What do you think of women with one tattoo on their upper arm?

Q. Women with tattoos on their upper arms? I have 1 tat on the outside of my calf, right leg and I want 2 get 2 more, the one I already have has to do with my kids...the 2 I want to get in 1 that has to do with my mom and dad and then the other 1 is something to do with my grandkids. Well the delima that I am having is that I do not want the tattoos on my back because I never show my back or even my shoulder blades. So I am trying to figure out where I can put the other 2 that I want. I know one of them I want to put on the outside of my calf on my left leg but just don't know about the other one. I have been thinking about having one on my upper arm but have heard that is kinda butch. I am a pretty big tom-boy and HATE to dress up but I am DEFINATELY not butch, not that I have anything against that because my best girl friend is but I just don't know if I will like it there.

So everyone let me know what you think? If it's just one tattoo would that look good????
Just wanted to add that I am 40 so the old comments would probably apply to me and also my job does allow it and I do not have to dress up, I wear jeans and t-shirts, sweatshirts and sweaters all the time
The tattoo artist I will be using is a male so I can't go to a female artist and get their opinion. I will stay with the same one because he is AWESOME and does everything free hand and is still awesome and also the cleanest person I have ever seen in my life and does all the cleaning with you right there so you know EVERYTHING is done right..yea going to stay with the same guy to do any of my tatoos, even if I moved away I think I would still come back here!! His name is Scott and he is located at Lure Tattooing in Vienna West Virgina. He is AWESOME!

A. I generally find tatoos on the upper arm of women unclassy. If such a woman tries to dress up, they look trashy to me.

Q. I want to get a tattoo on my upper arm signifying me it would be feminine and colorful. I dont mind the fact that it would show but i dont want to look trashy and i need opinions! I cant imagine where else i can put it... Help!

A. I love tattoos, they can be very artistic and creative, however i do not like tattoo's on woman's arms, i do think they look very manly and a little trashy. There are plenty of other places you can get one: lower/upper back, stomach, thigh, foot. But at the end of the day it's your choice, your body and there is nothing wrong with a little body art wherever you like it ;)

Question for women with upper arm tattoos / sleeves...?

Q. ... do you tend to pick tops based on whether it matches the tattoo(s) or not, or do you just wear whatever like you did before?

I've had tattoos on both upper arms for a little while but last week got quite a big one which, along with the other two on that upper arm, fills up the majority of it. Now I've had that done I suddenly find myself thinking "Oh that top looks rubbish now" and more restricted in what I wear! I never thought I would pay much attention because as far as I'm concerned it's just a part of my skin and you don't pick clothes to match your freckles or birthmarks do you! Maybe it's just because it's so new that I'm very aware of it, I don't know. They're all black and grey though so I don't have the colour issue, but for just styles and patterns clashing. Did any of you feel this when you first had large work done on your upper arms or were you normal about it from the start?


Oh and the usual disclaimer... this is not an opportunity to spread your negative opinions about tattoos, tattoos on arms, tattoos on women, whatever. Either answer the question or take your ignorance elsewhere!
Haha chest pieces would also come under this!! It's weird though, when I see a chest piece or arm tattoo or whatever on another woman I never think 'Hey that clashes with your top!', it always seems to work! I think I'm just too paranoid when it comes to my own image ha!

A. Hey Mama! I have two full sleeves, and both are very different, so I wouldn't be able to match my tops with my tattoos. My left arm has a lot of reds, oranges, blues, and yellows. My right arm is mostly green, yellow and brown, so it's too difficult to match!

Its people which destroyed th breed the the dogs themselves. when the dogs fall into the wrong hands those are they ones that get aggressive

A. I like the tattoo idea. I think it will translate well into ink. And I hate people that train dogs to be mean. Most pit bulls I know are as gentle as kittens. That is an awesome tribute to pit bulls. :)

And I love upper arm tattoos. On both men and women. My husband and I both have upper arm tattoos.

Guys, do you think tattoos on women are attractive or are they a turn off?

Q. Hey guys I have recently been looking for tattoo ideas and on one blog I notice a few negative comments from guys. I currently have 3 tattoos. A butterfly on my upper arm, roses from my hip to my thigh, and a swirly design on my shoulder. I like to think of these as very feminine tattoos. I would just like to know what is your opinion of tattoos on women?

A. There will be guys that love them, and guys that hate them. It is all a matter of personal preference. You can't please everyone all the time, so why try? I love tattoos on women, the more tattoos the better. Before I got my sleeve, I would gawk at and compliment women with visible tattoos. They are the ones that inspired me to decorate my own body. I find I get alot of male attention due to my tattoos. Before my sleeve, I was a plain Jane that never got male attention. After my sleeve, I had something beautiful and unique about me. They are a great conversation piece. Both men and women come up to me and strike up conversations about them. I even inspired my mother in law to get her first tattoo at age 55. I say get as many as you want. Some people buy pretty paintings and hang them in their houses. We buy pretty artwork and put it in our skins. Best of luck to you and happy inking!

A. I don't think that it would be too much. Just remember that you do have other skin, and take into account having the tattoo on any part of your body and seriously consider all of your options. That really helps me decide on where to put it. But if you are set on your arm then go right ahead. It is your arm after all, nobody else's.

Can I still get a sleeve tattoo with keratin pilaris?

Q. It causes small bumps on my upper arms. Over the years, it has left some scarring, but when it is at its best, you can't really feel it just notice an uneven tone. Will this effect getting a sleeve tattoo?

A. You will still be able to get a sleeve tattoo, and it will look good. I'm getting mine done in March and I also have KP. Ive seen pictures of women who have gotten tattooed over KP and you can not tell it's there. But they all had full sleeves without any space.
Also I recommend using acne wash on your arms to smooth it out and reduce redness, I use Clean & Clear acne wash. KP isn't acne but Keratin becomes trapped under the skin and also traps hair on your arms and causes the pimple like bumps on your arms. The acne wash removes the top layers of skin thus smoothing out the bumps.

Ladies, on what part of a guy is a tattoo most attractive?

Q. The most popular responses I seem to get is chest, upper middle back, and in the middle of the upper arm inside toward the body between the biceps and triceps. What do you think?

A. Dislike all tattoos honestly, no matter where,what of, or who they're on. Unless your military or ex-con it just screams "wannabee tough guy". It looks horrible when you get older. Not to mention it limits your dating options, I guess if all you really want is one night stands it's ok, but it doesn't seem like marriage material to most serious women. It's not an original or unique thing, so many people have them. At this point in time they don't even catch your attention. Not to mention the diseases you could get, I've never found an upside to these things. You won't like my answer but it's an honest opinion.

One of my friends has the "Your name" tattoo on his butt.His mom has a rose tattooed on her right breast and shows it to anybody who asks to see it.Not just the tattoo but the whole breast.The tackiest however.One of my coworkers has a vagina tattoo on his neck.He has to wear turtlenecks when we have company visit the plant so he doesnt offend anyone.
