What's the animated song that has an old man with black wings tattooing a heart? The animation almost looks 3D?

Q. The main line of the music is piano. It shows a story of a man and a woman in love and they take a trip to the carnival. The woman ends up cheating on the man with the circus clown so he kills himself. After he's crumpled on the pavement a large old man pulls his heart out with his cane. Throughout the entire video the old man is tattooing the events that led to the man's death on his heart.

need some relationship advice?
Q. i have been with my current partner for 10 years, we are engaged with a 2yr old child.
my reason for not being married yet is financial and situational. we have spent 9 of the 10 years basically in debt and needing to live with other people.

we met in computer 3d class when we were 20. we both have artistic backgrounds.

the main source of our problems at the moment is that she feels I'm not the same person i was when we met, i have almost nothing to do with art anymore and my focus is 'money'. which is true.

from my point of view, art was never going to buy us a home let alone keep the debt collectors at bay. so two years ago i quit my graphic design job and asked my father to teach my his trade. i now (as of xmas 2010) have been working for myself and making decent money. i've managed to pay off a lot of debt, buy a decent, safe and reliable family car, update some needed household items etc.. the payoff however has been my time.

i work a job that is either all or nothing, being that if work is there, i need to take it cos it may not be there tomorrow. for example my last two weeks have gone like this, i worked 11 days straight, each day starting early (7-8am) and the earliest i would get home would have been around 7pm, 2am being the latest, only to get up the next morning and do it all again. i just took friday and saturday off, and i used it to take my parter to the movies, my child to the doctors and then saturday went shopping with them both. today being sunday i had to work again. and the cycle continues.

she feels i'm no longer the person she met, being that she met an artist.
i feel that since we now have a child it is my responsibility to provide for my family, i need to be able to be self sufficient to be able to provide all the things that families need etc.. I'm trying real hard to be able to balance this job with family life, as if my family goes then so does my reason for working so hard.

I'm trying to work 4 days a week (since the days are so long) and give myself a day to recover (as the job is quite physically demanding) and that allows 2 days to dedicate to my family and help around the house.

my main gripe with her is that she has basically given up, she demands a lot from me (time wise), she expects that when I'm home, having a day off work that i will take the load of the house and give her a break, when i really need the break myself.

she spends most of her time on an online computer game, she enjoys video editing so she uses the game to create videos.
she basically neglects most of the house hold things such as cleaning and cooking. I'm not a guy that expects the misses to cook and clean etc.. but i do believe that it's a team thing, and if one person is bringing home the bacon the other contributes by helping out with the other stuff.

she hates cooking and after work i have to cook most of the time, to which i enjoy but not after a 12 hour plus day.
dishes are never done, clothes are never washed i don't understand why helping out is so difficult.

she does look after our 2yr old, quite well i might add.
we placed our child in daycare 2 days a week, but she uses those days to play her online game uninterrupted.
i feel she spends too much time on her game and not enough time with day to day things.

she feels my expectations of a stay at home mum are too high, whereas i don't feel they are.
she feels i use the excuse "i work" as a trump card that she can't top, so she doesn't bother at all.

she also feels like she has lost her own sense of herself, in that, i have all the 'control' in the household and she just bows down and lets me have my way.
to which i disagree as everything I'm doing is for her, she just doesn't see it the same way.

she is trying to get back her own 'power', one way in which she is doing this is by getting a tattoo.
when we first started going out she mentioned she wanted to get a big arse tattoo down her arm. now unfortunately she's a heavy set woman and extremely pale skinned and as an artist i just know it won't look any good.

but on top of that, i have a phobia about permanent tattoo on one's skin. and i asked her to promise me that whilst we were together that she'd agree to never get a tattoo, because i can't handle it. (i also made mention that smoking was a deal breaker).

might sound harsh or some people might say controlling, but i feel that if i don't like asian women, then i simply don't date asian women, hence i hate tattoo's and smoking so i let her know before we got too serious.

so one night when she broke down, she made mention she has no control, not even if she gets a tattoo or not.
so i said, ok, fine.. you can do whatever you like. but you know how i feel about them.

so she is now deciding to get one, and looking for one. i've decided to help her find a good o
so she is now deciding to get one, and looking for one. i've decided to help her find a good one, cos i figure if she is going to get one it better be a damn good one. i know she wants a large one, that the world can see.. but i really need it to be something i can't see. (out of sight out of mind type of deal).
she wants its on her chest/shoulder.. basically above her breast but below her shoulder. and to me that's something i will see a lot of. i feel it will be a turn off when being intimate and could lead to further relationship problems.

i mentioned on her inner ankle (trying to keep it small and out of sight) she's thinking her wrist if not her chest, or her upper back. but again, when you hug/spoon with someone at night, it's again something that will repulse me.

so yeah, that's her way of being "in control" i guess.

i don't know what to do.

