your take

I have tats n love em!
im loving these answers......keep em coming!

A. i currently don't have any, but i want one. the thing is, i think a tattoo should be more than just a decoration, it should have meaning to you.

my best friend has a tattoo of a winged unicorn on her hip. no one ever sees it unless she decides to show it to them. it is something just for her. it reminds her of her childhood, and our obsession with "unipegasus" when we were little.

tattoos can be very sexy and beautiful, but only if there is actual meaning behind it. otherwise, its just tacky.

Is bill kaulitz a virgin in 2010?

Q. Im pretty sure he is but im just making sure...also does he have a girlfriend?

A. He keeps saying he DOESN'T have a gf as of 2010 and no I don't think he's a virgin with as many women that to have sex with him- he's a rock n' roll star.

Apparently he's had a few gf's some years ago (this is a pretty reliable source)
http://www.whosdatedwho.com/celebrities/people/dating/bill-kaulitz-2.htm

This chick is about 7 years older than Bill and as hot as she looks, I don't think there's any way in hell he didn't have sex with her.

This is a little older but he keeps on saying the same thing year after year anyway-->

2010...This video asks "How Often Does He Have Sex?" & he talks about not having a gf. He also gets into a mini-argument with his brother over this. This is the best clip of those I posted. Happy viewing ;-)

A. I think it's normal to be excited when you find someone you feel like your match:P.

I would suggest you to take things slowly from here on and don't rush it.Give her also some more time to understand.Different girls have different preferences and if you really love just wait for few days and get a clear picture of what she has in her heart and then maybe tell your love.

You both needs to understand each other well and spend more time together and then can decide whether you love her or just like her.You need to value her feelings too:).

Best of luck for New Year day:).

Good day:).

Arabic tattoo ideas!!!?

Q. I'm going to get a tattoo friday and i know what i want im just not 100% sure. I want something arabic arabic on my right shoulder blade. My dad is muslim and its haram to write anything with regards to allah on your body, so i don't want any muslim prayers. But my mom is christian and ive seen tons of arabic christian tattoos. I like the calligraphy tattoos but I have no idea what half of them mean. I want something more or less like this.
http://joshberer.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/zeinab.jpg

Also, does anyone have any idea how much that would cost more or less? My friend's tattoo artist told me about $200 and please don't coach me about tattoos being haram, because theyre not unless you depict allah or faces or names or animals because that goes against the bismillah. I go to mosque, i know;) And even when you go to palestine you see the women with tattooed eyebrows and ive seen lots of hijabi women in dubai with REAL tattoos (not henna).

A. Hi, first of all you will need an Arabic tattoo design artist because most tattoo parlors do not know Arabic.
I know an artist that has just launched his page on Face Book he is very reasonably priced and gives free design consultations. He also does free translations so people can prevent themselves from getting inked permanently with a bad translation. If you give him a try he can help you to decide exactly what you want.
Take a look at his page and send him a message to get started.

If you could tell me what episode this was or if you happen to find a picture of it that would be very appreciated.
Thanks!

A. you could try emailing him and asking... he's got his own shop / website, six feet under

Know of any wicked female tattoo artists in Seattle?

Q. Well, I'm going for a visit to Seattle, and nothing is more fun than getting a tattoo'd in a new city! I would really like this tattoo done by a woman, it would be a first for me. I'm thinking of some kind of asian/buddhist pattern... anyway, any thoughts?
Thanks!

A. Christy broker - award winning artist
www.christybrooker.com

Madame Lazonga (no really im not kidding here)
www.vyvyn.com

Darcy Nutt
www.slavetotheneedle.com

Hope this helps. Make sure you check out portfolios, they give a good indication if an artist can do the right style for what youre looking for.

And to the above, if they disinfect the needes first i hope you run very very very far away. Needles should be brand new fresh out of a STERILE packet. (that by the way in some states the artist has to open infront of the customer or its illegal)

How to talk to women that you just meet?
Q. I am wondering how i would go about asking a woman out on a date if i have never spoke with her before that moment.Like if im buying something at a store and she is the cashier or if i see her walking in the store. I know looks arent everything but if she is attractive then we would have to hang out in order to get to know each other. Thanks.

A. You need to look for reasons to strike up a conversation. Does she have an interesting tattoo? Is she reading a book? Does she have on some kind of interesting clothing? Simply make a comment about that.

Then before you ask her out, you need to make things personal. This will make you seem like a normal person, not some kind of creep. To do this you ask her opinion about something or otherwise get her to contribute something personal to the conversation. LIke:

You: Hey you're wearing a University of Washington sweatshirt. Are you from Seattle?
Her: Yeah, I lived there for 5 years.
You: Oh, that's cool. What did you study?
Her: I studied art. Mostly oil painting.

Then you just ask her out.

You: I think artistic women are really attractive. Hey, I've gotta run, but I'd love to meet you for coffee and get to know you better. Give me your number.
Her: 555-555-5555

Then all you need to do is call her and ask her out.

I hope this helps.

Help with inner strength tattoo ideas.?

