Guy's! What do u think when u see a woman with a tattoo on her breast?

Q. I want one on my breast but I don't want to be seen as a loose woman.

A. if you want one get it but only if it has a meaning behind it! I'm going to be honest its true you get your first opinion in like the first 3seconds you see them, when i'm seeing people coming and going everyday in work i automatically think oh they seen nice..here they seem a bit dodgey..but honestly when i see a tattoo on a woments breast i think oh she's cheap especially when it's an older woman and the tattoo looks awful and saggy! Get it somewhere you can cover up if you want i would advise against it but its your body! Don't let anyone dictate how you 'decorate' it!

A. Why would a woman want a tattoo on her breast? I do not know any woman who has a tattoo on her breast, that does not make sense to have one there, but then again, whatever floats your boat... =P

Q. I wanted to get a tattoo and I wanted to have it right between my breasts because that seems to be the most logical place to have it since it won't stretch and I'll be able to see it. But my family thinks that that is trashy on woman. I don't won't it on my arms or legs. I could get it on the back of my neck though. But what do you think? Is that trashy to you? Would it be better to have it on the back of my neck?

A. It would greatly put out the wrong idea about you that's for sure. I would advice not getting it there unless you're out for "that" kind of attention. But at the end of the day it's your body. do with it as you wish.

Q. I'm due in roughly 8 weeks and after i give birth and heal from any injuries involved, I want to get a tattoo on my back with my daughter's name and her date of birth. I am going to breastfeed (if i can) and I can't find much online about any possible complications of getting a tattoo about 1-3 months after giving birth. Help?

A. Definitely wait until you are done breast feeding. Reputable tattoo shops will not tattoo a woman that is breast feeding because of the risk of infection. In the paperwork that you have to fill out before getting a tattoo, they ask if you are pregnant or breast feeding and if you lie and say you are not and sign the paperwork and then something happens, they can not be held liable. It's possible that you can pump your milk before getting a tattoo to stock it up. Then for 2-3 weeks after getting the tattoo you can use the saved milk you have while continuing to pump to maintain your supply and discard the pumped milk for the 2-3 weeks after the tattoo.

A. I wouldn't worry. The amount that you leak during pregnancy doesn't indicate your future supply. With my 1st child, I leaked constantly from 5 months pregnant on. With my 2nd child, I only leaked on one occassion during the whole pregnancy. Yet with both children, I've had plenty of milk. MORE than enough, actually!

Congrats on the baby on the way! Make sure that you get good support if you have any problems. The first few weeks of breastfeeding might be difficult, but its worth it =) With the proper support, you and your baby can have a comfortable and successful breastfeeding relationship. Not sure if you know this, but I'll share just in case you dont! Make sure the hospital doesnt give your baby any bottles, or it can sabotage your milk supply. It is very important that your body gets the signal to produce milk by having your baby on the breast every time he/she is hungry! Also, bottles too early can cause nipple confusion, so its best to avoid them altogether for at least the first few weeks to get a good latch and supply established. Another thing, if you ever try pumping, remember that it is NOT an accurate indicator of how much milk you actually produce. Many women's bodies do not respond well to pumps, and can only pump a little, or not at all. Your baby is the most effective milk extractor.

A. Its not lady like. Its not cute at all. If you have a good business job and in the summer time you want to wear shirts that are round or V-neck. You might be able to see your tattoo, and its just not lady like.

What do you think is the cut off point for a female to get a tattoo?

A. I think this is a matter of personal preference. It's your body, illustrate whatever parts you'd like. Personally, I don't like tattoos on breasts. To me, they can't be made more attractive than they are on their own. And I work in labor and delivery, so I'm of the opinion that you should wait til you're done having babies to get a tattoo on your belly, unless you really don't care if that cute little dolphin turns into a whale later.

I'm not sure I fully understood your question. Are you asking if there should be a cut off age, as in too old or too young? I don't think so. Part of being young is doing new things, and possibly learning to live with regret. It makes you wiser. ANd my 70 year old grandmother just got her first tattoo. You're never too old to have fun.

I have tattoos ON my breasts.

I have stars tattooed around both nipples.


I have had them done for almost 3 years now, and I absolutely love them.



I can also tell you that having a tattoo on your breast is no different than having one on another part of your body.

As long as the tattoo is done properly, it does not pose any health risks to the person (OR a baby...).



I have actually won a trophy for the tattoos on my breasts at a tattoo convention.



So, I hope you take my answer seriously, because I think in this case I DO know what I'm talking about.

A. We just won't do it. It's a code among tattoo artists. Ink is injected under the epidermis into the dermis. I've seen a few women who were tattooed while pregnant, and never seen any ill effects. But we won't do it if we know you're pregnant. It's one of the first questions on the release form you sign to get the ink. 'Are you pregnant or breast feeding?' If the answer is 'yes', we won't touch you.