A. My dear friend, accept my congratulations as you are a wonderful husband material.Any woman can be proud of you.And it is always fate for such good man that he does not get good understanding partner.I am with you for not allowing a tattoo. It disfigures a woman.Even I hate a tattooed women. It may look odd and unusual but my suggestion is,as you are not married her,you can leave her.You wil be able to work and adjust your time, including rest, freely.Your mind will be at peace and without any tension. You can provide for her and your child. And anyhow you do not have house,

I want to be a tattoo artist, how?

Q. I am currently going to school to work as a designer in the video game industry. However I have been struggling with my classes in 3D and I have recently discovered the art of tattooing. I have two tattoos myself, both of which are of my own design. I would be very interested to pursue a career in tattoo, but I do not how now to go about doing this or if I would even be received well being a woman in a field dominated by men

A. I have four tattoos. My ex fiancee was a tattoo artist too, though he was freelance and used what you would call "jailhouse" style. I don't think you'll have a problem as a woman pursuing this, I know of quite a few women artists and I was interested at one time myself.. Personally, I think to be a great tattoo artist you should have talent and passion.. but then again, they have books for people to pick the design they want and those are basically stencils. But you said you have two of your own design, so you must have it! That makes a real tattoo artist. I've heard of some tattoo academies but I think there are other ways to get that certificate or license, whatever it is.. Being an APPRENTICE should be your first step.. find a good shop that you like and feel you'll get along with the person or people who work there. Maybe your apprenticeship will turn into a job. Good luck and be safe..

Tattoo's in the work place?
Q. I just saw a news report and the contraversy of tattoos in the work place and how some employers will not hire someone with visible tattoos. I am not totally in agreement with this. What about service men who have an insignia on their arm. Nothing wrong with being proud of being in the service. I have seen the tattoos " In memory of my brother _____" nothing at all offensive there. I have also seen beautiful 3D tattoos of someones child or pet. That is true art. Since when is art offensive? However, would you draw the line to someone that has skulls, swastikas, pictures of hitler, demonic symbols. What is the fine line between art and rubbish?

A. Unfortunately tattoos still have some stigma and are not considered "professional" by the mainstream. The mainstream employers have stereotypes about who gets tattoos. They are not all art. Would you want to see at work naked women, drugs. demons, antisocial statements............ Mine is covered by clothing unless I choose otherwise.

Which tattoo is better?

Q. I'm not getting the design of the butterfly just the way they are positioned and the way the shadow looks.

I am looking for a few ideas for a new tattoo?
Q. I am going to get a tattoo that stretches from my chest to my shoulder, wraps around the back of my shoulder, and goes down to my elbow. (if you've seen dwayne "the rock" johnsons tattoo it's about the size of it). but see the thing is, is that i'm not into tribal, i don't know my family crest, i'm not samoan, I don't like skulls, dragons, nothin like that. I am of course, going to look at the scetches when I get there, but I want to have an idea b4 i walk through the door. anyone got any ideas for me? thanx

A. any kind of fierce animal will do for you. like a bear, tiger, lion. things like that are common, like having the paw cutting into the skin on the chest and the rest going around the shoulder and down the back.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/27639042@N06/2575073253/
just like this pic but with a different animal.

if you are going to get a full tat like this i must tell you about the amazing tribal piece i've seen. its so majorly bad ass that i can't help it...and as it seems i cant find a decent picture of it anywhere. watch the movie. The Number 23 with Jim Carey. its a good show and an awesome tat.

okay back on subject though as your not into tribal.
if your not into tribal and your just not sure. may i suggest something mythical. like greeks gods or goddesses. the men can be strong and the women are very beautiful. you could do something like Poseidon with his trident rescuing a mermaid that is tied to an anchor or caught in a net. just shooting ideas here....if you feel like the "whole world is on you" you could get Atlas, he was condemned to carry the Earth on his back. You could get the Muses, very beautiful women that represent talent and where people get their inspiration from. i think there are eight and they represent agriculture, arts, astronomy/science, commerce, education, industry, justice, and law.

if not mythical then you could do Zodiac like the rock did. tell the artist that you want a Zoadic tattoo that is masculine and simialr to The Rock's.