Q. I'm getting this tattoo for my mom because she's been through so much and she's the strongest woman I know. So far, on my shoulder, I'm thinking of using the quote "let your joy scream across the pain" and some birds flying across my shoulder. But I want more detail. Help?

A. In the tattoo world, the tattoo for inner strength is the black panther.

The black panther is the largest and most ferocious cat of the Americas, pound for pound more fierce and dangerous than: the tiger, the lion or the leopard. The panther is at the pinnacle of the food chain in the Americas. Wherever this feline is found, it's revered for its strength, valor and power. Also for its maternal gentleness. As a tattoo motif, the panther makes a powerful statement about the person who chooses it, for it is a symbol of courage, strength and personal leadership.

For your tattoo, first you need to place lettering in a flat spot that doesn't move or the lettering will distort. Since the lettering is so long the only place it will fit is the chest.

I would under arch the lettering on the chest from shoulder to shoulder. In the space in between, I would place a black panther head. Your tattoo would look fabulous and become instant classic.

looking to get a tattoo, i wanted a strong feminist or independent women quote?
Q. im not sure what to get but i want it to pretty much mean that i dont need anybody to be successful. and i can do it all on my own. im open to other ideas as well please share

A. if you can do it on your own- then why are you asking us? seems like an oxymoron.

Tattoos on women? Opinions?

Q. Chest, back, groin, arm, leg tat's.

This is a hudge turn on for me. What is your opinion?

A. I actually don't like tattoos on women at all, and I've noticed people get flamed on these boards for saying that (I have no idea why, I'm just stating my opinion). People act like you're narrow-minded if you don't like tattoos or something - this is the most absurd thing I've ever heard. It's got nothing to do with narrow-mindedness. I literally don't like the aesthetic effect of tattoos on women. It's a purely visual phenomenon for me.

The truth is, tattoos have a masculine look to me. I am really attracted to feminine girls, so a girl with tattoos on her arms, back, legs, etc. immediately becomes less attractive to me than she would be if she didn't have the tattoos. Tattoos on women have the same effect to me as big manly muscles on women - it just isn't attractive to me. I've heard some people say that all tattoos aren't masculine - they say, for example, how can a tattoo of a rose or a flower or something girly be masculine? But they're missing the point - it doesn't matter what the tattoo is. The actual appearance of ink all over someone's skin looks masculine no matter what, even if it's tattoos of roses or rainbows. They just spoil the natural beauty and femininity of women to me.

The beauty of a woman's natural body and natural smooth skin is far more appealing and feminine than one cluttered with ink, regardless of what specific designs the tattoos have. It's a desecration of the holy temple of perfectness that is the natural female body.

Tattoos on Women - Poll?
Q. Tell us about your feelings involving tattoos on women. I am most interested in those who think it looks sexy verses masculine on women. Also where do you think placement matters (do you like tattoos on a woman's arm most, her lower back, inner wrist, etc) ? What style do you like on women? (such as flowers, skulls, tribal)
Let's find out what all of us bored late nighters think. And yes, I have tattoos (I'm also over 30 and married).

A. i have tattoos and i think that not all women should get them. its all about self expression... i find that most places arent attractive on women such as a sleeve on the arm but my opinion on that doesnt really matter if the person is happy with it. i actually dont like things that are common... i get tattoos as a symbol of something important in my life not as just a decoration of something i thought was "cool" at the time... to me it has to be meaningful

Why do people get tattoos?

Q. Why do people get tattoos?
Tattoos, ear piercings, implants.. modification... why do people modify and tattoo themselves when it is not only imaginably extremely painful but financially costly too?

Eric Sprague known as the Lizardman was one of the first people to have a split tongue .
The winner in multi-layered tattooing is Lucky Diamond Rich, who has taken 1,000 hours having his body modified.

what tattoo could i get that relates to the 50 shades of grey series?

Q. i'm a girl. i'm obsessed with the series. i wanna get a tattoo in honor lol
something that i know is about 50 shades of grey but maybe something that no one else would be able to figure out?

A. For the love of god, dont do it. When you get more mature, you will definitely want it removed, and that costs a ton and hurts a lot. Or are you willing to be a 60 year old woman with a trashy novel forever engraved on your ***? (Dont report that. I didnt curse, I just typed asterisks.)

Can people with Von Willebrand disease or hemophilia get tattoos?
Q. Can people with Von Willebrand disease get tattoos? The who wants it has type 2A; or will she bleed too much?

A. Yes. Von Willebrand disease (VWD) is the most common of all the rare inherited bleeding disorders. It is more common and usually milder than hemophilia..

Von Willebrand's disease is a bleeding disorder in which a blood clotting protein(von Willebrand factor and Factor VIII) in your body's blood system is missing or does not work well.

In type 2 VWD,( usually mild) the von Willebrand factor doesn't work the way it should. Type 2 is divided into subtypes: 2A, 2B, 2M, and 2N. Different gene mutations (changes) cause each type, and each is treated differently. So it's important to know the exact type of VWD that you have.

