What restaurant has more of a Christian atmosphere?

Q. Apple Bee's, T.G.I.F's, Olive Garden or Red Lobster.

I am taking my Bible study group to one of those restaurants listed next Wednesday, and I want to minimize the chance that anything satanic or atheistic happens when we are enjoying our fellowship. I also want to avoid being served by young men with earrings or anyone with tattoos or young women showing their inappropriate cleavage. Please tell me which establishment is the most appropriate for good Christian folks.

A. Wow, 'inappropriate' and 'cleavage'...there's two words you don't see jamed up beside each other often.

I don't know anything about those food places, as none of them have crossed the Pacific, but I'd call ahead and make soome explicit requests of the management, namely:

All staff must be clad in hairshirts and remove all piercings (women included) lest they be though to be adherents of the practices of Ba'al;

All food must be prepared in strict accordance with the OT;

All toilets to be roped off, and earth laid in the back of the restaurant for 'correct' and 'godly' disposal of waste;

All music on the Tannoy, PA or jukebox must be either choral...or Evie Tornquist.

That's a good start.

A. I'm a Christian and don't necessarily like going to places where alcohol is served. With that being said unless you cook dinner for your friends at home there is a chance no matter where you go you are going to run into what you mentioned above. Jesus met with all types and you should show your waiter by example that your group is different. Apple Bee's and Olive Garden (and I've never been to the other 2) serve alcohol. To me that should signal a red flag right away for a Bible group. There are several places in my town that don't serve alcohol and that is where I would go. I think of this one time we were out and about and the waitress was terrible. We left her a nice tip anyway and a track with the plan of salvation. It is all in how you approach people. I mean just seems a duh not to go to one of the places that serves alcohol unless you agree with it.

Will having a tattoo ruin my chances of getting employed in the music business?
Q. I'm going to school for Advertising/Public Relations, and I have full intentions of taking this into the music industry. I know a lot of people who work in this business have tattoos, but as a young woman just getting started would a visible tattoo hurt my chances of employment?
The tattoo I want to get would be on the inside of my right wrist, and its only one word.
Thanks!

A. I have my tattoo on the inside of my left wrist. I figured it would probably be better on the left than on the right because it would be easier to hide/cover up on my left wrist.

In all honesty, I don't like it'll matter... a lot of employers in all fields are realizing that body modification is becoming more common by the day and they're starting to look past the appearance to the work you'll do. Then again your position may affect how they view it.

Wrist tattoos are easier to cover with bracelets or a watch... especially if the word isn't huge.

A. Well from the looks of it you seem to be a pretty conservative Christian. And I am going to be very respectful and try to help you out because you have the right to believe what you want.
Are you going out for just a regular get together or because you are looking to meet and talk about somethings?
I would stay away from Apple Bee's and T.G.I.F's, they tend to be quite noisy and you might see or hear things that you consider inappropriate.
I have never been to Olive Garden so I can't help you there.
I would try Red Lobster, their uniforms are appropriate, and the atmosphere is a little more quiet and you wont have an issue with a younger crowd since they are a little bit pricier and I have never had an issue with inappropriate behavior. As far as tattoos showing or a young man with an earring, I have never seen anyone there with a tattoo showing or young men with earrings, I believe that the restaurant is probably strict on the uniform and everyone looking similar. But I do believe it depends on which Red Lobster because I have seen different uniforms at different ones. But I would definitely go with them. And you could call ahead and explain to the manager the situation, tell him its a religious preference and you would prefer someone dressed modest, and with no visible tattoos, since its for religion I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge issue.

How many young women have tattoos?
Q. What portion of young women, say under 30, have a tattoo today? I'm looking for a fraction or a percent, like 1/3, 1/4, 50%. How many tattoos do most of them have?

A. It seem survey information varies greatly on that.

According to this article 60% of all western women. http://ezinearticles.com/?Women-and-Tattoos&id=634317

1/4 by this article:

http://www.chacha.com/question/what-percentage-of-american-women-have-tattoos

I do a fair bit of photography and it's rare I come across a young woman who doesn't.

According to one article I read, the trend is slowly changing back with fewer young women getting tats than a couple years ago.
