Guys question about Tattoos?

Q. Ok guys do you like tattoos on women? I'm not talking about being covered in them! . I have two, one on the side of my hand and one on my ankle. If you dont like them why? and if you do how many would you feel was appropriate (and where)? Ladies can answer to :) (about other girls and also about guys ;)

A. I really like tattoos. I am not attracted to women like Kat Von D but I don't think they look bad either, it's just that their look is not my thing. As long as the tattoos are well done I would really like to talk to a girl about her tattoos. If the tattoo is a butterfly or a chinese symbol may be not but an interesting design is something I would like to see on girls.

Q. Soooo I'm considering getting a tattoo done not just a small flower or butterfly but a piece generally triangle shaped on my chest(After I put more thought into my design and the meaning). I love tattoos and piercing but the main reason I want a chest tattoo is to cover a heart surgery scar that I've had since age 4... Im 21 now and its somewhat faded but Im still self conscience about my scar. I know getting the tattoo will give me more confidence to wear low cut shirts and dresses that I NEVER EVER EVER WEAR outside my home. I plan to have a career in teaching but I am more then comfortable wearing high-cut attire.... since ive been doing it for this long. So can you give your opinion on what you think about chest tattoos on women. Im not worried about the inevitable sagging at 50 something issue more so when im like in my late 20s early 30s meeting some guys parents, picking a dress for my wedding..... and not trying to die alone...... you know the general

A. my daughter has a "zipper". she is currently 3. and if at any time she wants to cover that scar with a tattoo i would be 100% behind that decision. you shouldn't worry about the opinions of people you haven't met yet (future in-laws and such) you need to do what makes you happiest with your body you apparently have put alot of thought into this and are looking for a design that has meaning to you .you aren't talking about getting a flaming skull on your cleavage up to your neck.
my advice is find the design that makes you happiest get the work done and go forward with the rest of your life with a new confidence. any decent man will see that confident person and not the tattoo.

Where can I get an amazing wrist tattoo in Southern California?

Q. I want a tattoo on my left wrist. I want it to say "Smile when the world frowns upon you". I'm looking to get it in late December for my 18th birthday. Was it pretty normal for celtic and briton warriors to have tattoos and piercings?

Q. Out of all the different ethnic tribes of that age, with germanic and slavic people, were the celts most into tattoos and piercings and all of that?
Oh yeah, the Picts did have them eh. Second guy, I think some did. I know I have seen pictures, unromanticized, of Gaels with piercings and stuff.

A. Tattoos and body painting, yes. One of the bog-men from Lindow Moss had some kind of greenish/blue paint on him. Tattooing was probably common (the Romans described it) although the preserved British/Irish remains we've found so far haven't had tattoos--but the copper age man from the Alps, Oetzi, had tattoos,and some Russian prehistoric bodies were covered in very ornate designs. Certainly there's no reason why British tribes wouldn't have had tribal markings too.
Piercings are less likely,with the exception of earrings. A metal piercing would obviously still be in place with an ancient body,and I cannot recall any being found. The nearest I can think of was a bronze age British woman who may have had a small ceramic nose stud or lip plug.Can't say for sure that's what it was, but it was lying somewhere near her face.
I think some of the recent artistic depictions of celts have made them look a bit too much like 'new age traveller' types tbh :ie dreads and stuff braided or rolled into their hair. In fact celtic people were rather proud of their looks--especially the hair, which, rather than having it in some matted clump, they fashioned into ornate creations with lime or imported hairgel (true!). They actually had soap too,and were figure conscious-a fat warrior could be fined!

Laser. In laser tattoo removal, pulses of laser break up the tattoo pigment in the skin. There are three lasers used for tattoo removal, called the Q-switched Nd: Yag, Q-switched Alexandrite, and the Q-switched Ruby. The "Q-switching" term refers to the pulses of the laser which are short, high-intensity pulses. The laser used depends upon the colors of the tattoo. Several treatments are usually necessary to remove the entire tattoo. The laser fragments the tattoo pigment, which your own immune system then removes. While the laser does break up the pigment, it also does some damage to your skin, sometimes causing blisters and possibly scarring. Intense Pulsed Light Therapy. (IPL) uses pulses of light (not laser) with a wavelength between 400-1200 nanometers to target the tattoo pigment in your skin. People who are naturally dark-skinned or have dark-skinned relatives are more likely to experience hypo- or hyperpigmentation as a result of intense pulsed light therapy.
Excision. You've probably had teeth excised. Tattoo excision is a similar process. Anesthetic is used to numb the area, and the tattoo is removed via surgery. The skin is then stitched together, or in some cases involving large areas, a skin graft is used. With large tattoos, however, the tattoo is sometimes taken out in parts, beginning with the center and then removing the sides during a later surgery or surgeries.
Dermabrasion. Dermabrasion is just what it sounds like-abrasion of the skin (or derm). The top layer of your skin is abraded away. Ouch! After the procedure, the skin is red and raw and takes several months to heal.
Cover-Up. Some people choose to cover up an existing tattoo with a new tattoo. You'll have to choose a design that works with your existing tattoo. Q. I'm five foot ten inches tall and a size 16 in women's pants. I wish to get a tattoo covering about 85-90% of my back. If I were to lose weight, or have a child, how would that affect the tattoo? It will be a very detailed tattoo. Will it shrink if I lost some weight and will a pregnancy mess it up? Thanks for your time and help.