Like hemophilia, vWD is a genetic disorder that is passed from parent to child. The child of a man or a woman with vWD has a 50% chance of getting the gene. In types 1 and 2, a child inherits the gene for the disease from one parent. In type 3, the child usually inherits the gene from both parents. In those cases, the child will likely have severe symptoms, even if the parents don't have any symptoms at all. VWD affects both males and females, while hemophilia mainly affects males

When a person with hemophilia is injured, he does not bleed harder or faster than a person without hemophilia, he bleeds longer. Small cuts or surface bruises are usually not a problem, but more traumatic injuries may result in serious problems and potential disability (called "bleeding episodes").

I don't see any reason why you can not get a tattoo. If you have hemophilia, you may bleed for a longer time than others after an injury.
Tattoos are surface bruises or small cuts. They are not very deep.to cause exessive bleeding

In general, small cuts and scrapes are treated with regular first-aid: clean the cut, then apply pressure and a band-aid. Individuals with mild hemophilia can use a non-blood product called desmopressin acetate (DDAVP) to treat small bleeds.

You just have to be extra careful to avoid bleeding excessively. as non-stop bleeding can lead to death. You should inform the tattooist so he can apply pressure after he designs with his needle and to proceed very slowly.

How long does a Henna tattoo last? Can it only be worn during special occasions?

Q. I saw a woman with a Henna tattoo on her hand and thought it was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't ask her about it as we were in a seminar at the time,so we didn't have time chat. How long do they last? Are they only for special occasions, like weddings? Thanks. X Sarah

A. the length of time really depends on how you take care of it ive put baby oil on some and only gently cleaned the area and had them last over a week it also depends on the strength of the henna mixture the tint and how it was applied

I wear em all the time? you can buy the past dye you ad whatever it calls for then mix it up and apply they sell stencils and stuff but I have never been successful with them

I think they look particularly cute with summery skin baring outfits Ive been putting them around my upper arm

it take some time but its so cute when they're done

google henna supplies and ideas you'll find a ton of stuff

traditionally they are worn for manny different occasions

What would you think if you saw a young woman with a neck Tattoo?
Q. I have a curved shaped neck, with a large bony bit on the back, so I wouldn't be able to get the Gypsy woman head tattoo I want there, I would have to get it on the side of my neck.

Obviously I'm not going to base my decision completely on the opinions of strangers, but it will be helpful to get some unbiased advice.

I am training to work with animals, so I will have a good reputable profession, but hopefully by the time I'm fully trained people will have a better attitude towards tattoos.

I would also like to point out, I have a hand tattoo that says 'dad' on it, with hearts and swirls and I'm not one of those people that goes for tattoos because they think it looks pretty, all my current ones have meaning, and all my future ones will too, including this one.

A. I am a big fan of neck tattoos. I really like the look and it is an area that can accommodate a nice tattoo.
No one can determine how others will accept tattoos. However, it is obvious tattoos are more popular than ever and of course more easily accepted. I think it will only get better.
If you want this tattoo, get it. When it comes time to sell yourself for a job, be yourself and be your best. No logical person would overlook the best candidate because of a tattoo.

How bad does a rib cage tattoo hurt?

Q. I'm a chubby girl and I'm planning to get this tattoo on my right rib cage

http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kzafpbJWl41qa3igco1_400.jpg

how bad will it hurt?

A. Tattoos hurt no matter what. Anyone who says they don't is boldface lying. How badly a tattoo hurts varies on person to person. For me for instance, I sat like a champ for my ribs and foot, but cried like a little b**** on my back. When going to get your tattoo, or thinking about one, pain factor should be the LEAST of your concerns. If you want it bad enough, believe me, you'll sit for it. The picture you provided looks like its just ALOT OF BLACK. Which, because of the nature of having to "pack" the color in there, can be legitimately more painful, then lets say, if you were getting a black and grey shaded piece in the same area. Don't worry about how bad it will hurt, if you want it, you'll sit for it.

Here's what you should do: Make an appointment. Don't just go be a "walk-in" for something like your ribs, unless you are (and even if you are) heavily tattooed, there is a certain amount of mental preparation required for what people fail to recogonize is a PROCEDURE.

The day/night before your appointment, make sure you rest. Stock up on plenty of your vitamins, eat well, don't drink or engage in drug use and get a good nights sleep! If you're having a stressful day, it might be in your best interest to reschedule your apointment. I cannot tell you the countless times I have seen customers come in all stressed out from a days work or whatnot who go to sit for a tattoo and simply cannot take it. Mind you, these are customers whom I've watched sit for HOURS on a good day.

If you are a woman, (as I am as well) I HIGHLY reccomend not getting tattooed a week before/during/after your period. I'm telling you, it simply hurts more. Serotonin, the chemical in your brain that deals with things like emotion/hunger/etc also deals with PAIN. During your mentrual cycle, your hormones are all out of whack, affecting neurotransmitters in your brain such as, serotonin. I'm telling you, it just hurts more.

Hope that helped, and good luck on your tattoo!

If i get a tattoo on my rib cage , will it be affected in the future when i become pregnant ?
Q. It will be a quote of about 8 words going diagonally down my rib cage , nothing too big .