Do nice girls finish last? And do men really like b*tches?

Q. I consider myself overall to be a "good girl". I have high respect and confidence about myself that humbles me; I'm kind to others but not a pushover; ambitious, fun, has a set of goals and hobbies; and I'm not easy but can be flirty and mannered and polite. As much as I am enjoying my single life, lately I've been jaded by men. I FEEL as if all guys are the same: some are soo interested in you and will do anything to be near you for one minute and the next, they don't like you; some will lie and believe they can get away with it; some just waste your time for attention bc they're either bored or lonely; and some will only be nice to you because they just want that one thing.

I just read "why men marry bitches" and it's soo empowering and i just realized that I have been th nice girl. And although that is a good atribute, it doesn't get you far. Reading that book has made me realize, women need to find their inner 8 yr old. At that age, boys were never a priority: it was all about getting good grades, reading my favorite books, excited to play my favorite sport during recess, or spending time with the girls playing/talking about barbies. I didn't care what people thought and I always put myself first. When a boy was mean to me, i was mean back; if he made fun of my barbies, i made fun of his trucks; if he insulted me, i insulted him back...if he did anything that was completely disrespectful, I completely ignored him and told him straight up to "never talk to me again bc he was a meanie". If he asked to borrow something and promised he'd give it back, I didn't believe him, called him a liar and didn't trust him. Now entering my mid 20s I look at women and realize how much we've changed from then. Everything is "male centered" - This book inspired me to be my 8 yr old self again: put myself first, be interested in my favorite sports/interests and if a guy ever disrespects me, I cut him off. Here's the thing where I'm torn: I don't want to "change" myself and be someone I'm not although, the book does give women the confidence to OPPOSE and OPENLY DISAGREE w. whatever a guy says or does. Growing up in an old fashioned environment, i've been raised to be "ladylike"...so maybe that's my problem. Maybe I can still be a "good girl" but have more confidence to say "no, I'm still gonna do what I want anyway no matter how much you disagree." and to stick w. your morals. Then I get confused bc this book says the truth how men will always play games or test out women...and I'm tired of games already. I thought if a guy was meant for you, it would all be natural and there wouldn't be game playing. I dated this guy (maybe age has to do alot w. it, he was 21). We went out (took me to dinner) and after that, he didn't call. My co-worker asked him and he said, "if she's really interested, she'd call me". He had a point BUT if he was really man and interested, he would've asked me to hang out again...he also started acting arrogant. It confused me bc I dated someone 5 yrs older when I was 21, he did just that. He called and initiated another meeting - no BS. I sound confused....thoughts?

A. Hello Helloooo Nurse.
You've posted variants of this post, more times than I've had hot dinners last month. =0)
I'm 'Old school' like yourself (but older) I understand what you're saying in your first paragraph & commend your parents & you for the line >>Growing up in an old fashioned environment, i've been raised to be "ladylike<< (what do your parents think of today's society)?, but I think you need to blame some of it on the demise of family values down the generations, peer pressure, society, sexual equality, the 'Sisterhood' the ladette culture etc-etc. I see young+ girls openly urinating or engaging in sex acts in the park at the bottom of my garden, in shop doorways etc (I think you get the picture) & this is in daylight, then there's the fighting, getting pi$$3d & puking everywhere - - - it is known that more females than males are arrested for drunk & disorderly conduct these days, they seem to have no shame.
I could go on - - but - -.
Perhaps this book you read should be introduced into the school curriculum for girls. (now awaiting a visit from the sexual equality board) but then that would be shot to hell, when parents dress their little 4yr old girls up sexually with playboy branded outfits & the like, then would up in arms complain if they attracted the attention of the local perv or where sexually active. Anyway - - back to your posting - - -
>>I FEEL as if all guys are the same<< Same could be said for women, but no we're NOT - - are we?.
>>some are soo interested in you and will do anything to be near you for one minute and the next, they don't like you;<< Yes, that is about 60% true, with others it's called the 'thrill of the chase', yes we will work hard to get you, then when we do - - - some will 'relax' so to speak & feel we don't need to try so hard.
>>some will only be nice to you because they just want that one thing.<< Players are like that, can spend months working on a 'mark' if it's an advantage, (money, sex, power)
>>some will lie and believe they can get away with it;<< (That also goes both ways) But then isn't that down to - - Tolerance, (letting them get away with little lies) - -Stupidity, (allowing the lies to escalate without check, or he/she can change) or - - Low self esteem - - (but "he/she loves me really, that's what love is')
>>some just waste your time for attention bc they're either bored or lonely;<< True! But again - Both sexes are guilty of this.
As for your headline - - >>Do nice girls finish last? And do men really like b*tches?<< I & many others could 'ASK' the same thing. There are plenty of women who've broken a good mans heart or family up (sometimes abandoning the kids too) due to their actions. Men (rich & poor) who've worshiped the ground, treated them nice, only for them to go of with the local tattooed biker or the likes.
My ex (Claire) of 6yrs (I' knew her for many years earlier) while with me, kept her options open & started a relationship with an abusive drug taking ex con (arson & burglary) who still robs people & (allegedly) had/has a unhealthy interest in children because - she said - WAIT FOR IT - - "he can change, he deserves a second chance" (yes she enjoyed telling me & rubbing my nose in it), Karma though - - within a month of us parting, she was pregnant, engaged & married in that order, let herself go,gave up her law degree courses, then lost her job in a big law firm, unhappy in an abusive marriage, struggling to keep a roof over her head, self esteem back to square one etc. Believe it or not though, I still love her & worry about her (& daughter) - - but - - hey-ho.
But Yes! there are good people with morals & standards out there for us Nurse, (a bit like virgins - eh)? =0) - We - - - - - just - have to - - keep looking.
Best wishes.