A. The only way it will shrink is if you shrink. You're a 16, not a big girl hun. When I think of tattoos becoming distorted by losing weight or gaining weight, I think of losing or gaining hundreds of pounds. Tattoos won't shrink, but, they can look funny in skin folds of large people who lose large amounts of weight. Don't worry about it, a size 16 isn't large. Having a child, that may affect your tattoo more than losing weight. When you have a baby you develop stretch marks, which can appear in the design of the tattoo, and cause the skin to look thinner, which makes the tattoo look like it has faded or lost color. Your back though, I wouldn't worry so much about the weight gain in the back as I would about the belly area. You'll be fine, go ahead and get the tattoo, and enjoy every second of it!!! That's a large commitment, and it will change your life! I say for the better, so for for it!!!

Q. I am a 19 year old female, I have one tattoo, but I want to get another one. When I was a freshman in high school I got into a car accident and had to have spinal surgery twice. I now have 3 one inch scars on both sides of my spine totaling six in the middle of my back. They are not directly across from each other. I want to get a tattoo to either cover them up or get a quote about them.Also I don't want them to go down the bottom of my back because I do not care for those tattoos. Please give me your advice or suggestions. Thank you!

A. Since they are asymmetrical, their is no one design to cover it, that is why you will need a whole back tattoo to cover them. Sorry, it's the only way. On the plus side, I have never since a women with a whole back tattoo that didn't look awesome.

What are the pros and cons of getting a tattoo right before college?

Q. I am getting ready to start college in a few days and I was debating whether or not to get a tattoo. What are some pros and cons? And what is your overall opinion on what I should do?
The tattoo I would get would go around my ankle and it has personal meaning about family

A. CONS

The biggest con goes back to the days when sailors started getting tattoos from native peoples. There are people who think only low class people get tattoos. Fortunately that attitude is fading, but it will never fully go away. For women there is that phrase tramp stamp.

You do have to avoid getting certain areas tattooed (hands, face, neck) because they cannot be easily covered if work or other situations calls for it.


If you get a tattoo because getting a tattoo is trendy, you are more likely to regret it later. Same holds true if the tattoo subject is trendy.

No matter what the meaning, subject, or reason for getting a tattoo some people will regret getting a tattoo.

NEITHER PRO OR CON

Your tattoo will be saggy and wrinkly when you are 70, 80, 90, etc. This arguement is akin to someone saying, "I'd like to go back to school, but I'd be XX years old when I graduate.". Really and how old will you be in 4 years if you don't to back to school? Okay, yeah, so what. My skin will be old and wrinkly when I'm 70, 80, 90, etc anyway. You can not make every decision based on what will be when you are elderly.

PROS

It's a relatively safe risk. (Excluding homemade tattoos or from dirty shops.) You might get a local infection even with the best of everything. Still it's not a life-threatening thing if done properly. (Yeah, there are always exceptions to the rule.) You go through some pain but it won't kill you. And despite their popularity, you will stand apart because you choose to have a tattoo.

People from every walk of life have tattoos. Yes that includes Doctors, Lawyers, politicians, and members of the clergy.

A tattoo can hold deep personal meaning. Or you can get one because you like the image. I have both types of tattoos.

A tattoo can be tiny or cover your entire body.

People with tattoos do not care that you don't have tattoos.

A tattoo can lead to a great conversation about tattoos and why the participants in the conversation have tattoos.

A tattoo can be shown off or kept private.

The design can be conservative or wild and funky.

You can regret the things you don't do as much as some of the things you have done.

A well-done tattoo is a thing of beauty.

How long does it typically take to tattoo the top of your foot, like the whole top?

Q. I'm getting the tops of my feet pretty much completely covered, just the tops, not my toes or the sides. And I'm just wondering about how long it will take to typically to cover each foot. I have small feet, each foot tattoo would be about 3 1/2 - 4 inches by 3 1/2 - 4 inches big. And they aren't too detailed, mainly more so colored in.

A. That all depends on how intricate the design would be, example if it's just a single color inked then it would at least take an hour tops, but if it has some design intricacies then it would definitely would take longer.

Another advice is, browse some tattoo sites, they might have some cool artwork and sample designs from their artist, I know a site where some of the artist are women, check it out first so you'll know what design you would want on your feet.