When i become pregnant , and get bigg , then small again ,what normally happens ?

A. Any body can be toned back into shape after a pregnancy. I'm sure you've seen imagery out there of women in their 50's that have the bodies of 20 year olds. Haha, as far as tattoos are concerned, depending on *where* you get it on your ribs, you may or may not have problems. (I digress; eventually, a text tattoo will get "old" looking, so you'll need to get it touched up eventually... but that's whether you're pregnant or not).

If your pregnancy does effect it, it would likely stretch the lettering out and make it... "thicker", I guess is the only way I can describe it. Cocoa butter rubbed on your skin on a daily basis will make it easier for the skin to maintain elasticity and it'll help the skin go back to its... "original" pliability after the pregnancy. Of course, you will have to get back to your original weight after having a baby, which for some women, is never an easy task.

I'm trying to say, it doesn't have to turn into an unsightly mess if you don't want it to or if you don't allow it to happen. But you're going to have to work for that result.

Does anyone know any good tattoo place in LONDON?

Q. Does anyone know any good tattoo place in London.
How much does a tattoo normally cost and how much do they hurt.

A. There are a lot of tattoo studios in Camden Town that I hear are quite good. I can't give you a personal recommendation as I've never used any personally, I'm up in Leicester, but I would go there and take a walk down the main street and pop into the ones down there, get a feel for the place, chat to the artist and ask to see a portfolio of some of their work, and then see where you're drawn to. As for how much they cost and hurt - totally depends. Tattoos can range from £15 to £500 and beyond lol. Totally depends what you want. Studios always have walls of flash (pre-designed tattoos) with a price list. You can take a look at those and get an idea of the price. For custom work, they usually charge by the hour. My artist is about average and charges about £60 an hour, although I imagine the prices will be a bit higher in London. Never be tempted to go to anywhere just because it's cheap, cheap doesn't usually equal good with tattoos. But even if you wanted a tiny design, shops usually have a minimum amount they'll charge, usually between £20-£40, which is the minimum you'd pay even if you hypothetically wanted a tattoo of a little dot. Go and check it out. And the pain depends on your tolerance, the artist, and the placement of the tattoo. I have a really, really low pain tolerance, and the tattoos I've had on my back and rib areas have hurt me a lot, but the fleshier areas have been virtually painless. The most painful areas are your spine, ribs, feet, chest, etc. Least are like, calves, upper arms, bum, stomach (although I don't recommend abdominal tattoos, women's weight fluctuates there over the years and they can become distorted, and if you have children it can really ruin them). But for a small tattoo, even on a painful area it's not so bad, for me the pain is more when he's been going over the same area for hours on end. Little tattoos can take less than half an hour, so that'd be bearable wherever you had it. My advice is not to walk into a studio and pick a piece of flash off the wall and get it done there and then. If you want to use flash, that's your choice, but at least go away and have a good think about it before getting it done. But it's probably better to design something personal to you, you can look for inspiration on the internet and take pictures into your chosen artist who can draw something up for you if you can't draw well yourself. Always take a few weeks to consider the tattoo you want. I've been certain I've wanted something before and then actually changed my mind while waiting, and been glad I waited. Other things I've waited and still been set on, and been able to get more comfortable in the knowledge that this is what I really want. Good luck.

How long does it take a person to go from a jail to a prison?
Q. I know i have to go to court and from court to jail and then to prison correct? so how long does it take to go from jail to the prison? Also I hear alot about intake will there be an intake at the jail and prison? if so are the intake process any different between the 2?

A. In Texas, figure about 40 days to get from jail to prison. The state has to start paying the county to house you after 45 days, which is something they don't want to do.

If you're ever stayed overnight at a jail, you know what intake is there. It's everything that happens from the time you first walk in the door and someone asks you if you have medical problems to the time you reach your bunk...fingerprints, mug shot, interview, etc.

Intake for prison is a little different. You strip and change out of your jail uniform into a transport uniform, get chained up, and get on the van with any other women going to prison. They take you across state to the intake facility. Intake then takes a couple of weeks, after which you sit around waiting to get transferred to your permanent unit. The whole process takes about a month.

In Texas, the first thing that happens is a strip search and property inventory...you get told what you can keep, what you have to send to relatives, and what gets thrown away. They inspect you head to toe and note all your scars and tattoos. You shower and dress, and go to a place called the "dog pound" (because it has open cells that resemble a giant dog pound). I think it's about 4 women to a cell. From there, it's just like checking into a jail...hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait...except that every time they take you out for something, they return you to your cell when you're done.

During intake, you'll get complete medical and dental exams, various psychological tests, an IQ test, tests to see how much high school stuff you remember, etc. The idea is to see if you need any particular classes and such. Part of this is the Sociology I and Sociology II tests. They are the exact same test...questions about your crime, your family life, you history, how you get along with people. The difference is that during Sociology I, the questions are "straight"...they just ask, and you answer. During Sociology II, they try to push your buttons. Same questions, but they try to stress you out to see how you act under pressure. To pass Sociology II, just give the same answers, and don't lose your cool.