rambling thoughts...comment on my song please?
Q. these words are inspired from a vivid dream i had the other night.

"sharpie tattoos"

Im a feeling without a shadow
Don’t shine light I swear im allergic
Try to create me a friend
And find failure’s the only option
I said, you said, they said
The sun is god among all
Like a titan, a vigilante deity
We decide, commit deicide
Are there cracks forming in my atoms?
My skin is leaking electricity
Fortune tellers foretold this light show
Doctors will stitch the fissures

Any moment we’ll tear down these walls?
Any moment these walls will close in on us?

A bridge that links my memories
Past, present, future leads
To sharpie tattoos connecting
The murals painted on my arms
I see your beauty laid out in henna
A visual woman such as yourself
Can paint my eyes in three dimensions
Deep blue in 2D…too deep in 3D
Music drives into my ears on the dance floor
Like a marionette my feet will alternate
Under the spin light
My life goes beat beat beat

Will we tear down these walls?
Will these walls close in on us?

Like the crowd I’m moving among
My courage is bought from behind a bar
It has a taste and a bite
Like a devil in disguise
I pray when I wake it’s still just a dream
That these sharpie tatts don’t fade away
Like the history I’ve left behind
But my dancing will pass the time
I’m short in change for a phone booth taxi call
Walking can be such a drag
But if it’s a full moon the man will fall
Down to home
And his decent is orchestrated by passing star lights

Tear down these walls
Don’t let them close in on us
just a little more info for you. lyrics aren't suppose to flow like a story or pertain along a specific subject line. its based on a dream i had that was full of randomness. i found little truths throughout the dream, hence the lines that jump around, like my dream did.

oops haha....

A. YOu have lots of meaningful lines in here. They are amazing. But sometimes they don't quite fit with the song. But you said in the question *rambling thoughts* so the lines in Sharpie tattoos fit together for you. I like every line in her. They are really deep. When I tried to picture a music video I saw it skipping to different scenes all schizophrenic. So Sharpie Tattoos could be about a schizophrenic.

Over all the lines are amazing. YOu did tend to go off topic but as you said they are rambling thoughts. :)

A. no hablo ingles

I want to be a tattoo artist, how?
Q. I am currently going to school to work as a designer in the video game industry. However I have been struggling with my classes in 3D and I have recently discovered the art of tattooing. I have two tattoos myself, both of which are of my own design. I would be very interested to pursue a career in tattoo, but I do not how now to go about doing this or if I would even be received well being a woman in a field dominated by men…

Buy or Sell: David Fincher is the master of making the scariest non-horror films?

Q. Perhaps creepy would be a better word than scary, but regardless, I find that his films creep me out more than any horror film. The scene in Zodiac in the potential Zodiac killer's basement is suspense at it's finest, and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo slowly gets freakier. Even his "lighter" films (The Social Network) have these dark atmospheres to them.

He's definitely one of my favorite filmmakers.

