Have muslims got the right idea having their large tattooed women covered from head to foot?

Q. artic T : What the hell are you on about.

A. Yes ..exactly the right idea ... muffin tops and porridge legs need to be well-hidden .... Nuns have been doing the decent thing for years ... their big crucifix tattoo on the base of their spine is better covered up I think ....

good idea for a tattoo?
Q. http://www.flickr.com/photos/65800237@N05/7578392408/in/photostream

with "the only way out is through" over top of the flower curving down in fancy letters?
and where would be a good place to put it? i was thinking my should or top of my foot

A. Hard to find a tatt that enhances a woman's femininity [assuming that's a concern]. A small flower...maybe. Text, never!
No point in turning your body into a billboard for a quote that may sound profound now, but in a few years may just seem naive and cliched [and you might as well get it on your cheek as your neck].

Any ideas for a tattoo to represent being an exotic dancer.?

Q. I love what I do, but I've about had my year in the field and don't want to push anything. I want a tattoo to represent this part of my life. I lived and learned from it. I don't want some trashy "tramp stamp" or something obvious.

A. I like the pinup idea, but I was thinking of a small silhouette tattoo, someplace discreet, like your hip. Because it would be filled in black, you could do it fairly small and not have to worry about details smudging. It could be of a woman leaning with her back against the pole, maybe one knee raise with the foot against the pole...

Also, a Lady Luck silhouette would work...

What breast cancer tattoo should I get?
Q. I'm 19 years old, and my mom is my world. She was just recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Every woman in my family for the last five generations, excluding myself for now, has been diagnosed with breast cancer. I would like to get a tattoo in honor of my mother and all of my family member who have battled with breast cancer. I was thinking of getting a Jesus fish with a pink ribbon intertwined on my foot. Does anyone else have any ideas? I would really appreciate them.

A. Think before you pink! You and your family are so much more than a dang pink ribbon! Your mother is so much more than a disease! If you wish to get a tattoo that honors your family, leave out the pink ribbon and get something that represents their lives and not their illness!

A family tree comes to mind . . .

Tattoo design ideas to represent my son?

Q. In August I will give birth to my first, a boy, and I had always kinda thought I would get a small set of baby feet to represent it but now I am having second thoughts about it. I want something to represent how blessed and lucky I feel to have him and how no matter what happens throughout his life he will in a sense always be with me. So do you have any tattoo design ideas that would help me achieve this? Thank you so much!

A. This is kind of along the same lines of just general baby feet but a little more personal.
One time, I saw a woman who had tattoos of the footprints that were from the birth certificate on her feet. His left was on her left foot, and right on right. It was like the regular baby feet but cuter because they were actually his footprints.
It was a really neat idea.
I'm sure anything representing your son will be sweet though.

What is a good place for a last name tattoo on women?
Q. So my dilemma is that I have 9 tattoos already. I have one on my foot, one on my ankle, one on the side of my leg, one on my wrist, one on each boob, one behind my ear, one on my shoulder and one on the back of my neck. I have plans to get a half sleeve on my right arm, and a tree and a date on on my right wrist. Now if you're gunna tell me tattoos are trashy go right ahead. I really do not care what you think, I just want opinions. I am not going to base my decision solely on the answers I receive on here. I have some ideas of my own as to where to get it, I just would like to see what other people think. All my tattoos have some sort of meaning to me, I don't get a tattoo just for the sake of getting a tattoo. The reason I have chose my last name is because no matter what it will always be apart of me. Even if I get married I will still have a connection to my last name.
If you're going to give me stupid answers don't even bother answering. Grow up.

A. People can be so rude and opinionated about tattoos these days. As long as they mean something to you, it doesn't matter what anyone else says

For a name tattoo it depends on how the writing style is going to be. Personally if I were to do my last name I would have it written like this
L
A
S
T
N
A
M
E

down the side of my back, just on the edge of being on the side.
Then I could add swirl and shadow accents around the edges going downward (helps elongate my body shape as I am quite petite)

Where should I get my ambigram tattooed at?

Q. I am wanting to get a tattoo of an ambigram one way saying strength upside down it will say courage. I wanted it on the inside of forearm however since I am going to apply for a dental hygiene program I feel as if this would hurt my chances in the feild. any other ideas of where I should put it where I can hide it if I need for a job? I already have one of my inner ankle, and I am a women. also, what do you think of this tattoo idea? thanks!

A. If you really want it on the inside of your forearm I say go for it. You can always wear a 3/4 length sleeve shirt underneath your scrubs. If you don't like that, you can get it on the upper inside of your arm. You can get it on your side or on the top of your foot.

What is a good spot on my husbands body for the tattoo of my name?
Q. First of all, don't get judgemental, this is our decision and we are sure about it. we are getting married this summer and he knows where he wants his name on my body...that is easy because i am a woman.

but i don't know what an appropriate place on a man's body is, especially for a NAME... also, he is a policeman so he can't have it showing out of his uniform. please help me think!

A. Id def say get it on his chest! I think thats like the sexiest place on a man. My boyfriend got an M on his arm for me (and didnt tell me til after!), and i really wish he would have gotten it on his chest.
I know you dont wanna hear it, but I think a name isnt the best idea. Id suggest getting a picture or design that is symbolic to you and your relationship. That way if something happens along the road and you two do break up, he can play it off.
I got a tattoo of a shooting star on my foot for my boyfriend. I rarely see shooting stars. But I saw one on our first date, and another the day he asked me out. So it has alot of meaning but it is not as completely blatant as a name but we both know what it is.