After about a month in intake, you'll go to your assigned unit, where you'll spend most of your time. Near release, they may move you to another facility to do "pre-release classes".

How can I cure a Brony?
Q. WARNING: If you are a diseased "Brony," and are going to say "join the herd," I am immune to the feminine tv program you're enslaved to. People have tried to convert me daily, but to no avail.
You've seen it everywhere, grown men losing all their masculinity, and submitting to a show designed for 6-8 year-old girls. My Little Pony is a plague. Now I call it a disease because it has a way of spreading, it gets to large communities, and affects the decisions of people. I HAVE tried to watch this show, and amongst all the squealing, the dumb SFX, poor writing, and absolute stupidity, I managed to developer a migraine from a single episode of this crap! I am fed up with this sudden sprouting of juvenile behavior, and want to know the cure. These people called "Bronys" are not sane if they believe that this stupid program could be considered manly. I need to know: how do I correct the errors of their ways?
I've tried introducing different shows, but it doesn't seem to sink in!

A. Here's the thing to me about masculinity: Its really not important.
The difference between a man and a women is a guy can pee standing up,never have to suffer from pushing something the size of a bowling ball through the tiny hole at the end of their dick hole and not have to bleed out the butt while having what feels like knives doing the tango in their stomach from 11 to 50 yrs old.
If your going to apply for say a doctor,do you really think the interviewer gives a dam who you slept with in High School or what sport you were the star of?
If you got nothing but Fs in college, have a criminal record as long as Texas, and have tattoos all over you then just saying you've watched a lot of House M.D. isn't going to get you hired there or anywhere.
As long as what you do in your spare time isn't illegal, puts yourself or others in danger, and doesn't effect your social life in any extreme way then there's nothing to worry about.

Also I'm sorry people tried to force you into watching something you don't want to.I'm a fan of it but I know like anything not everything appeals to everyone.

What are some fun games or ice breakers for a Women's Retreat?

Q. I am planning a Women's Retreat for my chruch. There will be 15 - 25 women in a beach house in October. What are some fun, silly games or events we could do at the house?

A. Sit in a circle and have everyone tell the group something they have done that
1) No one would guess to look at them
2) They are proud of

I do this all the time at potluck tables. I added (2) because people would think I was asking them to reveal personal secrets, like they got two days out of a pair of socks. I was looking more for "I climbed Mt. Whitney" or "I have a tattoo from my days in the Peace Corps".

I need help thinking of a tattoo idea please?
Q. I love video games, women, life, cars, poker, fire, skulls, and things in general like that, any ideas of what i could get?

A. Dont get a tattoo if you arent even sure

A. Kirkland murder suspect says he blacked out, woke up among victims' bodies
By Noel S. Brady and Erica Hall
The King County Journal
July 21
The 24-year-old man arrested in the brutal stabbings of four members of a Kirkland family told police he awoke in his neighbor's home Monday morning covered in blood, with their butchered bodies strewn around him. Conner Michael Schierman said he had blacked out some time Sunday morning after a binge of heavy drinking, documents filed Thursday in King County Superior Court say.

When he awoke to the carnage that was left, he said, he panicked and doused the house with gasoline and set it ablaze to conceal his crime.

A judge Thursday set bail for Schierman at $4 million. On Monday, prosecutors plan to file charges of arson and four counts of aggravated first-degree murder in the deaths of Olga Milkin, her two young boys, Justin and Andrew, and her sister, Lyuba Botvina.

Schierman could face the death penalty if convicted.

But even as Schierman, a 2000 graduate of Newport High School, appeared in shackles in a King County courtroom, a portrait drawn from interviews with friends and employers emerged of a vastly different person - a young man described as caring, introspective, a nice guy and a gentleman.

But drinking - and blackouts - were also part of that portrait.

Meanwhile, as Kirkland police continued their investigation on Slater Avenue Northeast, where Schierman recently moved into a duplex directly across from the Milkins' home, Sgt. Leonid Milkin made his first visit home.

Just in from Iraq where he has been serving with the Washington National Guard, Milkin arrived about noon Thursday at the charred remains of the house he and his wife Olga had been remodeling. Still wearing his combat fatigues, he entered the building with investigators.

In his own writings on the Internet, Schierman reveals himself as "a product of divorce and abuse," and a friend said his father was alcoholic.

He also wrote of his own recent struggle with alcoholism followed by a period of deep self-examination and recovery. His words hint at his inner turmoil, but they offer no warning of what prosecutors believe was about to explode.

"I don't know if there is something below the surface," said Senior King County Deputy Prosecutor Scott O'Toole. "We're still trying to figure that out.

"As far as I know right now, he's the only suspect," O'Toole said. "He admits to setting the fire. He admits to leaving the victims' house covered in blood."

At 6 feet and 210 pounds, Schierman shuffled into a small courtroom Thursday afternoon at the King County Jail in Seattle, wearing handcuffs, leg irons and special, white jail uniform emblazoned with the words "Ultra Security Inmate."

Several of his dozen or so friends and relatives who came to see his first court appearance broke down in tears and held each other as Schierman rounded a corner to face the judge.