BQ: Does anybody really consider Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, and War Horse to be better than The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo? If so, why?

A. Absolutely agreed! I wouldn't go so far as to call him the "master" since I haven't seen every non-horror film to pass judgement. But definitely yeah, he's experimented lots too, but one thing's clear--he's never strayed away from the creepy atmospheric feel every movie of his has. I completely agree with you on that. Fincher’s films have been about the pathologies of men. From Fight Club to Zodiac to Se7en, he looked at the darker side of their nature, he’s reveled in it. He even managed to make a movie about Facebook’s founder feel creepy, urgent, and disturbing. But not since he directed Sigourney Weaver in Alien3 and now, Rooney Mara; has his “dangerous pit bull” been a woman. I've seen Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and it's got everything you expect from a Fincher-movie. I preferred the Swedish version, but Fincher did justice to the Millennium book, so I can't complain (apart from the ending change).

He's one of my favourite filmmakers too. If anything I'd call him a perfectionist, because of the number of 'takes' he does to perfect a scene. I think it's brilliant when someone takes their work very seriously not "take one, ok that's done let's pack up and leave". He strives to entertain, with every frame in each film. Can't help but admire him. :)

BQ: War Horse and ELIC do not deserve to be on the list of "Best Motion Picture", period. Heck yes, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo was better! Hell, Drive, Shame, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2, Rise of the Planet of the Apes-- were all better and had more "meat" than War...and ELIC. I'm sorry, but I simply don't get the ELIC nom. I get the usual Spielberg recognition in the category (if it's not best director, then best film), I'm not against nominating the usual "veterans" if their movies were genuinely good. I mean, Fincher at least deserved a best director nod. And Scorsese tried his hand in 2 new genres he was completely unfamiliar with 3D and kids. At least he tried to push the envelope. I'm sorry if I'm being a bit harsh, but Spielberg staunchly insists on finding a happy ending even in the calamity of the First World War, but that he slathers it on so thick and leaves so soft an impression. It has the usual Spielberg customary flair but never reaches greatness due to it being syrupy and proudly sentimental. It's like when you have a kid that keeps getting A* at a essay, but then gets a B and he wonders why? It's because on his standards, he could've been better, been more innovative, pushed some boundries. Spielberg's that kid. I know I didn't really answer the BQ very well, lol. I just get mad when I think about War Horse and remember how amazing so many other movies were and deserve some recognition and praise for their hard work :/

But Yes! there are good people with morals & standards out there for us Nurse, (a bit like virgins - eh)? =0) - We - - - - - just - have to - - keep looking.
Best wishes.

where on my body should i get this tattoo?

Q. http://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com/tumblr_l3musl3VTu1qajm78o1_1280.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=0RYTHV9YYQ4W5Q3HQMG2&Expires=1276392526&Signature=1cxcTnftRUhaSCuJSR4H%2B5tWR8E%3D
the artist is using this picture to work with, so it wont look exactly like this, but you get the idea
I am a woman, 5'7 130 lbs (just so you know i'm average size). I DONT want legs, stomach, chest, or lower back done. I'd like it to be somewhat hideable as well. Not sure on size yet, that really depends on placement. I don't want to go bigger than like 6 inches though.

none of this "this is going to be on the body for the rest of your life" crap, please. I've made the appointment and i'm getting it done on MY body.

A. i would say on your hip, so that it could be ALMOST but not really covered by underwear or bathing suit bottoms.. that way, you can see it whenever, but it isn't like, fully in sight all the time :)

but if you want to show it off, maybe like right in the middle of your back, below your shoulders but like above your lower back... or maybe on your foot or on your ribs (either under your breasts or more beside them).

those are my ideas! :) have fun

where on my body should i get this tattoo?

Q. http://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tumblr.com/tumblr_l3musl3VTu1qajm78o1_1280.jpg?AWSAccessKeyId=0RYTHV9YYQ4W5Q3HQMG2&Expires=1276392526&Signature=1cxcTnftRUhaSCuJSR4H%2B5tWR8E%3D
the artist is using this picture to work with, so it wont look exactly like this, but you get the idea

:) have fun

Finchers films have been about the pathologies of men. From Fight Club to Zodiac to Se7en, he looked at the darker side of their nature, hes reveled in it. He even managed to make a movie about Facebooks founder feel creepy, urgent, and disturbing. But not since he directed Sigourney Weaver in Alien3 and now, Rooney Mara; has his dangerous pit bull been a woman.
