Q. I have three tattoos already and I am getting more. Im only 19. People keep yelling at my mother for letting me get tattoos. And other people are yelling at me for getting them. Personally I love them, and I can get tattoos if I want to

A. there is no difference between men and women having tattoos. it really annoys me when people say that men can have them but it is trashy, ugly or gross for women to have them. you are 19 years old and legally can make the decision to get them regardless of what your mother wants. so to those people your mom should let them know that you are not a child and you can do what you want with your own body.
as for the people who are griping at you for getting tattoos, remind them that your body is yours and unless you try to put tattoos on THEIR bodies without their permission, they should mind their own business!

are women/girls with tattoos whores?

Q. i am a 14 year old girl, and i keep hearing things that females with tattoos are like whores or biker chicks...i am only gettting one small one to symbolize my ability to overcome a rape...and i dont want people to think im a whore or something.....what should i do?

A. Women with tattoos are not automatically whores...nor are we biker chicks (not that there is anything wrong with being a biker chick at all).

Close minded people are going to look down at women with tattoos because let's face it we tattooed women have the confidence in ourselves that they wish they had.

Why else would these people worry so much about what someone else does with their body?

Q. Ok. Now I posted this question yesterday. I am over weight 5'6 and 210lbs. I am getting a tattoo. Where should I get it. No, I wont go by my spine, I have lots of freckles, and I want it somewhere where I can hid it because I am a business major. And I am not going to loose weight to get my tattoo. I have been chubby my whole life except when I was like 5 and I dont have time to do it anyway. What do you think? Be honest. Call me fat. I am and i dont care, I just want honest opinions about fat women with tattoos.
I dint mean should they I meant where should I get it.

Q. Females with lots of tattoos: Who are they as an expression? Give me some samples of what a tattoo expresses about one self and why would a female need to express who they are with tattoos? I am trying to not be judgemental.

A. KAT VON D from LA ink has a tattoo of her mother, her favorite composer Beethoven i believe, they are portraits- she also has a huge hollywood name tattoed on her for her love of hollywood- so as far as i am concerned it is an expression of who she is- many have tattoos of things they like/words that have symbolic meaning in their life- quotes are tattooed on many- so are flowers which symbolize growth- tattoos arent just about marking your body- but marking your body with things you love/things that remind you of good times in your life/good people in your life-

a person with a lot of tattoos likes artwork-
doesnt mean he/she is ugly or rude or slutty or crazy-
many celebrities have tattoos-
even some people in corporate america-
long time ago prostitutes and sailors had tattoos-
now many of all walks of life get them-
they are expensive too many can't afford a lot-

Would you feel comfortable having your daughter date a guy who had the playboy bunny logo tattooed on his back?

Q. And a naked woman tattooed on his chest. And also a tattoo of Che Guevara?

I ask because I'm 17, and my boyfriend is 18, and my parents feel really uncomfortable about his tattooes.
That's where my parents and I disagree, if he didn't respect women, then why would he have a woman tattooed on his body in the first place?

Personally i dont care what someone has tattoed on their body if they treat my daughter right its really meaningless.

Try to get your parents to see past the tattoos if he is nice to you then it shouldnt matter to them and they will hopefully see past his appearance to who he really is.

Q. Do people find women with tattoos attractive? Or are tatoos really only suited to men?

A. I'm a lesbian and it doesn't seem like I would like it, but I actually find it pretty attractive on women (if they don't overdo it at least). It makes them look really sexy in my opinion. ;)