"It's a very tragic case," said defense attorney James Conroy. "He has support from the community. He has had no involvement with the criminal justice system whatsoever."

Investigators first declared the house fire a crime scene a few hours after the flames were extinguished Monday, when a fire dog detected the presence of some type of fuel accelerant in several areas of the house.

At least two witnesses who said they saw Schierman outside the house shortly before the fire erupted helped lead police to him, O'Toole said.

They identified Schierman by his tattoos and several prominent scratches on his face, which he sustained when his victims tried to fight him off, the prosecutor said.

The King County medical examiner found defensive wounds on the hands and arms of all four victims, O'Toole said. Milkin, her sister and 5-year-old son Justin each were found with numerous stab wounds to their face and neck areas. Three-year-old Andrew's throat was slit.

"The damage done to the victims and their bodies was pretty horrendous and complete," O'Toole said.

Police served a search warrant Wednesday at Schierman's residence directly across the street from the Milkins' house. Schierman was then arrested in the Rose Hill area.

According to court documents, police recovered a knife when they arrested him. But it was unclear if police believe it to be a knife used in the murders. No description of the knife was available.

Meanwhile, friends and co-workers struggled to comprehend the possibility that a man they knew as thoughtful and hard-working could be arrested for such brutal crimes. Though some knew of his drinking problem, no one ever thought he could be capable of such violence.

"He's a really nice guy. He's definitely a gentleman. Always opened the doors for people," said a friend who asked that she not be named. "As far as I can tell they have the wrong guy."

Sue Gemmill, the property manager at Carillon Properties in Kirkland, where Schierman has worked since February 2005, called him "a really good employee. ... We're just as shocked as everybody else in the community."

His former employer Carl McGavran, manager of Sierra Fish and Pets in Factoria, said Schierman was a good worker, but had a drinking problem that eventually spiraled out of control.

Schierman was drinking so much he was blacking out, and he stopped showing up for work. "He didn't come into work for a week or more and he knew that was that. At some point after that, he went into rehab," McGavran said.

From rehab, Schierman went to a halfway house, where he apparently did quite well. McGavran didn't see Schierman during that time, but the two shot pool together recently. Schierman appeared to be staying clean.

"Probably the last three times we've shot pool, he didn't drink a drop," McGavran said.

He said Schierman didn't mention that anything was bothering him. "He talked to me about his job and he seemed to be really happy about the work. Some guy was showing him the ropes," he said.

He said Schierman also seemed excited to be moving into the duplex at 9523 Slater Ave.

Police don't know, or won't say, if Schierman had any contact with Olga Milkin or any of the other victims prior to the murders.

After months of problems with his previous tenants, complaints from Milkin and other neighbors of loud partying and fast driving finally led the landlord to evict the residents of both units in the modest, gray duplex.

About two months ago, Schierman's younger sister, Kinsey, and her friend Sean Winter moved into one of the units. Schierman moved in about a month later on July 1, the landlord said.

The problems, and complaints, stopped. After the amount of partying that had been going on at the house before, neighbors said, they were happy that Schierman seemed quiet and well-mannered.

Schierman's landlord said Olga Milkin spoke to the man at least once before.

"She had spoken to him. I don't know to what extent," said the landlord who spoke on condition he not be identified.

Milkin told him she liked the new tenants, including Schierman. She said she offered him the use of her row boat on nearby Forbes Lake.

"He told me he was clean and sober," he said of Schierman. "He had good references, no criminal problems.

"It's hard to believe that somebody that appeared so good could turn on a dime like that."

Olga's husband, Leonid, arrived at the neighborhood Thursday in a black civilian SUV just before noon.

He stopped at the memorial in front, got out and looked at the photos and flowers, surrounded by family members. Shortly afterward, he got back in the car, which was driven by a family friend, and left the area.

John Petrus, Olga's brother-in-law, said the Army and his family are helping Leonid.

"The family is staying together," he said.

In the USA are the emergency rooms in all hospitals taken up by Mexicans, Pakistanis, and other immigrants who?
Q. don't pay health care?

Here in the UK although we have free healthcare under the National Health System, it is overloaded by use from 3rd world immigrants

A. Interesting question. I had to go to E.R. two days in a row, last month (serious allergic reaction they couldn't get under control).

I live close to an Indian Reservation (Native Americans). We have a very large influx of Hispanics here right now, tending all the berry fields for winter. We also have a very large Indian (from the country India) population here.

There were probably 50 people at the E.R. There was one Native American woman there, who had either been beat up, or was in a car accident. She was really bruised up, poor thing.

Other than that, everyone else was white.

I'd say for every single legitimate emergency patient there however, one of the people there was simply seeking drugs (pain meds).

The white father who was there with his white daughter (about 3 yrs old) got very poor service in my opinion. The child really was very ill. Completely limp and obviously running a really high fever. That Dad had been there six hours without being seen. In my opinion, that little child should have been seen much faster. I can only assume it was because of all of the father's obvious gang/prison tattoos, the way he was dressed (gang clothes) and his general body language. I must say though, he never lost his cool, never shouted, never swore, but the staff was obviously put off by him, which meant his daughter didn't get fair/timely care.

