I was looking at some pictures of people from the tattoo fair, and I found this really interesting one above. It is the woman with the purple and black tattoo on her back, not the green. So what do you guys think?

A. I think that its pretty cool, but personally, I would get something different. When it comes to a back piece, you want it to be unique, something that nobody else has. I like all of what this tattoo is, but i would get something different. Yes, bring in this photo to the tattoo artist and tell them that you want something like this, inspired by this, but not this exactly.

Also if you do i heard of tattoo schools & even online courses, is that training able to replace an apprenticeship?
because I know in the area I live Most of the artists aren't willing to let a woman apprentice under them. so if i had to pay $1800 to get classes that would get me a license just as well, id prefer it.

A. It is indeed illegal to tattoo from any location that is not first cleared by the board of health. Major fines can be imposed as well as jail time. Can people legally tattoo from home? Sure, but they have been inspected and made all the needed adjustments at that location in order to preform such an action as tattooing. And in order to administer a tattoo in most any state (except New Mexico and D.C.) a tattoo business license is required.

I don't know what state you are in so I cannot tell you exactly.

The online courses are crap and money gimmicks. Do not fall prey to them. An artist will take on an apprentice no matter what sex you are. And actually, not sure where you got your info from, the chance to take on a female apprentice is something most any artist will do and want to do. There is nothing more respected in the industry than a chick that can sling some quality ink. So do not let that discourage you.

If your state requires an apprenticeship to obtain a license then NO, a class will not do it for you and be more of a waste. These so called classes are normally done by others who have started out on there own and figured they could make a dime or two by creating videos of doing tattoos. They are garbage and none of them are respected in the industry. If you must learn on your own take every opportunity you have to attend every tattoo convention and participate in or sign up for the many seminars that are held at them.

But there is NOTHING equal to a quality apprenticeship. Save your 1800 and use that to obtain an apprenticeship.

Realistic tattoos vs. Tribal tattoos?

Q. Well, I want to get my next tattoo in a year or two when I can afford it and I know that I want it to be a horse. My question is which style do you think is more appropriate for an animal tattoo. I currently have two butterflies on my left shoulder. They are more realistic style and very cute. I'm wanting to get a horse on my back and I'm leaning towards having the horse's full body rather than just it's head. I love tribal style tattoos especially since they are simple and it seems to be harder to mess it up than a more realistic version. I'm also nervous about getting a realistic version since looking at other people's tattoos of horses which look for the most part, really bad. I don't know, which would look better? Also, once I decide which style, then I'll start the long process of finding the perfect design. I'm not one of those people who just decides on one in a day. This is why it will be about a year or two before I get it so I can make sure I love the design.

Please, if your going to tell me that tattoos and stuff are bad don't even waist your breath. Why do you people look at the tattoo questions if you don't like them? Serious answers only please.

If it's just between tribal and realistic, I vote realistic. IMHO, I don't think tribal looks good on women. Having said that, you have to research the artist beforehand, especially for realistic tattoos. If you go in not sure they're going to do a good job, that's a sign you need to do more research. There shouldn't be a doubt in your mind when you sit in the chair. If there aren't any satisfactory artists near you, you'll hopefully be within driving distance of one that is better or within driving distance of a convention that will have good artists. Another thing, don't make the cost of the tattoo a factor in your decision. That extra few hundred dollars won't mean anything in the long-run. Note that a good realistic tattoo from a capable artist will cost a LOT more than a tribal version.

Are all strippers this unattractive and talentless?

Q. I have never been in a strip club. But last November I went to a hotel suite party at a tattoo convention in Virginia. They hired strippers to preform. They didn't do anything but roll on the carpet and look silly. Some were missing numerous teeth.

My cousin is visiting this weekend and wants us to go to a strip club. Were these strippers just a rare exception, or should I save my money?

A. My first opinion would be to not waste your money. Tell your cousin that you could spend the funds getting to know some girls who want to talk to you because they like you, not because they're trying to see how much money they can make. If your cousin wants to go and sit around with the girls while they dance on him all naked like....tell him to stop being a perv.

That said, some people really do go to strip clubs for entertainment. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, as long as they keep it under control.

I suggest you scope out clubs by what kinds of cars are outside. If you don't see a crowd of escalades and acuras outside on a Friday night, don't go in. These kinds of clubs have the prettier women who can demand more money. Usually their stage entertainment is more than some girl rolling around onstage. They have themes, even coordinated routines sometimes. Stay away from the holes in the walls. Ugly absent-toothed women abound! They dance for the guys who don't have enough money for the pretty girls.

In conclusion, I want to revisit a previous statement. Don't waste your money! There are all kinds of schemes in the strip club (ie. private rooms, lap dances, drinks for the girls that are really nothing but water, etc.). Don't fall prey to these things. I know guys who can go to a strip club, have a good time and leave, in good conscious. I've also known those who consistently spent loads of their hard earned money on a piece of tail. It doesn't make sense. If you invest a little time and emotion, you'll get all that and more for free! It'll be exclusive, and from a girl who probably won't give you hepatitis!!! :)

What's the best way to hide a wrist tattoo?

Q. I have a tattoo on the inner right wrist...job interview's tomorrow and I need to hide it. I do not have any nice long sleeve business shirts for women and it's too hot for a jacket due to the summer heat. Is there another way to hide it than a band aid? Also the tat is 3 birds and are about 1" long each bird

A. your best bet is a concealer that you can buy i guess at a make up store or maybe even a convention store like CVS. If you cant find that i would put on foundation makeup (that you use on your face), and apply that until its covered up. If that doesnt work by a bracelet or watch that has enough width to cover it up but isnt loose enough where you can see your tattoo when you move your hands.

In conclusion, I want to revisit a previous statement. Don't waste your money! There are all kinds of schemes in the strip club (ie. private rooms, lap dances, drinks for the girls that are really nothing but water, etc.). Don't fall prey to these things. I know guys who can go to a strip club, have a good time and leave, in good conscious. I've also known those who consistently spent loads of their hard earned money on a piece of tail. What sign or aspect would get tattoos?

Q. and physically break their skin to break through from convention
Saturn is bones.. does it happen to be the skin as well?
it's true that water signs get tatoos.. i figured already it's like one of their emotional numbing or transcendence things.. but i heard Libra is the sign for the skin..
I know some Libras would never think of getting a tattoo so, it couldn't be Libra alone that does this..
The physiological experience and reasons for getting a tattoo would have to involve some other placements and certain aspects