I would say at least 50% of the the people in the waiting room (even though they were white) were not paying health care costs. Many were on welfare, and many were indigent. One elderly bum came in just before I was taken back. The staff greeted him by his first name and told him to have a seat. They didn't even check him in.

Personally, I don't think it's fair to judge someone by the color of their skin, and decide if they do, or do not pay their health care costs.

I know of one black plastic surgeon. If you ran into him on the weekend, you would probably think he was a gardener, or even a street person, because of his clothes. Of course you'd also be really confused when you saw him get into his $90,000 car. He just happens to be one of those men who likes his old, tatty, comfortable clothes, and wears them on weekends. During the week, it's suits costing thousands of dollars.

P.S. I remember one of my patients. A very elderly white woman. She looked poor as a church mouse. Support hose puddled around her ankles, old shoes, cat's eye glasses repaired with a bit of wire, a formerly nice, but now threadbare coat. I was making a mental note to ask the doctor to give her plenty of samples, since I didn't think she could easily afford medication.

Then I took her registration paper, and started to get her entered. She lived in such an exclusive area of Seattle, the houses do not even have house numbers.

So her address looked something like this:
Mrs. Tittlemouse
The Highlands
Seattle, WA

She and I then began to chat about gardening. She told me about her Olympic sized swimming pool in her backyard. She had it filled in with dirt, so she could grow her tomatoes there, because the slugs didn't like to cross the concrete around it.

What are some good young adult novels?

Q. I don't like overly cheesy romance stories. I enjoyed the Twilight series. I like novels that feature a witty main character, something funny but not cheesy-hilarious.

Now that she?s wrangled a furnished guesthouse in Beverly Hills, it?s only a matter of time before she?s discovered. Unless she isn?t.Becca is dysfunctional. At least, her family is. They know she needs to fall in love.Dreams are complicated. They almost never turn out like you imagine?they almost always change. Sometimes, they change you.

Sexually abused tattoo ideas???!?!?

Q. Ok so When i was 9 years old, i was sexually abused. Im currently seeing a therapist and I'm getting better. I want to get a tattoo that symbolizes that part of my life. To show that I'm a survivor. my problem is I don't know what tattoo I want to get. Do u have any creative ideas for a tattoo. I have an idea of just tattooing survivor but I want something to symbolize that. Oh and I'm 18.

A. teal is the awareness ribbon color, you could also get a kanji symbol for strength.

I was very close to getting an upside down panda on my shoulder blade
http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m1oxwkVkxK1rsd5qvo1_400.jpg

my father abused me when I was younger, and I fell into a depression from it, I battled depression for over 10 years, and it still comes back at times. The panda can symbolize depression and upside down is like turning yourself around from the depression.
I decided against it however, bc I wanted to move on from it all. Plus pandas are my favorite animals and I hate to think of them in a depressing way.

If you are religious, a simple teal cross with the word strength, or somethign might be a good idea.
If you want something intricate, Maybe a tree with a womans body as the trunk, with some blue leaves coming down or blowing in the wind.

a dove, with the awareness ribbon in its beak?,
example:

an infinity symbol with the ribbon like this but teal not pink

How about something that inspires you?

or a quote

give me life, give me pain, give me myself again

If you always watch the demons behind you, then you will never see the angels ahead.

If youre going through hell, keep going.

Awareness ribbon with angel wings would look nice too

What hair color is prettiest ?! 10POINTS**?
Q. Which hair color do you like the bestt?!10 points?

I'm a brunette and want to go lighter! which color do you think is prettiest thanks (: here is myfour option ideas : http://m.pinterest.com/rachalexandria1/hair-color-choices/

A. I get tons of compliments with my 4 natural colors, thank you!

Blondes vs. Brunettes.
Researchers/some guy in his basement working for Superdrug surveyed 1,000 men, determining that 54 percent of them would choose a brunette to be their wife. A minority 16 percent preferred blonde hair, while 30 percent of participants shrugged their shoulders and asked when they would have access to the free doughnut holes they were promised when they signed up for the study (the answer, sadly, was never).
Other useless information gleaned from this researcher: men think women with brown hair take better care of their appearance, make better cooks.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/howaboutthat/9950759/Why-being-blonde-might-not-be-so-fun-after-all.html
. . . .
Go lighter if you want to look older than your mom.

My church friend went blonde, or ash blonde, who knows, her orig. hair color was black, now she's older looking than her mom - 56. It didn't even go with her complexion, and she's hating every minute of it.
She's in her 30's. If you're getting bored with your hair, try to teach yourself to style your hair so you can be more unique. I can do mine 7 different ways a week, takes 2-10 mins. I've posted 60 photos in 25 months. If I can do it, so can you!

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.

Chemicals can enter the body through the skin.
> > > Hair dye chemicals linked to cancer
London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <
Google: Teen 'feared she would die' after reaction to hair dye
The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Halloween party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Its made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Its well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time.

Google: A 38-year old mother left in a coma after using hair dye. SHE DYED HER HAIR MANY TIMES BEFORE, USING THE SAME BRAND. The British woman who went into coma after a reaction to hair dye has died after a year. Updated 11-25-12. The woman suffered a heart failure, struggled for breath and became unconsciousness. Her family blamed paraphenylenediamine, a chemical found in hair colour. Her family has now called for paraphenylenediamine to be banned from home dye kits. In 2000, a 38-year-old Indian-origin woman from Birmingham, Narinder Devi, died after an allergic reaction to hair dye.

Google: January Jones: "My Hair Is Falling Out In Clumps" 1-28-13 To quote Joni Mitchell, "you don't know what you got till your thick hair is gone.

Google search: Salon hair dye horror stories. About 305,000 results (0.20 seconds) OR Google Salon Hair Dye Lawsuits. About 336,000 results (0.17 seconds) Dec. 2011
When it comes to hair care treatments, product use or visits to a salon or spa, the consumer must take responsibility to do their homework and be aware of all the risks involved.
Vanessa Minnillo Lachey: "I dated a guy once who wanted me to have blonde hair. Clearly, he was the wrong guy for me! I went to a lady who bleached my hair and it literally fell out. So, not only did I go back to my natural hair, I broke up with the guy!"

What jobs could i apply for??? Thanks
Thanks in advance

A. The one on your hand and the ones on your wrists are probably the problem.

The one on your foot can be covered up with shoes.
The one on your forearm can be covered up with a shirt (I had to do this for a previous job).
The one on the back of your neck can be covered up with hair.

When I worked at a restaurant/ food place, they didn't care about tattoos.
I work in construction, but in an office, but I don't think they care about the guys out there working that they have tattoos.

Can someone draw or show me a certain type of tattoo? ***QUICK and EASY Points***?
Q. I am looking for an ankle tattoo along the lines of this one at the top http://www.tattoodesign.com/gallery/related/animal_butterfly_butterflies_monarch_cute_sexy_feminine_girly_girlie_female_woman_women_girl_lady_ladies_pretty_beautiful_ankle_bracelet_7065/1 and maybe someone can enlarge it or maybe some could do a pretty looking ankle flower tattoo or something like the now very popular stars

Or if that doesn't work then maybe a website will do?

A. This is exactly what your tattoo artist is for! This is their job! Take that picture to your artist and tell him/her that you like the style, and you want this image, and that color etc. and see what they come up with.
Otherwise, find a flower that you love, not a 'tattoo flower', and your artist will turn it into a custom design just for you.

Best place for a female to get a tattoo?

Q. I want to get a tattoo of a quote, but really don't know where to put it. I was thinking on my side, but my boyfriend thinks that looks trashy. Where can I put it so its classy looking and easy to conceal?

A. I think tattoos for women look best on the lower hip or really upper thigh area. That was you can wear shorts to cover it up. like if you are playing volleyball or something one the beach you can wear a bikini top and shorts and it will still be covered.

Gay man lost for Halloween.?

Q. I am a Gay male 32 yrs old, thought I would go for the kat Voon D look for Halloween but not sure this party is going to be the place to sport that. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I could wear. I have full sleeve tattoo's on both arms. I am 6'1" 176 lbs light brown close cut hair with green eyes. I consider myself attractive told I have the eyes and eye lashes of a woman. I really want to something feminine and just currently have no ideas on what to wear, make or buy.

A. Do this...
Either the Doll or the ventriloquist.

A man needs change of style & look. Need ladies suggestions.?
Q. I'm bored with myself on the way I look. Looks like a "mama boy" and 10 years younger. I'm a grown man but I feel like people don't respect me cause I look so "young". I guess this is a "curse" for Asians?
I want some change to look more "mature" (early 30s, as my age) and have have more appeal. What do you ladies suggest? Is "bad boy" look give more appeal? First thing to change probably the hair (other than clothing). Is there any website that can suggest or we choose from different hairstyles to see if it's good/suitable for our face type?
@queen: thanks for the suggestion. forgot to tell that i like wearing jeans, t-shirt, and flip flops. i guess that one of the problem, need to get rid of my t-shirts and change into more casual shirts?. and i have a tattoo actually since few months back (one of the move i made for changing, i guess), on upper right arm, though most of the time it's hidden under shirt sleeve. though i'm thinking of making it longer (up to just above elbow so to show it a little bit).

@kanjipop: i guess i'm too old for that style and it's too extreme for me. either it looks too scary or too gay :)

A. The bad boy look is appealing to some women, but not people in general. You should go for modern with an edge. Think faded bootcut jeans with a long sleeve button up, with a cool jacket or sweater over that and black boots. Any trendy male clothing store can help you with that. You hair should be more short, it looks attractive on Asain males. Like so: http://www.hairstyles.info/images/gallery/iStock_000003062691XSmall.jpg
http://z.about.com/d/mensfashion/1/0/J/d/FauxHawk6.jpg
http://media.photobucket.com/image/asian%20men%20hair%20styles/bentleighhanna/ze%20hair/780x780aspx.jpg
Print one you like and take it to your barber.

And it may just be me, but a tattoo could help roughen up your image. I think they are attractive on men.
